Ah that's great news your back to normal purple - well done on your workouts.

Reastie she had a runner and they were attached at the wrists with a black strap. I had assumed she would have been training with her guide but their timetables didn't often mean this could happen so she would put messages on the local running boards for someone to train with her. Purple she did enjoy it but I think she found the whole thing very emotional and hit the wall earlier than she expected. Very respectable time though. She isn't going to do another because if all the time involved but wants to work on her times for shorter runs.

Reastie you look lovely!! And you are making me properly broody (stop that 😂😂). Your legs dont look huge at all, I'd say you've got lovely slender legs. I could pat your bump all day long 🤩 how are you feeling these days?

Purple sounds like a lovely run. Has your cough gone? Maybe the last bits of that are lingering and making you feel a bit weak?

Roman I know they say weekends of gluttony aren't good but I think they are very good for the soul. It's nice to just take a break from being strict, have all the chocolate and all the wine 😂. Don't get back on the scales, you don't need to. What's important is you enjoyed yourself and you're already back into your routine 😊 I haven't tried any CDF... are they any good?

I couldn't get into that yum 🙈🙈 I've watched the first episode 3 times and I couldn't get into it 😂😂 my ex used to watch it so I got snippets (I am tempted to attempt a 4th go because of certain characters who clearly kick ass).

I've been binging on Call The Midwife, The Good Place and Bonding. Very odd mix 😂😂

Sometimes workouts need to give way for a bit of me-time. Or in your case, a bit of khaleesi-time 😂😂

lol khalessi time Grin It seems to be a real marmite programme. I used to LOVE call the midwife then just stopped watching it, I quite like the good place but have only seen 2 or 3. There seems to be too much popular tv to watch everything! I really want a treadmill for the front room so I can work out and watch at the same but dp refuses. pft.

I binged all three seasons if the Good Place in about 4 days 🙈 it was so good but I ended up having weird/uncomfortable dream that had Ted Danson in it 😂😂 he is awesome in it.
That's a brilliant idea! Watch your TV shows whilst you workout? Yaaas! 😂😂

Just finished Week 5 Legs... err... how ridiculously difficult is it to get up the stairs after that workout? 😖

Plink - I never got as far as week 5 well done Star lol re ted danson dreams. You weren't pregnant were you? I had all my weirdest dreams when pg.

Did transform 20 fast workout - I found week 1 'fast' hard so did week 2 without the step and it was still manic! The modifier has the same colouring as me and she was beetroot. The cast in general were struggling which is impressive in 20 minutes, but there was too much leaping around for my liking!

Yeah it was a Ted Danson sex dream. Well weird. Made me look at him v differently 🤣 no grisly bits mind, my dreams are very PG apparently and all I saw was us getting out of bed together 🤣🤣

Oh God you're brave 🙈🙈well done on doing Week 1! I do miss ShaunT but my knees do not. Everything he does involves jumping 😖 not good unless you have amazingly youthful and well adjusted joints. Are you going to carry on with it?

Transform 20 sounds good if the cast struggle in 20mins. It’s on my list - good to know I could do it with no step.

Hope your legs were ok today plink. I’m going to be in the same position as you tomorrow after week 3 tri/chest. It had the most stupidly hard HIIT with 60s of 180 squat jumps. My legs were burning after 1 round so I was half dead after 3. Abs moves were hard too. I am worried about getting out of bed tomorrow Shock

I might watch the good place now you’ve all recommended it. I don’t want the ted danson dreams though Grin

Knee has been a bit crumbly but other than that just the usual soreness 🤣🤣 oh God yeah those 180 squat jumps 🙈🙈 it's the sumo squat jumps I cant hack... bum burn & thigh burn all in one. Eesh!

It's really good! I love Kristen Bell anyway (Veronica Mars was great when it came out) but this is very cleverly done. Loads of ethics thrown into it.

Just wanted to say that I love the Good Place too...I binge watched 3 series a while ago! Have to say that it did start to get a bit like Lost though with a great premise and first couple of series and then starts to get very complicated and my simple brain cannot cope with it Confused

Speaking of Ted Danson, I had one of those weird moments that I mentioned below last week with Steve Guttenberg (and if you don't know the connection between the 2, then you are obviously not 80's girls Wink). He literally popped into my mind one day last week and I wondered what he was up to...low and behold, was watching one of my regular TV shows that night and he was in it as a one off cameo Shock. I freak myself out sometimes Confused

Back to fitness chat, weight damage of April was about 6lbs Blush

Part of your 6lbs must be water so it will shift faster than you think.
I am moving today but I feel very tired. Weights really make me tired. I remember this from my last go of liift. I could have dozed off on my way in to work this am!

Haha Roman my OH got home from work whilst I was watching it one night. I went to go and brush my teeth. When I came back he said "I have no idea what's going on here. Its spinning me out" 🤣🤣🙈🙈 I did explain you have to watch it from the beginning.

I do remember 3men and a baby 😂😂 more so the second one.

Agree with Purple that your 6lbs must be a fair bit of water. Or could even be hormonal. Have you weighed yourself at the same time of day?

Sleepy Purple 😂😂 nice bit of green tea maybe? Or some carbs to perk you up a bit? I have to say it does feel more draining than other cardio orientated workouts. Gives me proper hunger.

As a side note, I am struggling to not eat whole bars of chocolate (I mean the 200g ones) at the moment. Last night, OH and I shared a slice of cheese on toast as I was peckish so that was a better choice.

Tom Selleck was really the hottest one out of all 3 though!! Even in Friends when he was a bit older, still so so dreamy...and I usually don't like men with moustaches!

purple yes, Liift does seen to make you tired. Me and DH have commented about how more tired we are when following the programme - nightmare when you have to function in real life at the same time Confused

plink Yes, I have a routine of weighing myself naked as soon as I wake up before I eat or drink anything. I'm only 2 days in and the Team RH philosophy is about the weekly average so I really need to see on Sunday where I'm at.

Did the short CDF workout followed by Pilates fix last night which was a good combination although listening to DH huff and puff throughout Pilates was annoying - he hates that workout 'because it hurts' which I keep reminding him it is a sign it's working!

Ah yes Roman I'd forgotten you mentioned your naked weighing 🤣 bow was it on Sunday?

I'm currently taking a mini break in between week 5 and 6. Feeling so bloody tired at the moment, my eyes are hurting because of my contact lenses (sorting it out with some trials from optician), my left knee is playing up and I just feel sodding awful. I'm hoping it will pass soon. I dont want to go another night without working out but I'm listening to my body. Need to rest for a bit.

Very sensible plink. When I started to come down with my cough I just carried on doing liift as I thought it would be ok for me as there wasn’t much cardio in it. What an idiot. I’m sure the fact that I didn’t rest meant I ended up being ill for longer and overall I lost much more fitness as a result because I then ended up having about 4wks off.

I’m feeling pleased. I did my 10miler (very slowly!) on Friday so I’m finally back up at my normal distance again. I was a bit sore today but not too bad. Did shoulders wk3 this am. And very excitingly I bit the bullet and bought some new weights which are arriving this afternoon. They’re 12.5kg dumbbells. Shock I think I’m going to get a horrible shock when I try them for legs wk4 tomorrow.

I’m trying to get into Game of Thrones. I’m now on episode 4 season 1. I’m really struggling. Does it get better? I have to be honest I just get really confused but allmthe different characters and who comes from where etc.

Have given up on the bike. It just makes me feel too sick every time. I can still stand up from cross legged on the floor without using anything to help me up, but am increasingly wobbly doing it! Did a few leg lifts this morning lying on my side. I find they’re good position for leg exercises and do two rounds of about 5 different moves. Better than nothing anyway. Snuck in a few squats and can still do proper deep squats too. 33 weeks on Monday! Sicky day today though and most days spent enforced sofa sitting to help the nausea. All I can think is every tiny little bit of yoga and leg lifts etc helps but think I’ll have several months of just finding walking exhausting whilst I build back stamina.

Purple 12.5 kg dumbbells? Good grief woman! I think when I did pump I was lifting that weight on each side with squats but it didn’t feel so bad as the weight was on my shoulders on the barbell iykwim.

Plink be careful with that knee, you don’t want to aggravate it as ime knees can be a pita to recover once gone.

33 weeks reastie - that’s fab. I’m sure it doesn’t feel like this for you, but 7wks is really not that long (although maybe it is less as I think you said you were having a section?).

I’m fuming Angry. My weights were supposed to be delivered yesterday. Dh was home all afternoon and I got a text from yodel saying they’d been delivered and signed for, but no card and no weights. Neighbours don’t have them and yodel not answering calls until Tuesday. So bloody irritating! Anyway. Did legs wk3 today. Should have had a heavier weight for calves and deadlift but despite that was half dead at the end so maybe I’ve been saved from myself. I’m feeling v achy and tired now which must be good?!

Purple how annoying. I find yodel one of the worst delivery people from personal experience. And they often just dump parcels and not even bother ringing the bell when they should get a signature. Maybe the box was so heavy they couldn’t lift it out of the van Grin . Fx it comes today.

Thought I’d do 20 minute pg Pilates this morning. Thought I could manage it and it would be ok. It was not ok. I give up, I’m broken, every single exercise apart from gentle stretching makes me so sick

Reastie it's horrible that you cant exercise [sad ] maybe your body is balancing the scales for all the other stressors its under? I tried some pregnancy pilates at one point and it was really bloody hard! Maybe stick with a few reps of light weights if you found that more bearable? What about doing some kind of meditation - I did an embarrassing hypno birth cd which usually involved me falling asleep but still I quite liked it as felt like I was getting myself ready.

Purple that is really annoying about your weights - have they arrived yet?

Dp and I have had a weekend away which was really lovely, sort of belated honeymoon. Nowhere exciting but still a nice break.

Reastie you are so close to the finish line now so take it easy on yourself and if your body wants you to rest, then just rest! Pilates is not an easy workout so don't be too hard on yourself that you struggled Smile

Yum so Envy about your weekend away. Me and DH haven't had more than a night away together since DS1 was born 13 years ago (and there has probably only been 2 of those!) We have kind of got used to it now and wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if the opportunity arose to have a weekend away Grin

Finished the weekend in style with a Liift arms circuit workout on Saturday, a 80DO Legs workout on Sunday and then 21Df Cardio Core Remix yesterday (which is rapidly becoming one of my favourite cardio workouts)! 2 weeks of freestyling before we start round 4 of Liift. I am trying to convince myself that it is a worthwhile investment to buy some 6kg dumbbells as we have 5kg and then 7.5kg and the gap is just too much for some exercises. I know I can lift heavier than 5kg but not by 2.5kg! However, I know if I mention it to DH, he will start moaning about needing heavier ones too and before you know it, the £££ has increased by about 200% Hmm

No movement on the weight front Sad but I wasn't completely strict last week which I am really frustrated with myself for. I have got my head back in the game hopefully and have 10 weeks to go (however, in the back of my mind, I know that I am only losing weight that I will end up putting back on again whilst on holiday so will ultimately end up exactly where I am now Sad)

Oh Reastie you poor thing. Every little thing you are doing really really helps. You are doing amazingly, even if it doesn't feel like it. You are growing a tiny human!!! No wonder you're nauseous! Think about all the amazing stuff your body is doing right now! Keep doing what you can. Your best is all anyone could ever ask for.

Purple God 4 weeks 🙈 it's weird isn't it? Youd think Liift4 would be relatively gentle on your body but it's really not 🙈 how annoying with the weights!!! Yodel are shocking. As are Hermes. Useless. Half of them never leave a number to re-arrange 🙄

No, not really. I'm not doing very well. I feel like I've fallen off the sugar wagon 🙈🙈 I've had to ask OH not buy me anymore chocolate (he often grabs me one on the way home - one of the many reasons I love him). I dont know how it happened. One minute I was enjoying a few pieces a day, the next I'm hogging half a bar in one go!! What has happened?! Workouts gone out the window this past week for my knee. Just being careful there. But I feel shite. I feel like I've totally lost my motivation for it all.l

I might start writing in my 5 minute journal again. That seemed to really focus my mind on my goals and seemed to make it easier to achieve them.
