30DS L3D5 done. I may actually finish it in time for our half term holiday. The Tube mishap on Tuesday wasn’t me (though I have been known to fall asleep or get absorbed in my book and miss my stop): there was a fire next to a station on my route home and they closed the line, so I had to go a very long way round.

I can’t run, my knees hate it (the rest of me hates it too, but my knees are a genuine reason not to). Impressed by people who can do it!

Hope your ear is properly better soon, Sophie. MotherForkin, my motivation is very low too - hoping it comes back as the mornings get lighter.

Days exercised 22.

SophieLion · 04/02/2022 07:32

That's great to get in so many runs MotherForkin. From my experience yesterday, I think I get more endorphins from a run than any other type of exercise too. Is your shoulder appointment in March?

Oh that sounds like a bit of a performance professor. I hope nobody was hurt in the fire.

Have you decided not to follow an epic program now Roonetta?

Endgame day 14 (full body).

30DS L3D6 done. Four more and at least I can move on to something else.

Fortunately no-one hurt in the fire, Sophie, it was in a garage after hours, but the fire brigade were worried about an explosion so the Tube had to close.

Weekend off for me now as I’m away, might try to do a bit of gentle yoga but nothing serious as I’ll be staying in a small hotel room.

Days exercised 23.

SophieLion · 05/02/2022 08:10

Hope you enjoy your weekend away professor!

5km interval run for me today. And hopefully
Lots of endorphins too!! 🤞🏻

SophieLion · 06/02/2022 08:39

Endgame day 20 (cardio). This was very manageable - I think the Jillian DVDs are harder. Even the finisher (100 jumping jacks) was fine.

Rest day tomorrow as meetings all morning.

Hello! I keep forgetting to post and getting behind (an unintentional consequence of trying to spend less time online).

@SophieLion - I hope you’re ear is feeling better.

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson - I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. I know what you mean about getting bored when a particular workout. I’m finding it less tedious now that I’m mixing them up more.

@MotherForkinShirtBalls - I empathise on the long work days. My workload seems to be slightly crazy at the moment. I’m hoping it will settle down soon.

@roonetta - the Girvan dumbbell HIIT sounds interesting. What weights are you using for it?

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 06/02/2022 16:06

So far in February I’ve done:
Tue: rest day (out for dinner to celebrate DS’s 16th birthday)
Wed: Ri30 L1D2 (34 min)
Thurs: Ri30 L2D2 (34 min)
Fri: KAbs L1D2 (31 min)
Sat: 20,000 steps

Days exercised = 23

I meant to clarify my previous post but got distracted earlier.

I didn't mean to suggest JM workouts are easy or offend anyone doing JM. It's just girvan's HIIT ones are usually awful (especially the EMOM) and there's no way I could do more than one a week. Whereas JM are hard but you can manage to do more than one a week.

thank you oubliette and well done on all the exercise and happy birthday to your DS 🎉🥳🎂. Ps good for you that you're trying to spend less time online. I'm trying to read more instead of my phone...

roonetta · 07/02/2022 12:54

I am so impressed with all of the exercise going on. I feel embarrassed that I am not putting in the same effort Blush

I have completely lost my motivation Sophie and can only bring myself to do whatever 20 minute workout takes my fancy on the day. When I have tried committing to a programme lately, I find myself making excuses for not doing it; too long, too tired etc. so I do as little as possible, and tell myself something is better than nothing. I hope as the weather improves, I will get my mojo back!

I only used 3kg for the dumbbell HIIT Oublitte. I think Caroline used 6kg and I usually use half the weight she is. I enjoyed it as it is not as hectic as her other HIIT or EMOM workouts.

Hope you had a lovely weekend away Professor.

I haven't done any exercise since Thursday, but have done my usual walks to and from the office Friday and today. I won't count them as exercise though. I will be in the office for 3 days from beginning of March so it will be even harder to fit anything in Angry

OublietteBravo · 07/02/2022 19:30

‘Only’ 3kg sounds pretty hardcore to me! I think I’d probably only manage 2kg (although that might be because I’d either have to use 2kg or 5kg dumbbells as that’s all we have!)

Hard Body L2D1 (48 min). Definitely harder than level 1!

30DS L3D7 done. Had a great weekend away, eating and drinking far too much, and I think DM had a good birthday.

Oubliette, how do you plan what to do if you're not doing a programme? I hate exercise so much I couldn't be doing with the extra mental load of working out what to do each day. I need a structure.

Roberta, being in the office makes things a lot harder - I just cannot drag myself out of bed to do a workout before I go in, and I rarely have the motivation to do one once I get home.

Days exercised 24.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 07/02/2022 21:52

Sorry, roonetta autocorrect did its dreadful thing to your username!

SophieLion · 08/02/2022 07:43

Sorry about the lack of motivation Roonetta. I hope your exercise mojo returns soon.

I know you weren't asking me professor, but I find it incredibly helpful to follow a program. I don't have to think about what to do each time and I feel a sense of achievement when I tick off that workout on the chart. Glad you enjoyed your weekend away too!!

Endgame day 16 (shoulders) for me today.

Days exercised 26

roonetta · 08/02/2022 09:47

Haha i've been called worse Professor Grin

Girvan 20 minute full body workout done. Will try and get a WWL in later.

Days exercised: can't remember and my last post is on the previous page Blush

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 08/02/2022 19:56

You think you're doing badly Roonetta Blush I find it so hard to make myself move at all other than dog walks and school run at the moment. I seem to be perpetually tired and unmotivated. I did force myself to do a slow jog in the rain while dd was at football earlier and I feel so much better after it, I'm annoyed I'm not making myself do more.

Days exercised 15

OublietteBravo · 08/02/2022 20:40

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson - I don’t really plan. I just look at my DVD collection and work out which one I can face. I find I’m better when I can choose.

Today I selected Killer Abs L2D2 (32 min)

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 08/02/2022 20:50

30DS L3D8 done. Two more to go, and I still can’t do two sets of the travelling push-ups on my feet, I have to drop to my knees. I won’t do anything tomorrow, I’ve got a long day at work and then something in the evening.

I couldn’t cope with choice, Oubliette, I need everything laid out for me so that all I have to do is get my kit on and start.

Motherforkin, didn’t you have Covid not long ago? Maybe the lack of motivation is your body telling you that you still need to rest.

Days exercised 25.

SophieLion · 09/02/2022 07:30

Endgame day 17 (lower body). Finisher was 100 Bulgarian lunges.... which actually wasn't quite as bad as I had anticipated.

I can barely do any push ups on my feet professor! Let alone travelling ones so well done!! 👏🏻👏🏻

Days exercised 27

roonetta · 09/02/2022 13:47

Well done on ploughing through Endgame Sophie. Are the finishers getting any better?

Managed to do a Girvan 30 minute chest and triceps workout today and a 1 mile WWL. Got a 2 mile WWL in yesterday too.

Days exercised 23

roonetta · 09/02/2022 13:48

I just re-read your post Sophie. 100 Bulgarian lunges!!! Shock

OublietteBravo · 09/02/2022 17:41

What’s a Bulgarian lunge? (I’m going to regret asking that, aren’t I?)

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 09/02/2022 18:51

Ri30 L3D2 (30 min). Ugh - duck walks! And jumping lunges.

Days exercised: 26

OP posts:
SophieLion · 10/02/2022 07:07

Oh those duck walks are hard oubliette. That level is a real killer for the quads.

Bulgarian lunges are the ones where you have back foot elevated on a chair. Jillian has them in L3 of killer buns and thighs.

Sounds like you had a good exercise day Roonetta 👍🏻👏🏻

Today endgame day 18 (arms and abs).

Days exercised 28

roonetta · 10/02/2022 14:12

Urgh duck walks and jumping lunges, the worst combination Confused

Girvan leg day done
