Good luck with the temporary move Oubliette. Life gets in the way sometimes, but as Bez said, all the lifting is exercise in itself.

Taught BC on Thursday (5 attended) and Friday (just 1).

With one person it's a bit weird different. I tend to go inward a bit when I'm teaching, still, because the choreography and chat is still quite a lot to manage. Really good teachers spend most of their attention on the class, because they can manage the choreography and technique chat kind of on autopilot. When you are 1-1, it's really noticable for both of you, whether the instructor is paying attention to the instructee or not!
It was good in a way, to be reminded of that. I'm getting better over time, it's something that takes a lot of getting used to and a lot of practice.

Well done Bez! Like you say the more you do it, the easier it will get. You must get a great buzz when the whole class is following what you are doing Star

10 min barre (I've been doing this as a glute activation before spin)
20 min 90s pop spin
5 min spin cooldown

Kyse · 01/05/2023 13:48

20 min full body strength
10 min hip stretch

Happy Bank Holiday everyone.

I decided to risk walking my hill walk yesterday and it went OK so today I did a short jog. Then a lovely sea dip with a friend. We managed 20 minutes, which was incredible given how long it's been since we were last in properly.

Got to a class at the gym this evening. Different instructor who was excellent so I'm going to try to hit her classes instead of the guy in the morning ones.

Had a nice class on Sunday, 8 members. I bumped into one of them in the pub later, and had a nice chat. Small town I live in.

I did have LM BodyAttack pencilled in for Monday night but it was cancelled as no members were booked in. So I had an extra rest day. I went in to do the stretching class, which I really enjoyed.

Just back from a nice swim. My shoulder was a bit grumble from 850m but I managed to coax it to 1000m.

That must be frustrating Bez, waiting on others to know if your class is going ahead or not.

Well done on the swim Motherforkin. Good to see you have managed a sea swim too Smile

It's so good to be back in the sea, Roonetta, it's good for my soul. I hadn't realised how much I missed it. I'm away tomorrow so hoping to go down over the weekend. I need to work out a schedule for it, taking into account work, gym classes and dog walks!

Gym class today. The programme was good but the instructor was awful. One of the other attendees had to correct her twice on what the programme short hands meant Confused

Nice hilly walk this morning. I felt every squat I did earlier in the week as I went up and down steps and slopes.

Do you ever sea swim in the rain Motherforkin? I imagine it's lovely.

30DS L1 done. I still find L1 the hardest (apart from the dreaded chair squat with v raise in L2 Confused).

61/200 (by the way, you've done yourself out of a day Motherforkin - you put 75 down twice Wink x)

I need to shift off the sofa!
Plan is

Today - 30 min spin
Sun - 20 min upper body and 15/20 min spin
Monday - 20 min glutes and legs
Tuesday - off

I only plan a couple of days at a time!

Kyse · 07/05/2023 12:23

Yesterday I did the 30 min spin

Today - 20 min spin, 20 min arms and shoulders weights

BezMills · 07/05/2023 18:30

BodyCombat Thursday and Friday, day off yesterday. This morning had a big hip stretch while watching telly first thing ( 90-90, butterfly and frog stretch mainly ). Off to the gym and moar stretching before teaching BC. Had a great class today, 7 members and two fellow instructors. Ministry of Silly Walks today, I am actually glad Body Attack isn't om tomoz.

So I did, Roonetta! What a nice surprise. Pool swim today. I don't tend to sea swim in the rain. It is lovely when in there but getting dressed afterwards is just like every failed family day out to the seaside of your childhood 😅the weather was too bad and/or water too choppy to go in over the weekend so I'm hoping to get down one evening if the weather forecast is right.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/05/2023 20:16

Hard class today with lots of weights and squats.

You made me laugh with the failed family day out analogy Motherforkin Grin. God that brings back memories, and not good ones Confused

I have twinged my lower back, I suspect whilst gardening at the weekend, so I avoided Jillian today and did a slower paced Pilates workout.

Hope you're OK, Roonetta.

Pool swim at lunchtime. My watch is being annoying and has stopped counting my lengths so going by time I got in about 1km.

Nothing for me yesterday or today. I have chronic illnesses and finding I'm struggling to work and exercise on the same days at the min!
Need to fit in a spin class, chest and back day and leg day at some point

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 11/05/2023 12:30

That sounds like a lot to manage kyse.

Class this morning. And since dh forgot he had a meeting, also a dog walk. And a dog walk this evening. The legs will be walked off me today...

roonetta · 11/05/2023 12:46

Sorry to hear that Kyse. Take it steady Flowers

I'm fine thanks Motherforkin, just too much bending over in the flower beds Grin. Stayed with Pilates again today though.

That's the good thing about dogs, you have no choice but to walk them so can always get your steps in, like it or not Wink
