Oh wow, snow sounds amazing Sophie. Is it likely to last long?

I don't think I could get out of bed at 5.15 for anything less than a fire, Roonetta! Your plan sounds far more sustainable to me.

In an effort not to send myself back to square one, I took a rest day yesterday and did a 5km fast walk this evening.

Days exercised 7 (I think, my page set up has my last post on the previous page so I can't check without losing this one too lazy to retype Blush)

SophieLion · 26/01/2022 08:09

The snow is beautiful Roonetta but the children have another day off school today which means me running round like a lunatic feeding them and tidying them.... fingers crossed tomorrow there is school! It's not actually snowing right now MotherForkin but all the previous reports suggested it would only be Monday and Tuesday.

Good luck with the exercise target professor.

5km interval run (which was really tough. I'd not run since 2 January) and a 20 minute morning yoga flow.

Days exercised 16

roonetta · 26/01/2022 14:06

Fingers crossed the kids are back to school soon Sophie. I know what you mean about running around after them, especially as the Christmas break wasn’t that long ago! Sometimes we just need our own company to recharge and to be able to think of ourselves for a change.

Girvan upper body and a 2 mile WWL

Days exercised 17

OublietteBravo · 26/01/2022 19:27

I’d heard about the snow too! It’s hard to imagine that much falling in Greece.

I forgot to post yesterday. I did KAbs L3D1 (32 min).

This evening I did a new workout DVD (it was part of a multipack - I think I've done it once before, but that was several years back). Hard Body L1D1 (45 min). I actually really enjoyed it. I’m familiar enough with Jillian to be able to cope with the combination moves.

Oh I used to do Hard Body quite a bit oubliette. It's got loads of combos which make it interesting but like you said, you need to be familiar with the moves as otherwise you miss half the time trying to figure out what to do. It was a good workout.

We usually have a good snowfall once a year here. Although it stopped for a few years but seems to have come back again. We had a lot last year and it caused havoc because it had a high water content and so was very heavy and loads of trees collapsed onto cable lines.

Unfortunately schools won't open tomorrow Roonetta but at least it will be online. And online again for Friday if they don't open then.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 27/01/2022 11:07

Hope the home schooling is going OK, Sophie. I shudder at the thought of ever doing it again.

Not feeling great today so I did a short run this morning.

Days exercised 10 (I undersold myself on my last post)

SophieLion · 27/01/2022 11:40

Endgame day 9 - full body. I enjoyed this as there was a lot of variety.

Hope you feel better soon MotherForkin.

Days exercised 17

roonetta · 27/01/2022 12:19

Hope you get your peace and quiet back soon Sophie. Endgame day 9 sounds interesting - I might try and do that one.

Are you still feeling the after effects of Covid Motherforkin? Hope you get back to your normal self soon Flowers

Don't think I have ever done Hard Body Oubliette but I may have watched it Grin. Is it the one with the DJ?

Girvan chest and triceps and a 2 mile WWL done

Days exercised 18

SophieLion · 28/01/2022 07:50

Yes it is the one with the DJ Roonetta.

Endgame day 10 - Tabata HIIT. I don't mind Tabata HIIT as I like the 20 second intervals but the finisher was awful: 50 alternating hands sprawls and 50 normal sprawls.... Really not liking these 100 rep finishers.

Days exercised 18

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/01/2022 10:03

30DS L2D10 done - glad to see the back of that! On to L3 tomorrow, which means I should be able to finish the Shred just as I go away for half term.

Days exercised 17.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/01/2022 13:30

30DS L3D1 done. Jumping lunges and rock star jumps, this one might be designed to wreck the knees. I'm afraid I do Anita on both, my right knee is a bit dodgy and I don't want to make it worse.

I don't have Hard Body (I don't do the longer workouts, I get too bored). What does the DJ do? Is he / she multi-tasking with the workout?

Do you still have snow, Sophie?

Days exercised 18.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/01/2022 13:48

30DS L3DS2 done. Owww.
Days exercised 19.

SophieLion · 31/01/2022 06:54

Wow you've been exercise-busy professor 👏🏻👏🏻 it has stopped snowing (but still piles of snow everywhere) but thankfully children back at school!

I got an ear infection so took the weekend off as was feeling rather rubbish. Today epic endgame day 11 (legs).

Days exercised 19

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/01/2022 12:31

Oh no, ear ache is horrible. I hope you're feeling better soon, Sophie. Glad the children are back to school!

And yes, your keeping going is very impressive Professor !

I had a rest day and a busy day at the weekend, 10km walk followed by an exceptional dinner on Saturday and a hangover recuperation day yesterday. 5km this morning.

Days exercised 12

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 31/01/2022 20:24

30DS L3D3 done. Seven more to fit in before half term (and I’m away at the weekend as it’s my DM’s birthday).

Sorry about your ear infection, Sophie. No wonder you haven’t felt up to exercise, they’re miserable. Hope you feel better soon.

Days exercised 20. Will award myself a rest day tomorrow!

OublietteBravo · 31/01/2022 20:28

Thursday: 6W6P L2D1 (33 min)
Friday: 20,000 steps (I listened in to the 3 town halls on my phone whilst tramping around the local area)
Today: 6W6P L1D1 (34 min)

Days exercised: 19

Not my finest January!

OP posts:
SophieLion · 01/02/2022 07:25

Yes I'm feeling a bit better, thank you MotherForkin and professor. Glad it's February too - January was horrible for me.

Happy birthday to your DM Professor! Your dinner sounds like it was fun MotherForkin!

Endgame day 12 (upper body) today plus her deadbug core/abs workouts.

Days exercised 20

roonetta · 01/02/2022 12:37

Ooh lots of catching up to do as I have had a few rest days, so forgive me if I don't remember everything.

I always found Jillian's workouts hard on my knees Professor. Hope you have a lovely well deserved weekend.

Glad to hear the kids are back at school Sophie. Rotten news about the ear infection, but it looks like you are on the mend Flowers.

Well done on the 10km Motherforkin. Sounds like you enjoyed the dinner Grin

20,000 steps Oubliette! Impressive - I barely get 7,000 in a day, unless I do a WWL.

I found a lovely 20 minute Girvan dumbbell HIIT workout and did that today. Although it was only 20 minutes, it was exhausting.

Days exercised 19

SophieLion · 02/02/2022 07:48

I read somewhere that the 20 min HIITs are as much work as she just has less rest than the 30 min ones - so well done Roonetta 👏🏻👏🏻**

Endgame day 13 (glutes and hamstrings). This was quite a nice, varied one and not too many hip thrusts.

Days exercised 21

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/02/2022 12:34

Long work day yesterday so I couldn't face anything after. Run this morning.

Hope you're on the mend Sophie.

Days exercised 13.

roonetta · 02/02/2022 19:09

Thanks Sophie. I am definitely feeling the effects of the HIIT today Confused

Girvan 30 minute upper body done

Days exercised 20

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/02/2022 20:15

30DS L3D4 done. I am so bloody bored with the Shred by now!

I feel your pain on the long work day, MotherForkin. I left the house at 7.30 yesterday morning and finally got home at 9 in the evening (admittedly mishap on the Tube contributed to that).

How are you feeling, Sophie?

Days exercised 21.

SophieLion · 03/02/2022 09:00

Ear is improving but keeps getting randomly blocked and I can't hear. Thank you all for asking.

What was the tube mishap professor? Did you fall asleep and miss your stop?! Yes her HIITs are tough Roonetta!

MotherForkin: how many runs do you t go by you do a week?
I think I need to do a bit more as in so out of shape every run now....

Today a 5km run (tough!) and girvan's tucked abs workout.

Days exercised 22

roonetta · 03/02/2022 18:31

Urgh that's a really long day Professor. I got fed up of the repetition with Shred too. I ended up doing levels 1-3 consecutively and repeating, but it is still boring.

Sorry to hear your ear is still not 100% Sophie Sad

Just a 2 mile WWL today.

Days exercised 21

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/02/2022 19:50

At the moment I'm trying to do 4 a week Sophie, between 4-5km each depending on my motivation, which is very much on the slide. I didn't have it in my legs at all yesterday though so I really need to get back to doing some squat and core work. It just so bloody boring not being able to do proper cross training with this stupid shoulder thing. 😤 Sorry to hear your ear still isn't right, I hope it is soon.

Really tired today so I did a 4.5km walk while dd was at football.

Days exercised 14.
