I've been stuck in all day studying and waiting for dh's very big and very expensive Christmas present to arrive (spoiler, it still hasn't Hmm) on a day when I actually really wanted to go for a run! Anyway, I just did a 20 min hiit cardio/squat thing in the side passage of the house with the gate open so I could see if the van came. Thankfully only one neighbour walked passed and they already think I'm a bit eccentric Blush

Hope everything is OK that you have to come back to the UK, Sophie. Skiing sounds fun, so fingers crossed it all works out for you.

No idea what I'll manage in the next few days either, but very happy Christmas to you all Xmas Smile

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/12/2021 09:44

Gorgeous sunrise dip this morning. Now need Brew

SophieLion · 24/12/2021 10:41

Actually things are no good MotherForkin but I can't face talking about it. Thank you for your concern 💗 Just trying to stay positive and strong and keep myself healthy. Happy you enjoyed your sunrise dip - sounds idyllic but it is something I would never do as I don't like cold water at all!

Today did the day 24 of the Christmas advent calendar (dumbbell cardio) plus the abs session from yesterday.

Days exercised 262

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/12/2021 10:57

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that Sophie. Sending lots of Christmassy good vibes ❤ mind yourself.

Thinking of you @SophieLion Flowers.

A very reluctant KB&T L1D25 & 6W6P L2D19 (75 min). I always feel these sessions should count double!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas day. I woke with a lurgy yesterday (negative for covid though) but I had an easy, short jog this morning which seems to have shaken it out a bit. We have family gatherings the next two days so unless I can manage early mornings I probably won't get anything done.

OublietteBravo · 27/12/2021 17:30

I took a couple of days off. Managed to persuade myself to get back to exercising today though. KAbs L3D20 & KB&T L1D36 (70 min).

I have done two days of exercise and I'm a little embarrassed to say one was on Christmas Day. Was feeling a bit down later in the day due to everything going on (and plus I had eaten sooooo much) so went out for a run (which made me feel better but was tough as I was so full...). I've never exercised on Christmas Day before and hope you don't all think I'm some kind of weird exercise freak.

Then I've also done the lunges day of the days of Christmas (which was ok actually as no Bulgarian lunges) and an arms and shoulder workout.

Hope you feel better soon MotherForkin 💐

Travelling yesterday so day off. Today a 7km interval run and a short lilly sabri lower abs workout.

Days exercised 265

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/12/2021 09:54

Totally understand the need to exercise when you're stressed, Sophie. Sometimes I find the feeling of being very "in my body" (aka gasping for breath and aching) helps release something. I hope it was useful for you. Flowers

I didn't do much yesterday but went for a short run this morning.

Thank you MotherForkin. Will fly to UK just after new year. Spent hours yesterday working out all the logistics as somehow 4 countries are involved..... and I hope i don't catch covid anywhere. Greece has crazy cases now too: they literally doubled overnight and now we have way more cases than we've ever had. It's scary.

Anyway 4 hours of skiing today. My quads hurt - doing a 7km run yesterday when I'm not so used to running anymore was not the best idea I've ever had!

OublietteBravo · 29/12/2021 19:15

Wow - 4 hours of skiing sounds amazing @SophieLion! Although I’d definitely be in pain if I tried it.

I'm glad to hear you managed to get skiing Sophie, I hope you have a great time.

I've been struck down. Dh, dd and I all have covid. Luckily not very bad for any of us, dd has only had a headache so far and dh and I have an annoying cough and fuzzy head. Annoyingly when I have had this type of viral chesty cough in previous years a run really helps to shake it loose and shift it quicker but obviously can't do that when locked in for the next few days.

SophieLion · 30/12/2021 16:28

Oh very sorry to hear this MotherForkin. Wishing you all a speedy recovery 💐 and that you don't get it too badly. Do you know how you caught it?

I'm going for my PCR tomorrow so I can fly on Sunday. Just hoping I'm negative - it's such a worry these days. Hoping I don't pick it up in UK either.

Another day of skiing for me.

Days exercised 267

OublietteBravo · 30/12/2021 19:23

Sorry to hear that @MotherForkinShirtBalls. It’s so frustrating being confined to the house. I hope you all fully recover soon without any further symptoms.

KB&T L1D27 and 6W6P L1D20 (75 min)

Should make it to 200 hours. Just!

Hello, I was on these threads earlier in the year and fell off when my brother was diagnosed with a terminal illness and died a couple of months later - trying to climb back on the exercise wagon this week and have gone back to basics with the 30 day shred this week. L1D3 done today.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/12/2021 21:45

And sorry to see that lots of people are having a tough time. Flowers to everyone.

roonetta · 31/12/2021 07:21

Sorry to hear that Motherforkin. Hope you all get very mild symptoms and recover soon.

Hope your journey home goes smoothly Sophie. Enjoy what's left of your break.

Whoop on 200 Oubliette!

Welcome back @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson, lovely to hear from you 😊. So sorry to hear about your brother Thanks.

I have been very lazy and have done zero exercise at all this last week. I will be back on the wagon when things get back to normal on Tuesday so in the meantime a Happy New Year to you all 🍾🥂

SophieLion · 31/12/2021 14:26

Hello professorRadcliffe Smile** nice to have you back and I'm so sorry to hear about your brother Thanks

Good luck for the 200 oubliette 🍀

Will you try the new epic Roonetta?

I'm not expecting to get much exercise done whilst in UK (fingers crossed I make it there safely - you cannot imagine the logistics) but may try some Caroline girvan callisthenics workouts if any time.

Skiing again today.

Days exercised 268

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2022 and thank you for the wonderful company, inspiration and support 💗💗

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 31/12/2021 18:33

30DS L1D4 done. So impressed by the number of days other people have done this year. And thanks for the kind words and flowers.

Happy New Year, everyone, and see you on the other side!

OublietteBravo · 31/12/2021 20:27

Hello @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson. Welcome back. I’m sorry to hear about your brother Flowers

KAbs L2D20 and L1D21 (60 min)

(215/35; 200h 00min)

I didn't make it to 250 days this year, but I did make it to 200 hours. So not too bad really!

I also managed at least 15,000 steps every day in December (and just over 500,000 steps for the month).

Happy new year everyone! Let’s hope things get back to something approaching normality in 2022.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/12/2021 22:14

Hello all, well done getting to 200 hours and so many steps in December, Oubliette!

Nice to see you back, Professor. I'm sorry for your loss Flowers

Thanks for keeping me going this year, everyone, taking the bad with the good. Fingers crossed for a better one for all of us in 2022.

SophieLion · 01/01/2022 08:49

Happy New Year! 🎉

Congratulations on the 200 hours and the step count Oubliette! 👏🏻👏🏻

How are you feeling MotherForkin? And the rest of the family?

I wanted to run this morning but my legs are really sore from skiing so I did a cat Meffan energising morning yoga flow and a Caroline girvan braced abs workout. Will ski later when the family wakes up!
