Hope everyone has managed to stay safe in the storms. We had heavy snow which has frozen overnight so this morning’s run was quite a workout! Beautiful day here now.

Icy parkrun this morning, which was slow in places, not a PB but First Lady in my age category which I was chuffed with.

Brilliant day out fell running in the lakes today recceing Abraham's tea round. I thought we might have to cancel due to storm but the weather was kind!

Wow @giraffeski that was some run! I like snow running too but this morning was less fun. The snow partially melted yesterday then froze solid overnight. So large parts of the road and paths were ice rinks, and the softer snow had got really hard & crunchy. So it was a bit of an adventure, stayed on my feet so that’s a win!

Hello, very rookie runner here but hope it's OK to join you all.
Still really windy out there today, felt like running with a bungee around my waist into the wind! And then I felt superwoman-fast once I got to a sheltered spot!

Welcome Cavagirl. I also had a very windy run. It felt like I couldn’t get my breath at points, then I’d go around a corner and all great ... until the next corner.

Had to bail out yesterday after only 2 miles due to totally opposite weather as I thought I was going to be blown off the fell

Rest day for me today. Been putting together my kneeling chair I bought as i'm fed up of sitting at my desk all day at work and I thought it was less obtrusive than a standing desk
In my training plan I am supposed to have done a strength session tonight but I didn't do it as I forgot and just remembered now, I will do it tomorrow morning while the kids are not looking as i'm working from home.

Good interval session in the rain this morning, delighted to see the rain as it was getting rid of the ice. Still some dodgy bits so had to run in the road but luckily it’s not busy here.

More snow! Just a covering, perfect for hiding icy patches which made my run a bit more interesting! Absolutely freezing too. Bit of a plod today, body just felt tired but that’s just how it goes.

Very cold and snowy run this morning, hate getting cold wet feet but felt better for being out! Ran on Monday and a social run on Tuesday. Just wish the wind would go away, hate running in it!

Very windy but a clear day and blue skies in parts!
Had a massive session with the physio yesterday who gave me loads of exercises for my unbalanced glute meds and must have absolutely activated them as I could feel them especially on my weak side all the way round today

Beautiful day here, still cold & a bit breezy. Ran up a local hill, views a bit hazy at the top but lovely. Still some snow & ice to keep things interesting!
