Thought I would start a new thread as we have literally run out of room on the last one Grin

Boobz welcome back 😊 so so spooky as I was literally thinking about you on Saturday and wondering how you were getting on Shock although I do find that happens to me quite a lot maybe I'm psychic Grin sorry about your mum Flowers (I am one of the old-timers but have name changed).

I have watched a couple of the T20 workouts and they are definitely not for me! Shaun T actually irritates me now so not keen.

Did a week of 21df workouts last week and am surprised that my cardio fitness levels are much higher...was able to do more than I can remember Smile however, me and DH are really missing the strength stuff as 21df isn't great at that so I am going to mix up 21df with the circuit workouts from Liift4 for a few weeks until we start another round of L4 to lead up to our holiday. Aiming for 5 workouts a week but that might be a bit ambitious with other commitments.

Weight-wise, hit my lowest weight last week but the next 3 weeks are going to be a nightmare so aiming to maintain and then get going again in May to shift some more weight must fit in my gorgeous holiday skirt!

I've scared you all off Grin

Just done Liift4 chest/back...I have totally missed the muscle burn and loved it!!

yumyumpoppycat · 10/04/2019 23:07

roman have you fitted in to all the old too small skirts now?! Who needs scales - I am imagining a really gorgeous summer skirt Grin

Reastie I am glad this pregnancy has been a little easier at least. Sorry you have had a cold to boot though - I remember any illnesses or colds seemed to be much worse when I was pg, which is really helpful!

I have been crap and not exercised - been some stuff going on at work, but that's not a great excuse tbf. Hopefully will do something tomorrow.

Theromanempire · 11/04/2019 07:04

yum no, not in the skirts yet. I am in all my old size 16's that haven't fitted for years but I have bought a couple of size 14's that are too tight so they are my aim for my holiday in July.

I have DOMS in my chest..Love that feeling and can always rely on Joel to provide it!

Hello all - I’m back!
I’m finally feeling better again (only took 4 weeks Shock) and I’ve had a fab holiday too. It was an all inclusive place, and it was very difficult to just maintain my normal eating. After a couple of days I found I really did NEED a 4pm snack, a 6pm canapé and also a 3 course dinner.....Blush
Anyway, we got back this afternoon and I did a workout to get me back in the swing of things. I’m restarting liift, so was chest and tris. Surprisingly my strength was ok, but the HIIT was a shock. Anyway, glad the first one is done.

Boobz - lovely to hear from you. I hope you restart posting on here, i bet you’ll be back to fitness in no time. I’m really sorry to hear about your mum

Reastie - I had an elective section and it was really easy and recovery was fine so don’t let that worry you. 28 weeks? That’s great.

Poppy - are you managing to fit the workouts in? It is hard when there are lots of other things going on too - i hope your work stuff is getting better.

And fab news on the skirts roman and your all time low weight! I had good intentions of starting some healthy eating on return from hols, I’m not going to be too strict for now. Unless I get a fright when I step on the scales tomorrow

swimmingdory · 15/04/2019 07:19

Very new to exercise.... started 21 day fix (not the food side) today. Cross country skiers nearly killed me, as did the frogs abs things... but I've done day 1 Grin

Purpleraindeer · 15/04/2019 07:43

Hi swimmingdory - well done for getting started. The first week is the toughest as your body gets used to it. You will feel a big difference in 21 days so it is really worth it.

swimmingdory · 15/04/2019 13:20

Thanks @Purpleraindeer I hope so! Just need to keep myself on it!

Reastie · 16/04/2019 18:13

Purple how long before you were exercising after your csection? Glad you’re feeling better.

30 weeks now and close t giving up on exercise. Every single time I try and do even super gentle stuff I have an awful nausea day, it’s like my body is rejecting exercise. I’ve spent months trying to hard to push myself into still doing some kind of activity but it makes me feel so awful. I’m going to try maybe just yoga and see how that goes. I don’t want to give up on it but it makes such a difference in how bad I feel I don’t feel I have much of an option. My aim is to be 50lbs up at the end of pg, which I know is a massive gain and more than I should (and I moght not even manage that) BUT I estimate I put on over 65 lbs with dd so if I can manage it that would be a good improvement.

Swimming good luck with 28df.

Thermo brill news.

Purpleraindeer · 17/04/2019 19:10

Reastie it’s easy for me to say, but at 30wks not many people are exercising anyway so perhaps just dial it down to yoga and see if that is better? If it makes you feel nauseous there doesn’t seem to be much benefit in it and you’re eating healthily anyway.

I started t25 8 wks post section and it was fine. Well, knackering as I was fat and unfit but no c section related issues. I was v careful in the first 2wks though which helped I think.

I’ve done wk 1 Legs tonight and back/biceps on Monday. I’m feeling the liift tiredness now! It is good to be back on it though. I remembered how much I dislike triple bears too. Smile

Purpleraindeer · 19/04/2019 12:56

Got out for a run today for the first time in 5 weeks! The last time I was running it was freezing and I had 2 tops on. Was warm today. Lovely. I was very slow but it was good to get out. My cough has come back though. It is not fair Angry

Have a lovely Easter everyone

Reastie · 19/04/2019 17:48

Thanks purple. Glad you got a run in, you’ll soon be back to normal speed and minus the coughing.

No workouts this week. Gentle walking past couple of days for tiny tiny walk. Am going to do yoga on Monday. Just tried my fitness test which is can I stand up from sitting cross legged on the floor without using my hands and with the strength of my legs to get me up. Saw on a bbc docu last year this is a good test of fitness as people get older and figure this is a good pg gauge. Good news is I managed to stand up with no help and visually it looked relatively decent but internally I felt wobbly and my back hurt . But I did it so that’s reassuring.

Amazing weather here today!

A Fb friend of mine (don’t know her very well, we were childhood friends) has recently started up her own personal training business and selling weird supplements with crazy claims. She’s gone from not being an active person at all to constantly spamming my Fb wall with posts about fitness and I can’t help but feel a bit Hmm . I can’t believe how many pictures of before and after she has from people that have supposedly had their lives changed by these weird nutrition/herbal pills. The amount of claims about how many health issues they have cured is scary. I trust none of it and am seriously dubious and surprised she’s been caught up in it. Maybe she believes it. Maybe she just thinks she can make decent money selling it (which I presume she does, but obv no prices or info other than supposed stories of people who have had their lives changed by it and making comments about messaging her for details). People must buy this stuff and think it will cure everything. I’m surprised it’s legal.

Purpleraindeer · 22/04/2019 17:51

Hi all - hope you’ve all enjoyed the sunshine. No exercise for me this weekend (except some gentle walks) as my run really aggravated my cough. Hopefully will be better tomorrow but thought better safe than sorry.

Your fb friend sounds like she’s in a pyramid scheme reastie - like the younique products. I read a really great blog by someone who was in one and got out. It rammed home how horribly exploitative it all is.

yumyumpoppycat · 22/04/2019 18:35

Hello! Yes loving the sunshine here!

well done on day 1 swimdory.

Purple that is really annoying about your cough - I hope you feel better again soon.

Reastie that is fantastic about the getting up without hands - I am not sure I can do that even minus a bump Blush I always used to struggle with stand up sit down on 22 HC.

Roman I need to channel your skirt challenges as I have just packed away at least a suitcase worth possibly 2 of stuff that is all too small. size 10, 12 and 14 stuff basically.

So I haven't done much exercise recently been so tired again (although D3 officially worked for my periods as I have had 3 in a row at approx. 25 day intervals), but we did a massive spring clean which took about 3 days so I feel that counts for something!

Week 1 day 1 of the new shaun T done today.

Hope you are OK plink?

Theromanempire · 22/04/2019 20:52

This thread dropped off my threads I posted on...I am rubbish!

Been a lovely weekend...too much wine, chocolate and very little exercise. Too scared to get on the scales atm Blush Got another weekend of eating and drinking next weekend so am going to watch my food and make sure I exercise for the next few days then next Monday, it's full steam ahead for shifting at least a stone before my holidays!

We did Pyramid this afternoon which I had forgotten how much I loved and also how quick it goes! Was over in a flash. Am still mixing it up for the next few weeks until we are going to start Liift again so this week, we did a couple of Liift circuits, Barre Legs and one of the 50 min CDF workouts.

reastie I'm impressed that you can get up from sitting without hands. Not sure I can do that without being heavily pregnant Grin

yum I have a drawer of stuff that I put away as I got bigger. I'm slowly fitting into it all again but then bagging it up for charity as I don't like it anymore Confused

purple really hope your cough sorts itself out soon...so frustrating for you.

Also, looking in the mirror today and I can just see a tiny line of definition down each side of my stomach Smile nobody else would notice and it's a million miles away from a 6 pack but still made me smile!

Purpleraindeer · 23/04/2019 21:26

What was the new Shaun t like poppy? Sorry to hear you’re not back to yourself yet. Did the doc say how long it might be?

Yay for the ab definition roman. Fab! I bet that is super motivational. You’ve always liked pyramid. I really don’t like that one at all.

I agree re standing up with no hands whilst pregnant. I could barely lift myself up from a chair even pushing with both hands!

Did week 2 triceps today. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t aggravate my cough. Those quad sets felt bloody hard today

yumyumpoppycat · 24/04/2019 19:08

Purple well done on triceps - fingers crossed it doesn't affect your cough too much. I think my tiredness could be partly day to day work stuff, not eating very healthily etc making me feel a bit bleh and low energy.

Did another shaun t - I love that it is only 20 minutes, and it is really good for getting a sweat quite quickly. I think I might get bored after a while if the workouts are quite samey. Les mills step workouts are probably a bit more fun.

Roman really fab you're getting the results. I did think when I was packing up clothes that I probably should donate them but I am such a yo yoer with weight I probably need to keep them.

Reastie · 24/04/2019 19:18

Yes, I remember with dd having to push myself up from the sofa with my hands or I couldn’t get up! Haven’t quite got there yet but sure it’ll be here soon enough! Pretty much given up on physical activity now and touchwood it is making a difference to nausea. Did a few stretches this morning figuring at least taking some time to do something a few times a week will help keep the routine in place.

Purple I hope the cough goes soon, so annoying how the can hang around.

Yummy I enjoy Les mills step but I find even that quite repetitive and dull at times. My step class I used to go to was quite routine focused. Is Shaun t even more repetitive?

Reastie · 24/04/2019 19:25

Look at how much chunkier my legs are now

Beachbody Thread 6 (Insanity, T25, 21 Day Fix, 80 Day Obsession etc)
yumyumpoppycat · 24/04/2019 19:27

Reastie I have only done a few, but so far a smidge repetitive and the music isn't as good! Makes sense to not push yourself to exercise if it's making you feel worse.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/04/2019 19:32

Reastie I love those progression pics you look fabulous throughout and your legs do not look big at all!

Purpleraindeer · 26/04/2019 14:29

I don’t think your legs look big either reastie. I don’t think you look big at all for 30wks. When I had my second I was massive really quickly and then didn’t grow much more from about 25wks so when I was full term I was actually quite small. Maybe the same is happening to you?

Did shoulders wk2 on weds then run today. Was strangely weak on weds and had to go down a weight and even then I struggled. Run was good today but I’m feeling it now. Has been 5wks since I did a 10mile plus run so 8miles today was enough. My legs are really stiff now. Bluebells were lovely so it was good to get out there

yumyumpoppycat · 28/04/2019 17:50

Well done on your 8 mile run purple. What do you think is causing the weakness - is it still being a bit run down? Do you think it would be worth going to GP to get bloods checked out?

I have just been to watch my sil who is blind run the London marathon! really inspiring.

Reastie · 28/04/2019 18:02

Thank you, you’re very kind but irl it’s very obvious. My double chin is getting quite epic now as are my wobbly arms and despite having a big tummy it’s still very squishy and wobbly rather than firm!

Yumy wow to sil. Did she run it with a dog or a person to lead her round. I love watching the marathon on tv and am always amazed by how much the professional atheletes kick their legs back in a kind of circle like running a bike. That’s what they always say is wrong with my running technique, my legs don’t kick back enough.

Purple you’ll get there, it just takes time to recover from things.

No exercise bar a couple of very gentle yoga sessions last week. It really does seem to be making a difference to nausea though so I’m trying to suck it up.

Purpleraindeer · 28/04/2019 18:22

Congrats to your SIL poppy - did she enjoy it? I love the marathon. My DH laughs at me watching it as it is just a lot of people running but I watch it on TV every year and used to go and support when I lived in London.

I’m feeling a lot better now - I think I was just run down and still a bit ill. Did back and bi’s yesterday and then the dreaded HIIT only legs week 2 today. Holy crap. That was hard work. Rest day tomorrow. Am hoping I’m back to normal now. Plan to get run back up to 10miles next week so that will be the test I guess.

Hope you’ve all had good weekends.

Plink - I hope you’re ok. You’ve not posted in ages
