Oh dear @UnaOfStormhold - well done for getting out!
Another cold wet run this morning, horizontal sleet is not nice.

The snow has gone, sunshine today. Still freezing though! Steady run by the river before parkrun

Park run this morning, which was rather chilly and a woodland run yesterday.

Steady sunny run today. Not fast but I do feel a bit stronger on the hills so quite pleased with that.

Longer run this morning before the rain.

Hill reps this morning; on holiday so it was weird going out for a run at 10 instead of 6:30!

Steadily getting back into running - keeping my heart rate low so as not to overdo, hard to tell how it has affected my fitness. I think I should be ok to do my 19 miler in May though going for completion not time. I am not quite sure how to use the time in between as I want to rebuild my fitness but can't do that and still taper fully. I think probably lots of medium length aerobic runs, no speed work, easy S&C and a bit less weekly distance than I was doing pre-covid is probably the best option, with a few days of complete rest just before the race itself.

That sounds like a sensible plan @UnaOfStormhold; keeping an eye on heart rate and paying attention to how your body feels should keep you right.
Nice steady run for me, enjoying the later runs on holiday. Starting to get a bit milder too.

2 social runs this week along the beach, enjoying the milder weather.

Enjoy your holiday emummy. Can’t recommend any training UnaOfStormhold apart from don’t overdo it.

Beautiful sunshine today, finally got the shorts out! Legs pretty tired, they seem to feel heavy the day after a gym session, so just took it easy.

A couple more sunny runs, although this morning was frosty again.

First run of May; 4 weeks till the half. Grey & muggy today. Saw deer and lots of cute lambs.
