Sounds lovely @Rosehugger
i have another one!

those lentils with red pepper, salad leaves and red onion diced. 1 red chilli diced. Equal amounts soya and white wine vinegar. Loads of coriander. Can add avocado.

so tasty!

am a bit peckish waiting an hour till next meal. Will end me on 800 exactlyx

Rosehugger · 09/08/2022 16:18

Lovely! I have more of those lentils, avocados and lots of coriander so might have that for dinner. Maybe a bit of chicken breast also.

Addidas · 09/08/2022 16:44

The soya and white wine gp well together! With the chilli for a kick

closing at 900 and 20 carbs. Had some nuts as was still peckish!

FairyCakeSprinkles · 10/08/2022 06:37

Snap @Addidas, I had a weekend off (guests, one of whom had a big birthday) and the result is 2lb on even though I've given myself two days to clear the alcohol bloat before WI.

The saddest thing is there were genuine attempts at restraint... no crisps, a salad in the restaurant on Sunday, not masses of alcohol, no ice cream on day out etc.

On the plus side one of my guests noticed I'd lost weight.

At my current rate of loss it'll take me two weeks to lose the 2lb so I won't make my one stone goal by my holiday. SIGH

Addidas · 10/08/2022 07:05

@FairyCakeSprinkles same here. I keep telling myself this is a marathon not a sprint. And as long as it’s vaguely heading down! But it is disheartening. Also my holiday in a week.
ill weigh tmrw

plan- yoghurt berries almonds
pork mozzarella dish with grilled courgette

FairyCakeSprinkles · 10/08/2022 07:15

I often feel weight loss is the one area of my life where the effort put in doesn't correlate with the outcome!

Never mind, I'm still thanking myself for starting this and for the weight I have lost. I'll stick to it for the next week and a half, enjoy my holiday and get back on it in September.

Zott · 10/08/2022 11:11

Agreed. Well put re effort not correlating with the outcome. I think my mindset is reluctantly switching to this is going to take me the rest of the year. Eating so much healthy unprocessed food has got to pay off eventually.

Bf coffee
Lunch tomatoes, olives, feta salad
Dinner chicken, courgettes, green beans

Addidas · 10/08/2022 15:32

Closing at 1000 today and closing early. Really hungry. Going to do a hit workout later when hubby back and can take baby to compensate! I find it too hard doing any exercise except walking on 800 cals but find it fine on 1000!

Addidas · 10/08/2022 20:21

Managed my workout and not eaten after it so hoping it balances out to 900 ish at least

tmrw plan is egg cheddar spinach omelette
dinner is salmon and green beans
this is very low carb . I really want to be 10 something next week! For once I have zero plans this weekend so I should manage to behave for once

Jibbajabba1 · 10/08/2022 20:31

Hope everyone is well!
Posting for accountability, had a blip today - kept it to around 1300 calories, but did venture into the world of carbs. Not sure why, didn’t particularly enjoy it and feeling very bloated! Found it difficult to stay active today and had a heat headache - went downhill from there 🙃
Aiming for a good day tomorrow ✨

Stay strong everyone!

Addidas · 11/08/2022 07:04

Morning
am 11.08 today. Whoopy! That’s only a pound loss from last Thursday. And 0.6 from Friday but it’s down.

if I’m 11 tmrw that will be a stone gone! Taken 7 weeks which is average of 2 pounds a week which is suppose normal! But except it to be faster on this diet but I’ve had basically every weekend off plan!

Jibbajabba1 · 11/08/2022 08:10

Yeahy well done @Addidas!

Zott · 11/08/2022 09:54

@Addidas That’s great, well done.

I made myself a ham sandwich after dinner last night. No excuse really.

Addidas · 11/08/2022 11:14

@Zott ham sandwich better than a bag of crisps!

Rosehugger · 11/08/2022 11:36

Well done that's great @Addidas I find progress on any other diet to be absolutely glacial hence why I'm back to this again.

Addidas · 11/08/2022 15:23

Kitchen closed at 1000. Not great but starving today. Must not eat the magnums in the freezer!

I'm going to try and moan less and be pleased I've lost nearly a stone, my clothes are definitely looser and my resting heartbeat is down by 10 beats. That can't be bad!

I'd like to lose another stone really so I have to accept it's going to take until Christmas after I've dealt with holiday weight gain. It's my own fault, it would be quicker if I didn't keep prioritising my social life over my diet!!

Well done @Addidas, a stone is amazing

silvershell · 11/08/2022 19:03

Hello everyone, may I join in?

I did well on 5:2 a couple of years ago, but I had an episode of depression which led to medication that made me care less about what I was eating. I gained 1.5 stone in 2 years. I am 5'75 and at the higher end of healthy BMI for my height, but my body fat is 31.5%!!! Never in my life has it been that high. But I know its what I was shovelling in my mouth and possibly also a minor effect of the medication messing with insulin. I am now 3 weeks off the medication, so I'm ready to sort myself out!

I started Fast 800 today, and would love to be around others also in this WOE. I am doing the 16:8/800 calories for 2 weeks. Clean fasting with electrolytes. Oh, and I'm ovolacto-pescetarian (is that even a term??) - basically I am vegetarian, but eat eggs and fish :)

As of 7pm today, I've had:

250ml soya milk - 100
Bowl of homemade lentil soup - 250
250g salad - 57
2 boiled eggs - 136
1/2 an avocado - 113

= 656

(will probably have some soya yogurt or hot choc)

Closing my eating window at 9pm, opening again tomorrow at 1pm.

Thanks to everyone who is sharing their experiences, it has really helped to get me motivated enough to get really serious again.

Addidas · 11/08/2022 20:46

@FairyCakeSprinkles its not a stone yet! I’m quite good at self sabotage around this mark and it’s coinciding with my holiday! U have also done great - I think we both been at it same time. I also have my social life to blame at weekends ! Do u mind me asking how old u r? I’m 38 so shouldn’t be loosing this slowly!

Addidas · 12/08/2022 07:32

Well I’m 0.5 heavier today. So still 1.5 from that stone. Really going to pull out the stops before I fly!!!

Addidas · 12/08/2022 07:33

Sausages and olives
halloumi ratatouille bake
no milk in coffee!

FairyCakeSprinkles · 12/08/2022 17:58
  1. I think I've destroyed my metabolism by being on a constant yo-yo diet since I graduated. I was lovely and slim up until that point.

How sad is that?! Half a lifetime of dieting and I'm still overweight. 🤷‍♀️

Addidas · 12/08/2022 18:51

@FairyCakeSprinkles same here. We can do it this time. Today hasn’t gone to plan. I’m just writing out my next 5 days before I get on that plane! I can def shift a pound if I behave in that time (and obv put it back in with 1 glass of wine on holiday in 30 mins)

silvershell · 12/08/2022 19:09

Well that's day 2 done and dusted, just got my evening soya yogurt with walnuts to have before bed. I feel fine, I managed to eat more protein today (hard for a veggie who hates tofu) and added a vitamin C gummy to my morning. I get vitamin C in my multivitamin, but I don't take it until after I've eaten as it has iron in it, so the vit C in the morning should be good for energy. Carbs are still a bit high but they will be high until I have finished the pot of soup I made yesterday!

Day 2
200ml soya milk
125g salad with 1/2 avocado
Bowl lentil soup
12 broccoli flowers with 100g tuna, soy sauce, honey and thyme
200g soya yogurt with a sprinkling of crushed walnuts
= 828 Calories / 59.3g Protein / 79.5g Carbs / 35.3g Fat

Fasting window opens at 9pm.
