I'm managing to do my Thursday, Friday and Sunday classes, and not much more, at the moment. Speaking of which, it's high time I packed in the work and got organised. I will use my (((new bike))) to go to the gym, perfect weather for it.

Kyse23 · 12/05/2023 12:03

20 min country pop spin
About to do 20 min weights - chest and back

BezMills · 12/05/2023 13:52

Good effort @Kyse23

Had a good class last night, 3 members and one of the instructors came along too. I broke my Sensei a couple weeks ago, sadly. She is, like me, congenitally incapable of taking it easy. We were doing some completely hectic Muay Thai track and she twanged a groin doing the knee block. So she's dropped out of the class for now, a sore loss.

After two weeks of just one member in my Friday class, today I had none. One of my members (filthy traitor!) did BodyPump just before, but wasn't up for BodyCombat.

I did a bit of TKD and stretchin, then did some one-legged kettlebell and dumbell overhead presses. I'm counting it.

45 days.

Kyse23 · 12/05/2023 13:58

I'm getting there slowly! Not very good at pacing and admitting I have chronic illnesses and probably should be less hard on myself

Got the bike in March last year and these are my numbers so far

You're doing well, Kyse.

Yes, Roonetta, having to get out for a walk with the dog every day is good, but he's so slow! I usually do about 3km with him but it can take 45 minutes as he stops to sniff every blade of grass...

I took a rest day yesterday as I was feeling very achey after the classes and swimming. Back to an early class this morning, which sweated my hangover away. Grin

Great numbers Kyse! Keep,it up! Star

Well done using the opportunity to exercise anyway Bez. I would be counting every single class if I were you and I would also count cycling to the gym! Grin

Love your sniffy dog motherforkin although I can imagine how frustrating it is when you just want to get going.

Lots of gardening yesterday so didn't do a workout as such, but did manage 900 skips (with 20 second breaks between each 100).

Got my workout in early today - tough band workout and I am sweating Angry

I was planning a rest day today after another night out (I'm way too old to survive two nights out on the trot these days) but I've managed to walk 18,000 steps and I had an unexpected 30 mins in the sea so I'm going to count it!

Where did you find your band workout, Roonetta? I've a couple of trips over the summer and I was thinking throwing a band in my bag could be useful if I had time to do anything.

30 min 80s spin (great playlist!)
20 min legs and glutes
Climbed a 9ft tree to rescue a kitten

Motherforkin it was this workout from Nathalie Hayward on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/tv/CH7X6jsnic5/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Thanks Roonetta, I'll look her up. I like that playlist kyse, I might borrow it!

Gym class today. It was very shoulder heavy so I hope I managed the weights OK and won't regret it. I'm going to that there London tomorrow for two days so I don't know if I'll get any proper exercise in but I'll definitely get a lot of steps! (Flying Ryanair so I'll end up walking about half way across the country just to get on the plane)

Days exercised 85.

roonetta · 17/05/2023 12:58

Have a nice trip Motherforkin Smile

1000 skips yesterday and a 45 minute 'bit of everything' workout with Nathalie Hayward today.

One of my members hurt her back last week, and then I did myself on Sunday doing some one-legged dumbell work, just before my class. gosh durnit! I didn't do myself any massive favours by teaching the class, but hey, the show must go on.
I have my three classes this week then a week off. I'll just take it real easy and dial back the physicality during my class. Easier said than done to be fair!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 18/05/2023 21:42

Hope you're OK, Bez.

I did a lot of walking with variously weighted backpacks while we were in London (DS completely missed my packing memo Hmm) so my legs were very tired by the time we got back! Back to normal programming this evening with a really good class at the gym. I'm discovering the evening instructors are much better than the morning classes.

Days exercised 86

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 19/05/2023 15:51

Swim at lunchtime. I didn't stay in as long as planned (about 800m vs the planned 1k) as my ear phones wire has completely fallen apart and my boredom threshold was drastically reduced by an annoying flappy man who didn't understand lane etiquette 😤

////annoying flappy mans who don't understand lane etiquette\\

They are the worst!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/05/2023 12:11

Class early this morning and a dog walk. I'm ready to go back to bed now...

My back is still not quite right but I managed to get through teaching on Thursday (wasn't great but taught my class). Sunday I felt a bit better and now I'm off on holibobs to visit family in Scotland. I've booked into a couple of BodyCombat classes up there, which I'm really looking forward to. I love teaching, but just being in a class is a different kind of enjoyment.

I'm also looking forward to meeting another instructor and hopefully will get a chance to take a coffee with her and pick her brains a bit.

roonetta · 22/05/2023 18:24

Busy weekend so nothing done except skipping.

Thanks @roonetta !

Trip up was fine, braw feed from MiL and got into FiL whisky after dinner. Good start. I'm going to take a brisk walk before breakfast, down an old railway now a footpath.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 23/05/2023 19:00

Sorry to hear about your cat, kyse, I hope you're doing OK Flowers

Enjoy your holiday Bez, sounds like it's going well so far!

I had a nice sea swim on Sunday. I debated about counting it but my arms were so sore yesterday that I am! Unplanned rest day yesterday but a hard class this evening. I haven't done battling ropes in years so I'm going to be in agony tomorrow.

Days exercised 90

Kyse23 · 24/05/2023 15:27

30 min spin class
5 min stretch

BezMills · 24/05/2023 16:18

Another 2 hours walking this morning and swam in the pool. Only about 500m but I'm pleased that I haven't forgotten how to!
