"A middle aged woman with a sedentary job" sums me up quite well Professor Grin. I find Girvan kinder to my joints than Jillian, although nothing has ever worked as well for me as 30 Day Shred at dropping the pounds.

Well done on the spin class Motherforkin and 7k run Sophie

Rest day yesterday as didn't feel 100%. Day 8 Fuel posterior chain done. I hate hip thrusts, especially with the band included.

Days exercised 92

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 12/06/2022 15:43

Bodyshred week 6, workout 6, second time. On to workouts 7 and 8 next. However, I have dinner out tomorrow and Tuesday so can’t start till Wednesday at the earliest. What a shame.

I will give Girvan a go and will try not to be too put off, but does she have any short ones? My limit is 30 minutes.

Well done MsO! You’re smashing this.

Days exercised 91.

roonetta · 12/06/2022 19:25

Yes Professor she has 30 minute ones (even some 20 minute ones) Wink

SophieLion · 13/06/2022 14:23

Good you managed your class MotherForkin Smile

Hope you're feeling better now Roonetta.

Professor, Caroline girvan has a lot of 30 min workouts (excluding warm up and cool down though) - the Heat, Iron and Fuel series are all 30 mins. Then there is her Christmas series of workouts which were 20 mins on average (again excluding warm up and cool down). There are also a lot of stand alone workouts and for sure some of those are less than 30 mins. Have a look through her you tube channel. It's really well organised in the playlist section.
(Sorry just realised Roonetta responded too!)

Today Fuel day 6 (quads) and a short blogilates abs workout.

30 min power zone endurance ride done

SophieLion · 14/06/2022 07:26

5km run. Another run which felt really really hard.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 14/06/2022 21:39

30 mins cross trainer today. Hopefully I'll get to a class tomorrow.

The weather must be getting hot now, Sophie, is it? Running in the heat is so hard.

SophieLion · 15/06/2022 09:06

Yea it's full summer now and very hot MotherForkin. I only really run indoors on the treadmill with the AC on now though. We did run outdoors at weekend but it was cloudy and also a bit later in the day.

Fuel day 7 - upper body.

Days exercised 111

roonetta · 15/06/2022 17:40

Not done anything for the last couple of days. DH has been off and we have been doing a bit of DIY so no time for workouts. Hope to be back at it at the weekend

ILikeHotWaterBottles · 15/06/2022 21:29

I'm new!

I've recently recovered from massive surgery and have gone back to the gym to get fitter and lose a lot of weight. Think I want to lose 3 stone at least if I can, will take me a while but I will succeed as I want to lose what I gained after my surgery.

Wish me luck 💪

Purpleavocado · 15/06/2022 21:36

I'm new too! I'm doing Sydney Cummings summertime fine 3.0. Today was day 25 60 minute total body. Haven't missed a workout yet, already feeling stronger.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 16/06/2022 08:30

Hello ILikeHotWaterBottles (that could be my username, I'm a big fan) and Purpleavocado 🖐

Yesterday ended up a bit mad with work so nothing useful achieved. Ass and abs class today.

Days exercised 81.

SophieLion · 16/06/2022 12:42

Hello IlikeHotwaterbottles and purpleavocado! Welcome to the thread!

Sounds like you've been through quite an ordeal hot water bottles. Hope you are fully recovered now and good luck with the exercise plan 🍀🍀

I must check out Sydney Cummings purpleavocado. But 60 minutes is normally a bit longer than I like for my workout. Is everyday 60 mins?

Fingers crossed you manage a weekend workout Roonetta! And the good ole "abs and ass" class MotherForkin 😆😆

Did a 7km hike with school friends this morning. Walked to some beautiful waterfalls. Way back was all incline (but I was too busy talking to notice 😳). Wasn't going to count as exercise day but now feeling quite tired so will count it.

Welcome Ilikehotwaterbottles and purpleavocado!

Well, I've had a fail this week: I was out three evenings, and although in theory I could have exercised on Wednesday evening in practice I decided it was much too hot. So Bodyshred week 7, workout 7, first time today. Bloody hell, it's difficult (and there are a couple of moves I just can't do - I can just about do a crow pose forwards, but I can't do one sideways).

Days exercised 92.

SophieLion · 17/06/2022 10:01

Hope you enjoyed your evenings out professor. I've heard it's very hot in the UK. It's tough when it's so hot there as it's just not set up for hot weather. Exercising is very tough in that kind of heat. Crow pose is a yoga move I think and not easy if it's the one I'm thinking of.

Today Fuel day 8 (posterior chain). Quite enjoyed this. Did you like it too Roonetta? Plus a girvan abs and core workout.

Days exercised 113

roonetta · 17/06/2022 12:34

Welcome Ilikehotwaterbottles and purpleavocado

I liked all of it apart from the hip thrusts Sophie. I have real trouble doing those without feeling uncomfortable. It must be my technique Blush

MsOllie · 17/06/2022 13:45

Some time off for me. It's too hot and my mum died on Wednesday evening

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 17/06/2022 14:56

I’m so sorry, MsOFlowers. Was it very sudden?

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/06/2022 15:00

I'm so sorry, MsOllie. I hope you're holding up Flowers

MsOllie · 17/06/2022 15:12

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 17/06/2022 14:56

I’m so sorry, MsOFlowers. Was it very sudden?

Yes and no, diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in 2017 but there was a very rapid decline. She refused to eat or drink (I think she realised it was progressing and chose to take control) and went to hospital with pneumonia on Saturday.
They rang us on Thursday to say you need to come over, my dad went with me in the afternoon but refused to go back at night as he was too distressed. I had a weird feeling and went back at 10.15pm and she died at 11.45pm with me next to her and an audio sleep story playing

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/06/2022 15:17

It sounds like it was peaceful in the end, MsOllie, which is lovely for your mum and I hope brings you some comfort. Take care of yourself x

SophieLion · 17/06/2022 17:19

I'm so very very sorry Ollie. I know what you're going through. Do whatever you need to do to get through this. The pain does get a bit easier with time Flowers

ILikeHotWaterBottles · 17/06/2022 22:43

Sorry to hear that @MsOllie 😢

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Did another night at the gym, probably did too much but oh well I'll stretch it off.

roonetta · 18/06/2022 08:53

So sorry to hear this MsO Flowers xxx
