Well done waitingonasmiley Smile I'm edging slightly closer to level 2 but seeing as I've just had 2 days off from it I'm still 5 days away. I'm on holiday in 10 days and am going to get on with it til then (not expecting miracles but slightly less thigh wobble would be a win!)

I’ve had Friday and Saturday off although I did exercise mon-thurs which is good for me. Shred tonight, although I have plantar fasciitis so not sure if it’s the best idea!
Has anyone on here had plantar fasciitis before? My plan for this week is spinning Monday, swimming Tuesday, something (shred, Pilates, run?) weds and Thursday - spin and swim should be fine for PF right?

Question folks: is it possible to do Level 2 if you struggle with push ups? I find even doing the knee ones really tough as am a GG cup...

Ocelot yes I’d say so! I’ve done all the levels a few times and never been good at push ups 😄

Would def recommend using 2.3 kg weights

I haaaaaaate planks too! Is there loads of planks in ripped in 30? I have the dvd and tried it once.... if there’s loads of planks that’s probably why I haven’t done it again? 🤣

L2D6 done! Had a big weekend of eating, now back on track for this week (I hope!)

Bendy I had PF due to some ill fitting trainers (would you believe) and I had to have complete rest for about 3 weeks. After this time, as this was when my feet were starting to feel better, I went to a proper running shop, had my gait analysed and bought some trainers which supported me in the right way (Brooks GTS18 if you're interested Smile). I haven't had an issue since then, but I thought I could power through it having stopped HIIT'ing and carried on spinning. It didn't, I needed complete rest. I hope it clears up soon for you.

Happy thanks. I did get some new trainers a few months ago, they make my toes numb but I’ve been ignoring that. They are the newer version of my previous trainers which I didn’t have any problems with so I thought they’d be fine. Seems too much of a coincidence that I now have PF! Ugh how disappointing! I do have PF insoles in them. I need to find a running shop with gait analysis, i last had that done years ago.
I am overweight which can cause PF, but I want to keep exercising to lose weight! Frustrating. Thanks for the advice, i’ll get down to a shop!

VERY late night and relatively early start this morning (thanks, DC Sad) and should be back on it today after 2 days off.
It's raining, so I can't work out in the garden and DH has rearranged the furniture so there's less space inside. Trying to work up the motivation to do it now - post-coffee, pre-breakfast and in difficult circumstances...

Bendy I had the same symptoms, numb toes and then my arch felt sore.. so I carried on spinning but it really wasn't helping. I completely understand both the frustration of not exercising and the painful misery of PF. Rolling a golf ball under my arch helped a bit but I'm sure you've tried everything. Good luck at the running shop I looked like a tit running around the centre of Cardiff on a Saturday Grin worth it for feet that hurt no more!

That’s promising affectionincoldclimate I took my ‘before’ so hopefully see a difference after level 2.

Day 2 level 2 completed today. I HATE the walking push-ups

ocelot41 I couldn’t do push-ups at all until day 9 of level 1, so there’s hope yet!

That sounds hard babyinthacorner . Hope you manage to get get peace to do it.

Very pleased to see this pop up! I was planning on starting 30 day shred tonight. I did it a couple of years ago and had really good results. Even the day 1 and 10 photos I could see a noticeable difference.

I've just finished couch to 5k as well but i think i definitely need the toning up along side.

Look forward to joining you all!

L3Dwhatever DONE! Usual toddler sitting on me mid press-up/sit up shenanigans and hard wooden floors not great for the knees, but it's done. I'm sweating. I can eat breakfast now
Thanks waiting and welcome pip!
Good luck fellow shredders!

Wow, well done everyone! Yes, I took Wednesday as a rest day as my knee wasn’t happy. Thursday I couldn’t run due to childcare so I shredded. Kudos to those with 3kg weights! Can’t shadow box with my tiny 1.5kg yet Blush Managed to get two runs and a swim in over the weekend though and slowly getting quicker so I’m happy.

bendy forgive me if you’ve tried this but apparently rolling your foot over an iced bottle of water helps. But yes, definitely get your hair analysed and get new trainers. Doesn’t have to be expensive, I had Achilles issues and got trainers from sports direct for £35 that sorted it out. ( Adidas; really hold my ankles securely)

L2 D7 done. I'm rather enjoying plank jacks!

baby I have a similar issue with my cats suddenly becoming interested in my mat and wanting to sit right in the middle of it!

I had two rest days over the weekend. Logged on to report my 4.7km run this morning and realised from all this discussion of planks that I totally forgot my resolve to plank for as long as I can bear once every day. Will plank tonight!

When I started push ups, I could do 1 but was worried my arms would give way on no. 2 and my face would smack into the hard floor. DH suggested putting a cushion under my face to reassure me. It did help.

Hello Shredders!

L1 on Saturday and L2 today done.

I had my 41st birthday party on Saturday and spotted a pair of sparkly shorts. Legs looked good thanks to Jillian and two guests are buying the DVD as a result Grin

As an aside. DD was up and down like a yo-yo last night and I woke up in a state. Thankfully, today is my non-working day but she went to Nanny as Monday my life admin day. I had a long to do list and instead of getting onto the list I went to bed for a quick nap. Woke up several hours later panicking and feeling awfully guilty about having wasted precious time. I have propensity for this (depressive anxious episodes etc) as I'm high energy type and if unoccupied I can spin into anxious spiral.

Instead of ruminating I've done level 2 on purpose as its tricksier parts really take it out of me. I must say it did me a world of good as I perked up and the anxiety shifted. I started on my list too and getting through it slowly. Which is why I love exercise and I love Jillian Grin

Have a good day Shredders!

Just done Day 7 of L1 and starting to get easier. Planning on day off tomorrow as sore muscles around right knee, then will do one more week on level 1 before moving up.

@clearsommespace I know right? Initially I'd have DD on Mondays but as work kicked off in earnest after my return I realised that I needed a day like this. I do it twice a month and it's an absolute bloody life saver. And when I say "personal admin" I actually mean "family admin". For all my feminist ideals I am still the one doing most of it if you get my drift Angry

Ocelot Remember how you felt on Day 2? And now it feels manageable. You're already that much stronger!

I did L3 today ( and last night I held a plank for 1min 15 secs).

L1 D7 (or 8?) done! So much better in the morning than later on after my 3 year old has gone to sleep. My ankles hurt! I do feel loads better already and it's getting far more doable - I can even do most sit ups (sort of).
Well done to everyone else and a big YES for life admin days! My first one today in months and I'm taking the car to the vet. Rock n roll.

Since I'm planning on joining in with Ri30 in September, I thought I'd better get some practice in. So I've just done 30DS L1D1. It didn't seem too bad, so I followed it up with the cardio circuit of 1 Week Shred. Now I feel like I want to die Grin
