Ahh that's a shame re obsession (never heard of that one so will need to google) Roman but hifives to you and your dh for being so hardcore you didn't find it difficult Grin

Down another tiny bit on scale and speed hammer done today - workout 4 I think and 40 days until Christmas so 30 workouts still doable!

Not doing very excellently as no veg at lunch but had some leaves with my b/f egg and toast and veg stirfry for dinner.

Theromanempire · 15/11/2017 05:44

yum I'll join you on your 30 workouts before Christmas plan...need to try and be a bit more consistent with them. I'll start today and log them on here Smile

Purpleraindeer · 15/11/2017 06:30

Those naked bars are yum but basically all sugar. When I worked that out I realised I’d rather just have chocolate and be done with it! I eat nature valley protein bars. They prob still have some added sugar but are really filling and not too sweet

Max out sweat last night for me. I like to think I would have got through it without maxing but the secret site stopped streaming with 2mins to go so I had to stop and sort that out... I’ll be honest - the break was timely as I was pretty knackered! It was amazing what a difference doing it just after a rest day was. When I did it last week it was horrific, but rested this week it was ok.

Purpleraindeer · 15/11/2017 06:31

Argh massive cross post - I’ll read back now!

Reastie · 15/11/2017 14:27

Purple I hate it when the secret site freezes, so annoying! But at least you were nearly at the end and in need of a rest .

Thermo I love how you are too hardcore for it! Is this the one with a different workout for every day for 80 days? If so I wonder if they start easy on purpose to lure you into a false sense of security to encourage those returning to fitness and after a few weeks are proper hard core.

I'm annoyed. I logged in this morning at 6:45 to book next weeks Ba class at the gym. That's 15 minutes after they go online. IT WAS ALREADY BOOKED UP! . BA this morning though. Loved it! Hoping for a quick hiit or mini run in the morning as quite busy so it's all I have time for.

Purpleraindeer · 15/11/2017 20:21

That’s really disappointing re the 80 day workout roman. I’ll try the first 2 work outs for sure. Autumn isn’t that good at cardio anyway so I wasn’t holding out much hope for her cardio one. It must have made you feel great that you cruised through it Star. The actual workouts when they’re released might be better - my issue is that they’re 45mins plus and I find that too difficult to plan in so was hoping for more short sharp 30min ones.

Shame about body attack reastie. It must be the hottest ticket in town. Like a fitness Glastonbury!

Tabata Power again for me tonight. Phew. I really needed a workout after a lot of driving, stress and rushing around at work. I feel like a new woman now.

yumyumpoppycat · 15/11/2017 22:34

Fantastic Roman - we can keep each other on track!

I did a bit of a skip through workout today to fit it in before work as it was an autumn long one (clearly she has form for this!) - and actually I wasn't planning to count it as missed so much out but I have a fair amount of thigh ache due to the curtsey lunges so feel like I can count it after-all. W/O 5.

Purple I think when I have a day like yours I would use it as a reason not to exercise so well done and brilliant that the workout restored you!

Reastie that is such a shame about BA - but so great you are doing more of the exercise you love after last year and injuries. I am annoyed for you though!

Theromanempire · 16/11/2017 17:54

Oh how I am laughing at you all thinking that me and DH are too hardcore for Autumn's new workouts Grin If you could see how overweight we both are us, you would realise how hilarious that is Grin Grin

Yum which Autumn workout was it that you did as the only ones I have come across of hers are only 30 minutes (ish).

Reastie your postings about the booking issues at the gym brings back bad memories! one of the reasons why I left the gym was that booking on classes became so ridiculous that involved getting up at stupid o'clock just to get on a class the week after Hmm

Workout 1 out of 30 done last night - Upper Focus. Planning on doing the 12-round Core De Force tonight but I have got that horrible body aching which usually precedes some illness and I am so tired Sad Not sure I can do it but I promised DH Confused

Purpleraindeer · 17/11/2017 14:34

Did you manage corps de force roman? No point in working out if you feel poorly - it only makes it worse.

I had a rest day yesterday and did cardio fix extreme this am. I really dislike squat cleans and that awful jumping jack squat with weights. There are a few autumn exercises which I find really hard. I was thinking whilst I was working out I should list them and put them together into some sort of masochistic super hard workout. It would be squat cleans, supine crawl, jacks with weights and sit up v/bicycle crunches - I reckon I’d last about 5mins!

Purpleraindeer · 18/11/2017 18:35

Roman - I’m sorry i have to disagree with you - ALO is actually a LOT disappointing. I did AAA today and it was a bit rubbish. I modified as I didn’t have bands or sliders which probably didn’t help but I found the cast and their in jokes annoying and the exercises themselves not particularly interesting. I was a bit bored by about 10mins in Sad

Theromanempire · 18/11/2017 19:32

Oh purple sorry I misled you Grin do me a favour and try Cardio Core because I would be interested in your take on that aswell. I used paper plates as sliders (thanks for the suggestion Smile) and the T25 as a band.

Will still try 80 day obsession - maybe the in jokes won't be so annoying as you will be part of the team from the beginning (if that makes sense?)

Rubbish rubbish so far with workouts. Not exercised since Wednesday (sorry yumy Blush) due to tiredness/child sickness etc.

Hope you are all doing better than me! That winter skirt isn't going to fit this side of Christmas Sad Sad

yumyumpoppycat · 19/11/2017 18:06

I haven't exercised either Roman the mice are back so having to spend more money on another company. It really puts me off crawling round the floor etc. Probably being irrational. Still doable on the 30 workouts though!

Ouch Purple, no fear I will be trying the killer workout you devise. (I quite like cleans but clean jerk lunges in a hammer workout really hurt my back so I can't do them very heavy anyway).

Hope you are ok Reastie - have you seen the sylvanian Christmas sled - so cute? If that goes on offer I will be buying it for dd2 myself!

Theromanempire · 19/11/2017 22:21

yum I'm not so sure...Christmas is 35 days away and I need to fit in 29 workouts Confused doesn't give me much wriggle room.

yumyumpoppycat · 20/11/2017 15:55

Only 35 days! That sounds much less than 5 weeks I had in my head. Hmmm maybe any workouts accomplished over the Christmas holiday can also count, think I might need it too.

Theromanempire · 20/11/2017 19:04

So I have done ALO Cardio Core again today (mainly because me and DH were feeling lazy so we compromised on an 'easy' workout). Was maybe better than the first time - definitely good for those type of days Grin

Anyway, 2/30 done with 34 days to go.

I am planning on doing Ript Up and then a Clubbercise class tomorrow so does that count as 2??

Purpleraindeer · 21/11/2017 21:03

How is the workout challenge going? Did you do your double roman? 28 workouts in 34 days is a tough ask. Star I’m impressed!

Did Friday fight on Sunday, rest day yesterday then abc extreme today. I do like that one. It is a brilliant strength workout. I’ll do ALO cardio core to give it a try tomorrow.

Hope you’re all well

Theromanempire · 21/11/2017 21:24

Yep just back from Clubbercise so managed a double workout so 4/30 (I'm counting it as double Grin) with 33 days to go...

I love ABC Extreme too - don't do it as much as I would like as I always seem to end up skipping it on my schedule! Let me know what you think of Cardio Core Smile

Reastie · 22/11/2017 18:55

Thermo that is great work on the double . I like the sound of clubbercise. I'm imagining a workout class of lots of big box little box hand movements and crazy lights! You'll get in that skirt.

Yumy I haven't seen the sylvanian sled we have too much sylvanian stuff but I may have to get it . I'd be the same as you with crawling on a mouse floor, eek!

BA this morning. Loved it as ever. Did core yesterday (made up own one up based on 21df but made it up so i could watch tv at the same time). Thinking of sneaking in a mini sneaky swim tomorrow if I get time.

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 22/11/2017 20:51

Have you sorted your mouse problem yet poppy? I may have said this before but in one place I lived I used to come across them dashing across the living room floor. We adopted a live and let live policy until one day I found one in the cutlery drawer Shock and we got rentokil in!

So I did ALO cardio core today and I can confirm that roman is properly fit. I did do the moves at a faster pace as you had said it wasn’t particularly challenging and by the end I felt I’d worked pretty hard. The ab exercises used the bands a lot and I don’t have a band so they were prob too easy. I dont have sliders and just stepped instead and I think that was an ok substitute. I found it a bit repetitive though - all the skipping moves were basically the same which felt pointless. Also they weren’t working nearly hard enough on the dvd. It was definitely not the same intensity of 21dfx no matter how much bigging it up autumn does at the start.

yumyumpoppycat · 23/11/2017 10:06

No Purple mice still in action and have no invaded my exercise room (the front room). Weeps. and new company in have a whole process which sounds like at least 2 - 3 weeks before holes are blocked in. I am really phobic and have to deal with the clearing out of cupboards etc as dp can't see the little buggers! Maybe I will have to take up running!

Roman fantastic on your double - you have to do this challenge as there is no way I will at the moment!

Theromanempire · 23/11/2017 12:26

Yum god the mouse problem sounds awful Sad and how rude of them to invade your exercise space!

Reastie yes Clubbercise is fab - you need to find a class and try it. You get 2 glow sticks to wave about, the whole class is done in darkness and you basically do aerobics to fab 90's tunes! It isn't the hardest workout in the world but it is bloody fun Smile

Purple oh how I am laughing about how fit you think I am as I am really really not! I just think the 'HIIT intervals' in Cardio Core actually aren't that high-intensity Hmm

Rest day yesterday - wasn't supposed to be but I was tired after work and then DH made me feel bad by deciding to exercise and I felt like a right lazy bum sat on the sofa watching him Blush so I do need to do Flat Abs Fix tonight to remain on target.

Purpleraindeer · 23/11/2017 20:53

Running might solve a few problems poppy - good for fitness and also gets you out of the mouse house....

Roman you’re v lucky that you and your DH workout together - must be v motivating for both of you and great to keep you on track. I would love my DH to give the dvds a try. If only so he could see how hard they are Grin

Tabata strength tonight. Haven’t done this one for ages. All the press ups have made my arms go all floppy and my abs actually hurt from the effort of chopping veg tonight! It must have done something

Theromanempire · 23/11/2017 21:35

purple love that feeling when your muscles hurt..sign of a good workout Grin

Flat Abs Fix done tonight so 5/30 done and I have lost count of how many days are left!

Reastie · 24/11/2017 06:34

Thermo have you spotted on the secret site there's tony hortons new workouts called double trouble designed for two people to complete together? Might be good to try with your dh. Thought I might try to get dd to do it with me over the Christmas holidays.

Also spott d bodystep on the secret site. I've done step aerobics but not bodystep so I'm looking forward to trying it next week.

I'm thinking about cancelling my gym membership. I love my BA class so much but I can't get on it every week and that and a swim sometimes in term time just is too expensive to warrant :(

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 25/11/2017 13:28

reastie I have had a look at those workouts but they seem to require a medicine ball which we don't have Hmm plus I'm not a big Tony fan!

Ript Circuit done this morning so 6/30 with 29 days left Confused
