30DS L1D5 done. Days exercised in 2022 1. My goal is to do 200 this year and finally to crack JM's Bodyshred DVDs; I've tried three times and given up every time, and I want to get all the way through before I turn 50 in 2023. But I need to get fitter before I tackle them, hence going back to the 30DS (and I may do RI30 as well before I hit Bodyshred).

SophieLion · 02/01/2022 10:59

Good luck with your exercise goals Professor! I've found this thread to be great for motivation and inspiration. Roonetta did the body revolution too.

Not sure what my goals are.... would like to do Caroline girvan's epic endgame which starts tomorrow I believe (although I won't start it until I get back home) and also try to do a bit more running and yoga this year.
I read that girvan was the second fastest growing you tuber last year!

A 5km interval run today. Pushed myself today with the speed as was feeling good (despite the fact that I didn't really sleep last night which usually means I'm slow and sluggish).

Happy new year everyone. Luckily we've had a very easy experience of covid but I have had very little energy for the last few days so this morning I did a short core and legs thing in the garden.

Think I'm going to brave counting my days this year but not have a target.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/01/2022 16:53

Glad you haven't been too ill, @MotherForkinShirtBalls.

No JM here today, but DD and I went for a climbing session - good fun and definitely counts as exercise! So days exercised 2. Back to the Shred tomorrow.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 03/01/2022 09:39

30DS L1D6 done, with slightly heavier weights and a few proper push-ups. I'm back at work tomorrow, need to work out how I'm going to fit exercising in with the work and school routine.

Days exercised 3.

roonetta · 03/01/2022 13:44

You are very motivating ladies. I have stuffed my face over the last week but eased myself back in gently today with a 2 mile WWL with my new 3kg ankle weights (1.5 each). Worked up a sweat (I think I mostly sweated out chocolate Blush). I am not setting a goal either this year but will count my days. I like the look of Epic Endgame Sophie. I think I will start this and see how I get on time wise. I am going to try getting up at 5.30 to get my exercise in, as I found there was always something requiring my time and exercise seemed to come last and often didn't get done at all. Again, I'll see how this goes. I have done it before and it's actually nice knowing I won't be interrupted by anything and also knowing that my exercise is done for the day.

Professor I did the same as you and started with 30DS followed by RI30 and then did Body Revolution before Body Shred. Shred was definitely the hardest. You will smash it!

Glad your covid experience was a mild one Motherforkin.

Epic Endgame day 1 done. Only managed to do 80/100 reps of the finisher and now my legs are wobbly Grin

SophieLion · 04/01/2022 11:17

Greetings from london! Made it safely but now in self isolation pending PCR result.

Glad to hear you are recovering MotherForkin Smile

I've heard about the 100 rep finisher Roonetta! I think 80/100 is pretty amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻

Hope you manage to figure out the work and exercise routine professor. 🍀

Day 2 of callisthenics week today (upper body). Had done day 1 back in the summer. Was very hard today - arms killing me.

Days exercised 3

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 04/01/2022 17:26

Hope you get your results quickly Sophie. Was the actual travel as arduous as you feared?

I am feeling very flattened from this dose, and have very little energy so I did a short you tube thing today.

Days exercised 2

roonetta · 05/01/2022 06:45

Hope you get your results quickly Sophie.

Sorry you are still feeling the effects Motherforkin. I have heard from people who've had Covid that fresh air helped them a lot. I know you like your walks and swims, so I wonder whether that might speed up your recovery (apologies if you are already doing this) Thanks

Epic Endgame day 2 upper body. 100/100 reps on the finisher today Grin

SophieLion · 05/01/2022 07:39

Well done on 100/100 Roonetta! I'm quite intrigued with this new style of finisher. I wonder if I'll like it - saw people complaining on the fb group.

Sorry to hear your energy is low MotherForkin and hope it improves.

Yes my PCR was negative. The actual travel was fine MotherForkin but it was all the preparations (paperwork, figuring out where to do tests and when everything needed doing etc etc) that were incredibly time consuming.

SophieLion · 05/01/2022 10:36

Calisthenics week day 3 (glutes and hamstrings).

Days exercised 4

Ps wonder where oubliette is. Hope all is ok.

OublietteBravo · 05/01/2022 19:08

Hello! I’m fine - just being a bit lazy as I’m still on holiday this week! Also a bit indecisive about what exercise targets to aim for this year. I’m going to aim for 10,000 steps per day. Other than that, I think the key is variety. I might think about setting monthly targets.

Anyway, I’ve just done 30DS L1D1 and L2D2 (which took me 54 min in case I decide to count exercise time).

Epic Endgame day 3 glutes. Not a fan of this one.

Days exercised 4

SophieLion · 06/01/2022 09:44

Hi oubliette!

Yes Roonetta I've read on Fb group that the glutes day was really boring....** well done on finishing it!

Calisthenics day 4 (full body) today.

Days exercised 5

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 06/01/2022 13:32

Out of covid jail today - woo hoo! I think you're right, Roonetta, fresh air will definitely help so now that I'm allowed out again I'll have to get back to it. I did a half hour fun/walk this morning. I was slow but feel better for it.

Days exercised 3.

OublietteBravo · 06/01/2022 18:48

30DS L3D1 and Ri30 L1D1 (61 min)

Days exercised: 2

Whoop Whoop Motherforkin! Glad you can get back out in the fresh air.

Only a 20 minute full body workout today as I am in the office today so will be walking in and back too. I'm not sure whether I will carry on with Endgame or just do the shorter workouts. Finding the 40 minute ones seem to drag first thing in the morning when I'm half asleep Grin. Will persevere for another week and see how I get on.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 07/01/2022 08:45

30DS L1D7 done. I got derailed by being up for hours on Monday night coughing and struggling to breathe; by the time the episode was over it was 3 am, and my chest felt tight for the next couple of days so I thought I’d better take a break from JM. It did kick me into talking to the doctor, as it wasn’t the first time. I’m a bit worried that they just accepted my self-diagnosis of asthma brought on by being cooped up at home with a cat to which I’m mildly allergic during last winter’s lockdown, without seeing me. I now have an inhaler so I hope that will deal with the next one.

Yesterday I was just lazy and disorganised, but got back on it today.

Motherforkin, really glad you’re free! And glad your PCR was negative, Sophie.

Days exercised 4.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 07/01/2022 10:34

Sorry to hear you're under the weather too Professor although that's interesting about your asthma recurring. I'm still coughing a lot and it's definitely worse at night and it had occurred to me that it feels a lot like the asthma I had as a teenager.

I got out for a better run with my running buddy this morning. Neither of us has done much over the break so we're going back to mid way through the c25k programme to get us back on track.

Days exercised 4.

OublietteBravo · 07/01/2022 18:02

It seems to be the time of year for being under the weather. DD has a horrible cold (definitely not covid - negative LFT and PCR). I hope I don’t get it.

Cardio for me this evening: BFBM (53 mins)

Days exercised: 3

This tiredness is bloody annoying. I did the Christmas tree clear out this afternoon and only managed a 20 min hiit after it. Better than nothing I suppose.

Hope you're doing OK with your family stuff Sophie.

OublietteBravo · 08/01/2022 18:26

I did 20,000 steps today, so I'm counting that as a day of exercise.

Days exercised: 4

30DS L1D8 done. Planned rest day tomorrow (as opposed to the unplanned rest days earlier in the week).

Sorry you're still very tired, MotherForkin. The asthma is also very annoying; I've never had it before, it developed last March. I'm supposed to have a chest X-ray to make sure it's nothing more sinister, but of course by the time I actually get the X-ray I'll have died if it is sinister.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 08/01/2022 20:48

Oh, and days exercised 5.
