Yes, sniff stops have become part of my walking and running these days, Sophie Grin I tell myself they are an annoyance but really they are a welcome breather.

I did a very hilly walk early this morning (with sniffs) and a 15 minute core and leg thing when I got home.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/03/2022 11:29

KA L2D4 done. One more time tomorrow and I'll move on to L3 (groan).

Welcome, pawpaws, please do join!

DD is fine, thanks - all symptoms gone and she's bouncing off the walls having to be at home. DH and I are still negative, hoping we stay that way

Days exercised 36.

roonetta · 02/03/2022 14:02

Grin at the 'sniffs' Motherforkin

Yes, covid well and truly gone now thanks Sophie.

Good to hear your DD is feeling well Professor. Good luck with L3!

Girvan chest and shoulders today.

Back in the office tomorrow and Friday so will probably count my walk to and from (about 2 miles). It remains to be seen whether I will be motivated to do anything at the weekend Hmm

Days exercised 30

pawpaws2022 · 02/03/2022 14:19

@SophieLion it seems that histamine only has a certain life period so the idea is you sweat, the hives come up, and then don't come back for X amount of hours
Huge improvement so far

20 min beginner class peloton last night
Day off today

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 03/03/2022 08:36

KA L2D5 done. Planned rest day tomorrow (as opposed to the unplanned ones I keep having) as I’m in the office and will probably be home late. Hoping it’ll be DD’s last day of isolation and we’ll be able to get out on Saturday. On to L3 on Saturday, can’t say I’m looking forward to it.

Walking definitely counts, roonetta. I hate it and would do anything to get out of it.

Days exercised 37.

SophieLion · 03/03/2022 12:02

Glad you're better now Roonetta and your DD too professor - great you didn't catch it as well.

I only found out about peloton from mr big in And Just Like That . It looks pretty cool. Do you enjoy it pawpaws?

5km fartlek run and the girvan tucked abs workout* today. Run was tough - could have done with a few "sniff breaks" MotherForkin!*

Days exercised 45

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/03/2022 12:59

I had none this morning, Sophie! I'm restarting a 5 to 10k programme with my running buddy so we at least had planned walk breaks. We've gone back a few weeks because we're both off form but we did 4.5k this morning and hoping to be doing 10k by mid/ June 🤞

pawpaws2022 · 03/03/2022 14:44

@SophieLion I love it so far! I always enjoyed spin bit the screen is great, you can pick your length/effort/music and it's all very sleek

SophieLion · 04/03/2022 10:12

Good luck with the new programme MotherForkin 🍀

I think the peloton looks fun pawpaws. Do you do virtual races with other riders too?

Endgame day 29 today. Full body strength and cardio. The rest breaks were very short so it really did feel like a cardio workout. Did a 5 mins lilly sabri abs workout.

Days exercised 46

roonetta · 04/03/2022 18:29

My walk to work turned into a jog as I was running late Confused Surprised myself with how far I got before I had to stop. Paying for it today though, my shins are killing me.

So walk/jog to/from work Thursday and Friday

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 05/03/2022 10:00

KA L3D1 done. About ten different exercises in variations on plank (plus some one-legged burpee push-ups). Oyyy. And lots of the moves need good balance too (warrior 3 crunches, anyone?). I think this may be about the limit of what I can do, maybe I should rethink Bodyshred as a plan. Wondering what to do next, I don't want to start Bodyshred yet because the Easter holiday will mean I lose momentum just as it gets really hard, so I may move on to RI30 and postpone the evil day.

Peloton looks great fun, pawpaws, but where do you keep it? I've occasionally been tempted, and DD would like it, but I suspect it would become an expensive laundry airer in our house.

It's March, well done to all of us for hanging in there! Days exercised 38.

SophieLion · 05/03/2022 14:37

Oh well done Roonetta 👏🏻** sorry about the shins. Hope they feel better now.

One legged burpee push up doesn't sound very nice professor....

By the way, I have sent a message to oubliette just to check she is ok. I realised she hasn't posted for almost a month which isn't like her. Of course she doesn't have to post and hopefully all is well but she just doesn't want to post at the moment.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 05/03/2022 16:56

She did say she was having a break from social media a while back, Sophie - hopefully that's all it is, but would be good to know if she's OK.

pawpaws2022 · 05/03/2022 19:39

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson don't judge the mess Grin but it's my spare room. It's actually quite a small footprint for the mat/bike
There's actually a MN product test for one just appeared where you can try it for 4 weeks if anyone is interested

SophieLion · 06/03/2022 08:48

Yes I remember that MotherForkin and I did mention that to her. Just said i wanted to check she was ok. Hopefully made it clear not stalking her or harassing her!

Endgame day 30 (cardio) today plus a blogilates abs workout. Did not like day 30 at all. And finisher was 100 burpees which was awful. Apart from the first 20, did them in sets of 10 to try and keep my form decent. It took me ages: She had finished and id only done 50!

pawpaws2022 · 06/03/2022 12:29

20 min ride done which was HARD
It looks like nothing but the heavy resistance in the saddle killed me off. Still a beginner though so pleased to have upped my personal best output

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 06/03/2022 19:15

I've been away for most of the weekend so only managed snatches of exercise. I'll count what I managed over 3 days as 1! I've forgotten to count the last couple, so I think I'm at 31 about bloody time.

pawpaws2022 · 07/03/2022 18:21

Another 20 min peloton ride done Smile

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 07/03/2022 18:32

I was exhausted this morning so only 3.5k run. Have promised the dog a long walk to make up for abandoning him for the weekend Smile

Days exercised 32

SophieLion · 08/03/2022 07:16

Great that you are improving on your personal best pawpaws.

Hope you enjoyed the weekend away MotherForkin

Yesterday endgame day 31 (legs) and a girvan plank challenge. Today day 32 (upper body) and a short girvan abs complex.

Days exercised 49

roonetta · 08/03/2022 12:03

Have you done Bodyshred before Professor? I managed to complete it once and while I modified A LOT in the later phases, it is still a great workout. There is no way I could ever manage the wheel pushups (holding crab position while doing upside down push ups!). They are all insanely fit.

Great news on the personal best pawpaws

Well done on passing 30 days Motherforkin

Almost at 50 days Sophie!

Drove into work yesterday as I had to swap over my computer. Girvan full body circuits done today. I have a painful right arm, like a sharp pain in the top of the arm if I move it in a certain way, which then travels through the elbow into the wrist. Not sure what i've done, but will have to take things steady.

Days exercised 33

SophieLion · 09/03/2022 07:43

I am intrigued by a wheel push up Roonetta. Googled it but it just showed me push ups with a wheel!

Do you think you've trapped a nerve or something if the pain moves down the arm to the wrist? Hope it gets better soon Thanks

Today Endgame day 33 (glutes and core - lots of hip thrusts.... and I really dislike sumo deadlifts) and a 5 mins lilly sabri abs workout.

Days exercised 50

SophieLion · 09/03/2022 12:36

Ah thank you! Now I understand. Those are hardcore. Last time I tried (was one of the Jillian DVDs) I could get into a wheel but moving up and down?! No way.

roonetta · 09/03/2022 13:01

You did better than me Sophie, I can't even get into position Blush. I think you are right about a trapped nerve. I will give the heavier weights a rest for a bit.

I did a Pilates workout today with light weights from someone on Instagram. I was surprised at how out of puff I got.
