Hello everyone. Great to find this thread. I did Very Fast 800 last year for 8 weeks, getting to normal BMI for the first time in 12 years, but then put the weight back on - and a bit more. Perhaps the end of Covid restrictions made me go a bit mad after I'd lost the weight. This time the plan is to do VF for 12 weeks then go to 5:2/calorie control and generally just not to go mad and eat and drink everything! I've signed up again with Nutracheck for a year. I toyed with doing ther eating plans but TBH this fits more with my life and it's really good to see the weight actually shifting and not just bimbling about with a pound here and there forever. Plus doing 16:8/TRE makes me feel good generally - obviously has other benefits.
Was back from holiday Friday evening, weighed myself Sat am and had gained 4lbs putting me at 13st 4lbs. I'm 5'7" so need to be 11 and a half stone or under really. 10 and a half would be amazing, I'd be a size ten. Currently a 14 but a few things were getting a bit tight on holiday.
Anyway I didn't go mad on the first day back and ate about 1200 calories between 11am and 7pm and drank lots of water. I don't normally do daily weighing but I just felt so much better, and on Sunday morning I was 13st 0! So all the holiday gain had gone - I think most of it was water retention/carb bloat as I'd had a long trip home and was so bloated/swollen ankles etc on Friday night.
Then Sunday I ate about 1000 calories.
Today I took my lunch into work and had salmon/red pepper houmous on dark rye sourdough (the only bread I have on VF 800), with cherry tomatoes, celery sticks and cucumber sticks. I don't usually have breakfast, just drink water and black coffee in the morning.
Tonight dinner will be something with chicken and puy lentils - I've got plenty of VF friendly foods in so should be able to put something together.
Aiming to do my normal exercise, yoga, lots of walking, Body attack class on Saturday, gym in the week, perhaps a run or two but fairly short.
