I missed out day 3 Sophie. Not a lover of glute workouts but might revisit if you enjoyed it.

Day 7 Fuel, upper body complexes. This was the hardest upper body workout I have done. In fact, I am not sure how much I got out of it because I modified a lot, especially the push up variations. Time will tell. Let's see if I can brush my hair tomorrow Grin

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 08/06/2022 12:51

Ugh, work is horrible this week and I could do with some proper exercise but I just don't have time! Aiming for an early spin class tomorrow before things have a chance to go pear shaped....

MsOllie · 08/06/2022 17:11

I'm 30 mins into a 90 min ride. Eww

MsOllie · 08/06/2022 19:01

And I am done

Wow, great dedication MrO! Star

SophieLion · 09/06/2022 07:48

90 mins Ollie??!! Wow!! Super impressive!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hope the work situation improves MotherForkin 🤞🏻

I know what you mean about this upper body days where you can barely do anything Roonetta. Had quite a few of those where just stopping and starting all the way through and wondering if I really got a workout....

Fuel day 4 today - full body supersets. Found this very fast paced as the rest period was so short. Also did a couple of short lilly sabri abs workouts.

SophieLion · 09/06/2022 07:55

How did you find fuel day 5 - full
Body cardio - Roonetta?

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/06/2022 16:43

Wow, 90mins is a lot, MsO, I did my 30 this morning and while it was good, I couldn't have done longer. I very much recognise that boredom is my exercise nemesis Blush

MsOllie · 09/06/2022 17:08

Thankfully I tuned out most of the time, did a lot of singing, browsed MN a bit Grin
The last 20 mins was definitely tough and the last 10 were grim

roonetta · 09/06/2022 17:14

I don't think I found day 5 too bad Sophie. There was one circuit which included snatch, press, clean and press and an uneven push up which I struggled with a bit Confused. Will be interesting to hear what you think of it.

roonetta · 09/06/2022 17:15

That isn't to say I wasn't dripping with sweat by the end though Blush

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 09/06/2022 21:32

Bodyshred week 6, workout 6, first time. Terrible week here, I've basically been at work all the time (MotherForkin, I feel your pain.) And I have an interview in June which the RMT have now messed up, so they've switched it to online, which I'm seriously annoyed about.

MsO, I'm dead impressed, I couldn't do 90 minutes of anything. I get much too bored. I'd be much fitter if I didn't find all forms of exercise so dreary.

Days exercised 88.

MsOllie · 09/06/2022 21:38

The upside with 90 mins is you get to eat midway through it Grin my banana made it bearable
Taken a day off today

SophieLion · 10/06/2022 07:40

Fuel day 5 (full body cardio) and a short lilly sabri lower abs workout. Day 5 was ok Roonetta. I thought it would be worse (day 1 was the hardest so far) but I did play around a lot with weights and went lighter where necessary. She used the same weight throughout but I can't do the same for upper and lower body.

Well done for pushing through that Ollie 👏🏻👏🏻I know that feeling of just wanting to stop but telling yourself you mustn't!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 10/06/2022 09:06

Bodyshred week 6 cardio 2 done. Three kinds of burpees and far too much jumping. Bleuch. Once more through workouts 5 and 6 and then I have to move up to the last two workouts.

I have to say I don't like the sound of Fuel at all....I need to decide what to do after Bodyshred, but I think Caroline Girvan is probably beyond me.

I was planning a body pump class today but my shoulder, chest and back are aching after physio yesterday (I'm learning it's bad when the physiotherapist apologises for the pain but says she has to keep going) so I'm giving myself a rest today.

MsO, I can't imagine voluntarily doing any exercise for so long that it requires a meal break 😅

Hope your week is made better by the imminent weekend, Professor! Don't know what the RMT is but I completely understand the frustration of rearrangements being out of your hands.

Without that banana I would have given up Grin

FTP test today Envy 20 mins all out max power.. to see how much my fitness has changed

MsOllie · 10/06/2022 16:52

I did it!! My result went from 77 to 146 (total output)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 10/06/2022 18:20

Well done MsO!

roonetta · 10/06/2022 19:22

Hope works settles down for you Professor. Girvan is definitely not beyond you, especially after Bodyshred, but they are totally different. I would urge you to give one of her workouts a go. You can modify the weights and see how you get on. I bet you'll enjoy it.

Physio sounds painful Motherforkin but fingers crossed it will be worth it Flowers

Walk to/from work Thursday and Friday

Bodyshred week 6 workout 5, second time. I should at least get week 6 done in a week!

Well done MsO. Hope you feel better in the long run for the physio, MotherForkin. (The RMT is the rail union, by the way - the strikes have messed up the in-person interviews so they've gone online.)

Had a look at Girvan and felt intimidated just looking. Jillian's recognisably the same body type as me, just a million times fitter and a bit thinner, and about the same age too. Girvan's a member of the master race: I'm not sure she'll have much for a middle aged woman with a sedentary job.

Days exercised 90.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 11/06/2022 11:35

I had great plans to try the 45min spin class this morning but I got the time wrong so I did 45 minutes two episodes of workin' moms on a cross trainer instead.

Professor definitely give Girvan a go. I tried a couple before my complete lack of motivation to do exercise at home took root and while they are tough they are doable, especially of you've been doing JM up to now.

SophieLion · 11/06/2022 17:39

I don't think you should rule out Caroline girvan professor as you can really adjust it to your level according to the weights you choose. I do that all the time. Plus there is also a beginner week which you can start with to see how you find it. And yes, she is super toned but I don't actually aspire to have that much muscle (and don't think I could really). Just love feeling stronger.

Congratulations Ollie - that's huge progress!

7km run outside with DH. Felt so unfit plus we did a lot of uphill (which I don't normally do). Feel wrecked now.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/06/2022 12:53

I managed to get my timing right today and got to the 45 min spin class. It was good, much more of a mix of sprints and hill climbs which was nice for a change. Bloody hard work though!

Wooo glad you made it! I'm about to do a 30 min one to test out my new zones
