Thought I would start a new thread as we have literally run out of room on the last one Grin

Can you have twins with sperm and eggs from two separate donors? I had no idea! That’s so clever! But then with ivf don’t they often add more in than they think will take on the basis it’s likely it won’t take to give more chance or a successful outcome?

Thermo yes! I feel annoyed that most people put on weight from eating lots of cake and making bad choices whereas I have to work so hard and pre preg every single day was a battle against my hunger and I wasn’t being greedy.

Purpleraindeer · 10/05/2019 18:06

My dh is a meal skipper. He’ll come home from work saying he forgot to eat breakfast and lunch. Shock clearly that has never happened to me. If I skip my 10.30 protein bar I’m grouchy, so I can’t even imagine what would happen if I missed a whole meal!

You dont know how you’ll feel post baby reastie. Just because you put on weight bf last time doesn’t mean you will this time. I felt completely different after my second and was less shell shocked and able to function more normally more quickly. Having an older child and their routine stopped me from doing so much sitting around and eating cake with my friends. I will be very admiring if you can bf and be on an exercise bike - that is amazing multi tasking!

Ha ha at whoever said I was strong. I just found that the benefit of really heavy weights is that the other weights feel light.

I think I might be finished with Shaun t too. For me I think my body can’t handle the impact. I had sore knees, sore feet and was generally very uncomfortable when I did max30 recently.

There is a new 21df on bbod. Obv you have to pay for it, but please let me know what you hear via fb about it. And you’re right Tanias posts sound just like a pyramid scheme. It’s a bit sad that that is what bb is

Reastie · 10/05/2019 18:21

I agree to feel let down by bb and the apparent pyramid set up. Because I love their workouts yet I hate the way they have coaches. I also hate how they advertise their drinks so much, although I guess they must make them a lot of money given how expensive they are. At least Les mills isn’t like that! Pre pg I was doing mainly Les Mills rather than bb workouts.

Purple I’m hoping I’ll be in a routine quicker although won’t be able to drive for weeks and by the time I can drive it’ll be summer holidays. But hopefully that’ll make things easier as we’ll get into some kind of routine before the school year starts. I’ve made a list of places I’m looking forward to go post pg when I don’t feel sick and can actually leave the house so this summer we will be working through the list! I’ve got months to catch up on! But I felt weirdly institutionalised. I’ve barely seen anyone or been sociable with anyone for months so if last time is anything to go by it’s going to take me a few months just to find it normal to do things like go to the supermarket and not feel overwhelmed.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/05/2019 21:58

Just watched a video of shaun T and his twins - very cute. Roman's IVF theory makes sense - how lovely that it worked out if so.

Manic is the perfect description for transform 20. I agree the motivational speeches are going too far now! I am impressed that he actually does quite a lot of the working out in this one though. Purple I used to feel like max 30 was really hard on my body, bit of a shame for you as that was your favourite.

I have done pretty well food wise stuck to my plans today. The shakes arrived and are disgusting - only 10 portions in the pack so def wont be having more than one a day. Really interesting that you all meal plan to some degree.

I agree about BB vs Les Mills Reastie when this year runs out I will probably switch at least for a few months. Interesting about chalean too. will have to google her next!

I love the idea of your post pregnancy to do list Reastie!

Have a lovely weekend all.

PlinkPlink · 12/05/2019 20:41

God yes Reastie

Shakeology in your face. The coaches are constantly drinking them from their Shakeology shakers and showing their new deliveries and different recipes and blah blah blah... we get it. Shakeology is amazing. It's still ridiculously expensive and I'm not buying it 🤣

Haha yum oh no 🙈 shame they taste disgusting
How have you been getting on with your lunch/shake plan?

Roman I did see on Instagram that that was the case with the twins. I'm pretty sure I read it. It sounds monumentally complicated from a surrogacy point of view? But I'm sure that they have mentioned it on Shaun Ts page. They're gorgeous little 'uns.

Purpleraindeer · 13/05/2019 21:08

I got a bee in my bonnet re the bb pyramid selling so googled. I saw a blog on it and it is only the shakeology and the equipment, not the workouts themselves so I felt a bit better.....

Hardcore day for me. I had some unexpected free time today so did a short run in the am and then week5 legs in the pm. I used my new weights. I was a bit worried I wouldn’t get up out of my first squat, but it was ok. I have a feeling my bum and hamstrings are going to be sore tomorrow!

Theromanempire · 13/05/2019 21:17

purple I thought it was the coaching system that is the main pyramid scheme that they do?

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 13/05/2019 21:20

sounds like a pyramid scheme to me

God, all that diamond, ruby and emerald shite reminds me of Forever Living. It's exactly the same 😣

Hopefully about to get back on it and start week 6 😊😊

Reastie · 14/05/2019 07:35

I wish bb woukd just sell their products normally and have them a bit cheaper rather than using coaches and giving them commission. They have good products and selling them like that woukd make me dubious of buying if I didn’t trust them. I’ve only ever bought them from amazon, mostly when the prices went low Grin

34 weeks and I can still stand up from sitting cross legged on the floor using no hands or help. Very proud. I tried yesterday and didn’t think I would be able to. There was a lot of grimacing and groaning but I did It!

Gosh purple that is a super hardcore day!

Purpleraindeer · 14/05/2019 07:53

That really depressed me roman. The earning differential is terrible. All those 10 diamond people (Tania) are making loads whilst everyone at the bottom is making basically nothing and making a tit of themselves on their face book page whilst they’re doing it. I presume shakeology is where the money is made as you have to repeat order so the coach gets a steady income stream. Or those ridiculous ‘challenge packs’ where you buy the workout, a shakeology starter pack and also all the kit.

Theromanempire · 14/05/2019 13:58

Purple yes, it is depressing and totally makes me look at Tania's posts in a negative way - her lifestyle is unachievable for the majority of the coaches yet she sells it as if anyone can have it when she totally benefitted from being BFF's with the face of Beachbody. Really pisses me off! And you can see from the coaching groups on FB that the coaches are clearly given advice on how to present themselves as all the posts are so similar Hmm If the product (i.e. the workouts) were not so damned good, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

To be fair, Team RH is going the same way with 'affiliates' posting progress photos/advice videos/random chats etc with a code for 5% off if you use their specific code when signing up/buying products. And, again, a lot of their posts are really disingenuous and just plain annoying - there is one couple who post together and they have both lost a huge amount of weight and look amazing (which is fantastic) but they constantly post photos saying how bad they look/photos in bikinis saying how insecure they are...which are just blatant attempts for attention and comments stating how amazing they look Hmm There was one post yesterday from the woman saying how she destroyed all her old 'fat' photos but her friend happened to have one on her phone so she posted a side by side comparison...well where did all the other 'fat' photos come from (and there are a lot) that she has posted previously Hmm

Anyway rant over Blush

Reastie well done on the standing up - that is truly amazing at this stage!! I bet that is a product of all the workouts you did before you got pregnant and I bet muscle memory will kick in when you start again and your fitness/muscles will return much quicker than you think.

Doing a 21df week before starting Liift again next Monday - did Upper Fix last night and going to do Plyo Fix and Pilates Fix tonight (going to spring Pilates on DH as a surprise Grin).

My weight has rapidly dropped this week - I maintained the first week of restarting Team RH - but dropped 4lbs seemingly overnight! I did start my period yesterday so I assume that is what has done it but my clothes suddenly fit much better again which is great. I wore a pair of jeans yesterday comfortably which I could barely do up a few weeks ago.

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 15/05/2019 07:39

Reastie you’ve got me wondering whether I can stand up with no hands now. Will try later. I did it a while ago and found it hard so you’re definitely winning being able to do it at 33wks pg!

Well done on the 4lbs roman although I think the jeans doing up must feel more satisfying. Those team RH posts sound annoying and attention seeking. I heard last night that the average female weight in the 1950s was 8.5stone. Shock I guess we’re probably taller now but mostly an awful lot fatter.

Did back/biceps last night. I get the fear doing pull overs. All I can see is the massive weight dangling over my face and I worry I’m going to drop it! Hopefully chest/triceps tonight

PlinkPlink · 15/05/2019 12:01

Well done Reastie. I believe I was mostly rolling off places at that point 😂😂 so that's quite impressive!

Roman I love that feeling when you can do something up that was previously a bit tight! Glorious! Well done on your loss!

Purple I get that fear with skull crushers 😂😂

Well, I started week 6 but yesterday I was totally knackered so I've switched my workout days around. I'm about to do week 6 back and bis whilst DS is having his afternoon nap. I haven't done my knee exercises in a while so this may go terribly wrong (naughty me). If they ache then I'll do my knee exercises tonight but I'll make sure I take it easy with the high impact stuff.
I know he says modify but I find that modifying bit so clunky. You squat and then stand up and do a heel raise... sounds simple enough but I just find it so bloody clunky 😂🙈

Purpleraindeer · 15/05/2019 21:28

Hope your knee is ok plink.
I struggled with tiredness too tonight. I couldn’t face chest/triceps as it was 37min so I opted for a swap to shoulders 29mins. I still really struggled and had to drop down a weight for some. Sad rest day tomorrow thank goodness

PlinkPlink · 15/05/2019 21:47

Thanks Purple
Knee was all good. I substituted the 180 jumps for the awkward squat things.

I like that you can swap them. I love that it's not rigid and set in stone. Tomorrow is another day and I'm sure you'll absolutely smash it when you get to the next workout! Well done for getting it done when you really didnt feel like it 👏👏

yumyumpoppycat · 16/05/2019 16:06

Hi all

Lol at mainly rolling Plink, think I definitely used to fall into that category when pg.

Well done on the whoosh roman Grin

I haven't been exercising this week as had a really heavy fluey cold and am now at the coughy stage. I am thinking I might have another go at hiit from Monday, but it is going to be a busy week at work so a bit iffy. 20 minutes workouts would be better but I think I am going to injure myself trying to do do transform 20!

I definitely get the fear when doing skull crushers Purple. Hope you enjoy your rest day.

I have been doing a lot better with diet since or chats last week, thanks for the support Flowers

Purpleraindeer · 17/05/2019 14:34

You’ve just reminded me of getting up when I was pregnant. I used to roll onto my side like a sausage and then push myself up whilst huffing and puffing. You are doing well reastie!

Glad the eating going well poppy. Definitely don’t exercise when you’re poorly. I think we’ve all learned no good comes of it on this thread.

So I have a massive NSV to report - I did legs week 4 (the all HIIT one) and did all the triple bears unmodified and didn’t stop at all Smile. No idea how I managed that. My legs were burning but once I got to the final set I knew I needed to tough it out so I could come back and tell you on this thread. I love the support we all give each other here. Star

Reastie · 17/05/2019 15:00

Purple you’ve got legs of steel I tell you!

Yumy I hope you feel better soon. Maybe just do a stretch/balance type quick workout if you have to do something?

Plink be careful of that knee, knee injuries can be notorious to recover from so don’t overdo it

20 mins gentle yoga this morning. Definitely at the point of using hands to help me up from the sofa! Fx only 5 weeks left.

Theromanempire · 18/05/2019 21:40

So somebody said something today which has solved my weight dilemma!! Wrist weights Shock don't know why I hadn't thought of it before - I can use them to increase my weights by 1kg per arm and much cheaper (and take up less space) than dumbbells. So obvious!! Going to buy some on Monday ready for starting Liift again Smile

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 19/05/2019 19:58

Wrist weights. That is brilliant!
Great run this weekend. I felt really good. Paid for it today though. I was soooo sore!
Hope you’re all ok

PlinkPlink · 21/05/2019 10:43

Hope you're feeling better yum well done with getting back on the healthy eating!

Purple that is hardcore!! No mods on triple bears!!? Blimmin eck! Amazing NSV!

Thanks Reastie I've been taking it easy. Well done on your yoga.

Wrist weights, that's a genius idea Roman I think I might follow in your footsteps there.

Well not much has happened my end as we went on holiday to Newquay on Friday (it was brilliant but exhausting). I took my workout gear with me but it didn't happen haha. I also ate whatever the hell I fancied because my period arrived on the same day we left so I just wanted to eat everything. And I did.
It was nice to have a bit of a food blowout but I'm back on it now.

I'm a bit disappointed in myself tbh but trying not to let it get to me. I started off so well with this and I lost inches where I wanted to. But slowly I let old habits creep in and ruin my progress. I daren't look at the scales. I think it'd depress me so much and make me feel so awful. I'd rather focus on getting back to it and measure myself after I've done some decent work.

I'm going to finish the last couple of weeks and then do another round with complete commitment.

Theromanempire · 21/05/2019 21:43

plink I totally understand how you feel - that was me at the end of 'blow out April' Sad but realistically you know it will just be a couple of pounds and it will drop off easily now you are back in your routine Smile

So did chest and triceps today with my wrist weights for most of the exercises...I can already tell that my arms are going to ache tomorrow. Struggling to move them already and it's only been a couple of hours Confused but am hoping the extra weights will aid Operation Holiday Skirt Wink
