@clearsommespace Les Mills is great. I have on demand and I'd highly recommend it. I have a barbell for Bodypump but you don't need anything for combat (which I love) and the Grit workouts are HIIT style and are hardcore!

Having done Les Mills for a while, I definitely felt I was able to keep up with Jillian this time around lol

Brilliant! When do you start? 😁
Our DVD player is still going strong so I do it the old fashioned way.
Just noticed awful spelling mistake below. Blame morning brain. I don't even pronounce the two words the same.

Have just done L4 Ripped. One more day to go!

@CantstandmLMs It's a great feeling when you finish something you didn't manage on a previous attempt, isn't it?

What's Les Mills like?

@Mumma1984 Any look finding it in the right format? I find I get a headache if I run for more than a few km but I do enjoy the changing scenery. I don't get either with JM.

2 more levels of Ripped in 30 to go.
I recently bought some heavier weights and can use them on some of the moves in Ripped so when I have finished I'll try Shred with the heavier weights.

Just wanted to say this thread has inspired me to start shredding again...

I just bought it on amazon. Had the dvd a while ago but can't find it. I'm not a stranger to exercise, I do les mills classes and the gym when I can but have been finding it hard to get to the gym and find the time so this is something I can fit in more reasonably.

Level 1 done tonight (probably last did it 5 years ago but never finished). Not too bad!

Is forgotten about Ripped in 30, will have to dig that out next week.

Ah I've been wanting to try these! I might see if you can get them on an iPad or phone as we don't have a DVD player and it would make it really portable! I have 6 months to lose a stone for my wedding, just been for a run and it was boring as hell!

Hello. They are great workouts aren't they!

The thread has been very quiet recently. As far as I'm concerned that's ok because I have got back into the habit of exercising and I don't need the thread to keep me motivated at the moment.

I am doing Ripped in 30 and have 5 days of L4 to complete. L3 wasn't as bad as I remembered. I will be doing a workout later today.

Joining thread as have gone back to the Shred DVDs over the last 3 months - just 3 times a week but wow! What a difference they've made so far. I've even been able to start doing full push ups and humping lunges! Really enjoy these workouts.

Gosh! 18 months!
Mine is only painful when I balance on it. I'd actually forgotten about the fall.
L1 complete (7 days) and L2 D3 done this morning.

hope your tail bone recovers - i fell on mine about 20 odd years ago and think i must have actually broken it because it was sore for about 18months after when i went on bikes or sat awkwardly!

L1D3 done this morning, still can't do a push up but actually think I'm getting slightly better and I was able to do the advanced version for a few things. def fitter than I was when I did Ripped back in the spring because when she gets to the last butt kicks section and tells you to double the speed I can actually do it where the last time I was normally giving up altogether! Yep, L3 is the worst IMHO.

I've done 5 days of L1. This week I am mixing L1 and L2. So far I've done L2 twice as I fancied a change.
I'll have to adapt one of the ab moves. I don't remember the name but it puts a lot of pressure on your tail bone.
I landed on mine quite hard a few weeks back when I slipped on some wet grass. Apparently it is still sore but fortunately only in that position.

Ripped L1D1 done this morning.

Was feeling quite smug for the first half but that second set of running man was way longer than 30 seconds and that then sent me into the much-tougher 3rd circuit strength moves already feeling it!

think having done 6week6pack and NMTZ since I last did Ripped has made a big difference - although my recollection is that it was level 3 of Ripped that I really struggled with.

Glad you are getting your strength back.
Ripped L1 D4 done this morning.

Nor sure I am any stronger than rhis time last year but I am more supple. I can now bend over and place my hands flat on the floor keeping my legs together and straight. Only just! I can do it in socks, not in trainers Grin

managed to do 4 circuits of BFBM yesterday morning and did five this morning, working up a proper sweat without feeling like I couldn't breathe so must have been a lurgy and I'm getting over it - yay!

glad you had a good weekend Clear, will hopefully join you with Ripped from Friday - although that gives me just 6 weeks before we go away on holiday for xmas and that may be challenging as I'm away with work a couple of times at the end of the month...

Hey there Sturm. That's not so good about your chest and feeling dizzy. There's a lot of bugs on the go just now. Hope you feel better soon.

We've had a busy week in Casa Tutti and the weekend is full on too so I'm planning to start JM30DS again on Monday Smile

hope you have a good weekend clear

how are you getting on tutti?

i'm falling apart - tried to do banish fat, boost metabolism this morning but although leg and back were ok my chest was killing me and i was lightheaded at points. not sure whether i've lost any semblance of fitness or coming down with something! managed to do 20mins and got a proper cool down stretch though so at least that's something...

Goodluck Tutti

Hope you can get back into it properly soon Sturm.
I hope the same for myself too!

I was ill for a few days earlier this month. (The kind of thing where you feel you've achieved something in your day when you sit upright on the sofa for 30 minutes.) So had a week off. Then back into it a few times a week. Today I am going away until Monday and I won't have a chance to exercise.

New start in November! Ripped sounds like a good idea.

Thanks @Sturmundcalm.
Glad to hear the massage has helped your leg and back and I hope those hamstrings don't give you too much bother.
Enjoy Ripped in 30.

good luck!

i managed to hurt both my leg and back ten days ago, had a massage a few days later that helped but feeling a bit wary so still not back at it properly. part of the problem is the cold weather def tightens up my already-tight hamstrings... keep telling myself that I'm going to get my ripped in 30 days DVD back from a friend so that I can finish it before Christmas - that deadline is fast approaching!

Hello everyone.
Fellow JM 30DS fan here. I had a break over the Summer months but I'm keen to get back into it now that the darker nights are here. Hoping to get myself toned up again ready for Christmas party season.
Wish me luck Halloween Smile
