I come with feedback from the BA class. Different instructor and much smaller class. Still got front row spot Grin. Happy to report I got an actual high five! Was from the instructor though! There were a few woops etc during the class from one very excitable older lady (love it!). At the end of the last track she got everyone in a tight circle to do fast jogging on the spot and somehow I ended out right in the middle of the circle I felt like mr I heart nz getting in on all the action . It was great! Don't like the timing though... will try it again after half term as may end out a regular thing.

Thermo thanks for the bb gossip. How exciting for Shaun t. Twins! I can see how when they're older getting them to hold onto a barbell one each side and doing bicep curls with their weight! I'm very tempted to try shakeology having heard so much about it but I bet it has sugar of sweetening ingredients, which I avoid. After your post I went on machine baron's fb page. She says she's going to update dates and times for meet and greet opportunities. I'm very tempted! Although I don't really know why... I assume she's touting for more people to be in her selling team. Anyone here tempted to be a BB coach? Part of me is tempted as I've done so well with them but I'm not very sociable and don't have a very outgoing personality and don't think I'd actually sell anything.

Purple we are on half term countdown too! I'm on half term but dd has two days to go.

Hi all, Reastie your BA class today sounds much more like it!! Brilliant Grin

Roman - love that they are having twins - they will have to have names beginning with S - hmmmm Sarason and Seraphina maybe if one of each?

Purple are you a teacher? I imagined you were a city worker of some sort!

so I have not been exercising or eating well - probably fairly obviously as can't resist posting when I do exercise - I was getting away with it and although my weight went up I looked fine - then floomp I suddenly look distinctly terrible - need to get back to it pronto!

So adventures in our house - dd had a vom bug was sick once on the carpet and her bed then fine for 2 days then sick once again which meant lots of time off school. And worse last weekend I saw a mouse in the kitchen {shudders} I paid a bit extra and had someone round within the hour to block holes etc, But as a result I have moped the floor more times in the last couple of days than in the last year. Have also spend an inordinate amount of time looking up sonic repellers etc.

Well done on all keeping going strong everyone Flowers

Reastie · 17/10/2017 08:24

Yumy thing is you're still on here and still doing some workouts. I bet the floomp thing looks worse to you than anyone else will have noticed but I know what you mean, I tend to get to a point where things suddenly feel at dire point, but you've got the motivation, you can do so it!! I think the seasons and weather doesn't help either. You have to fight against the inward need for warm comforting stodge whilst the weather gets cooler.

Rest day today ready for BA again tomorrow!

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 17/10/2017 10:31

Yumy I agree with Reastie that I bet you are the only one to actually notice the 'floomp'! It won't take long before you feel better again - I usually find a couple of workouts mean that you look at yourself differently (I think it is that even if your body hasn't actually changed, you feel it has as you are doing something about it if that makes sense at all!) Good luck with getting back on the fitness wagon Smile

Reastie glad you enjoyed that BA class - when the enthusiasm is there, it really lifts the energy in the room and just makes it so much easier!

I saw that Tania was coming over and doing 'meet and greets' but I suspect they will be very London-centric so no good for me. Plus I envisage this BB coaching to be very much like a pyramid scheme where the ones at the top get richer and richer (and she is always going on about how she was bankrupt 2 years ago and now has a custom-built house Hmm), I am deeply suspicious of the whole thing!

Ended up doing Cardio Fix yesterday instead of Plyo Fix - because it was on my schedule and my conscience got the better of me and guilted me out of trying to avoid workouts I hate by making up the schedule as I go along Grin Anyway, I did it but struggled with a full minute of burpees last night (it was hard as I was having to shout at the DC intermittently to stop bickering and trying to hit each other and to get on with their homework). Managed 45 secs of burpees both times anyway so it wasn't a total disaster!

Purpleraindeer · 17/10/2017 22:07

Oh no poppy - vom bug and mice sounds awful. Poor you. Maybe pick one workout and just tell yourself you’ll just start it as a way to get going again? If you decide to finish it even better.

I’ve been laughing at the thought of Shaun T with twins! I wonder how much time he’ll have for exercise now?! Perhaps good for understanding his customers - I bet 80% of beach body regulars are mums with kids at home.

They should get me on the B.B. pyramid scheme. I’ve convinced so many people to buy t25!

No -I’m not a teacher - just really desperate for a hol. We went away v early summer so it has been aaaaaaages. I’m knackered, the kids are knackered. We need a break. Has been a very busy few days but only 2 more to go. Cardio fix extreme tonight. Felt so much better after I had done it after a very busy day. Honestly - sometimes I think a workout is what keeps me sane.

Have a good eve all Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 17/10/2017 23:08

Mouse mouse - not mice {hyperventilates} pest control man may have said mice I am sure it was the same mouse I saw.

ahh purple I though your children were littlies and not at school that was probably when thread first started doh sounds like half term can't come soon enough for you all. I am the opposite to you when I am stressed exercise is the first thing dropped - which is a bad thing when it is supposed to be useful for handling stress!

Roman I have the same suspicions as you re shakeology - but if there is a genuine market to buy the product it's probably got more potential than similar schemes? There was a documentary about Herbalife on netflix, I may have fallen asleep watching it but the parts I saw were an eye opener and sad that people from poor communities are being targeted.

Thank you all for the encouragement - I was going to start tomorrow but genuinely thought of your messages and left my dinner in the oven while everyone else had theirs and got on my exercise gear - I actually really wanted to do weights which was weird so did jillian bodyshred. I did nearly give up but kept going after a fashion until the stretching by which time I could wait no longer for my dinner.

Enjoy BA tomorrow Reastie!

Reastie · 20/10/2017 19:09

Yummy I'm checking you did start when you said you did don't mess with the wagging finger .

Purple, you're right, workouts do keep you sane!

BA class on Wednesday then this morning did BA on the secret site, that's 3 BAs in 1 week and a 70 minute run too. I wish I could do weights though! But I'm getting slightly addicted to BA! Was looking forward to a run tomorrow morning but weather is for gales so will probably do a DVD and just deciding what might be best. Don't think BA two days in a row would be a good idea with my knees...

So I emailed Tania the machine about coaching just out of interest. It's very interesting and I still don't quite understand it but bb are making a mint. Hang on, will post details. If it takes me a few hours to do so it's because I've got distracted with the bedtime routine.

Reastie · 20/10/2017 19:13

So, am I right that a 30 day supply of shakeology costs £98?!! No wonder they all have to recommend it so heavily on the dvds, that's well over £1k a year Shock

It also looks like there's a £16 monthly coach fee. So according to fb Tania has over 1000 members of her coaching team, if she gets the £16 that's (my maths is bad) £16000 a month. No wonder she's doing so well! Even if she only gets a percentage of that she's still doing pretty well. No matter how hard a regular user tries they're never going to get close to that. Not putting her down in any way, she's good at what she does and clearly she's doing well from it but I can't help but feel people are being Miss old the dream a bit as they will never be as good. Interesting you have to sell a minimum amount of bb goods a month to remain an active coach too.

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 20/10/2017 19:47

Well reading that, it is definitely a MLM scheme (aka pyramid scheme). Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!!

Reastie · 20/10/2017 20:45

Makes me feel a bit negative towards bb, which is a shame given how brilliant how many of their products are.

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 20/10/2017 21:08

I read a blog about a make up MLM - it was truly eye opening about how these things work Sad

Theromanempire · 21/10/2017 12:23

Latest FB update from Tania...looks like Shaun T is also in London! If I bumped into them, I would be properly starstruck Blush

Anyway project winter skirts has well and truly come off the rails Sad need to give myself a slap and get back on track!

Purpleraindeer · 21/10/2017 18:38

It is a bit disappointing that B.B. is sold as a pyramid scheme isn’t it? It makes marketing so cheap for them as they’re exploiting people who are a bit gullible in signing up. I presume Tania and all the original coaches make a lot of money from it as they benefit from everyone in the pyramid but I can’t see how you could now unless you really focussed on it and had a massive social media following to drive sales.

Well done on getting stuck back in poppy. Sorry to hear about project winter skirt roman. Perhaps one hard push on it before Xmas?

Did 21df ABC on thurs and nothing since then as life has got in the way. Back on it tomorrow hopefully.

Purpleraindeer · 22/10/2017 09:43

I’ve just read a blog about younique. I’m horrified. Let’s hope B.B. is not sold like that. I’m not really on social media so won’t see it, but I bet there’ll be some pushing of shakeology on Facebook soon.
Off to do a workout now. Have been MUCH too sedentary for the last 2 days

Theromanempire · 22/10/2017 10:54

Oh yes purple - FB is full of promotions for coaching and Shakeology Hmm

Supposed to be doing a double in a bit - hopefully a CDF workout then ABC Extreme - to try and get back on track Confused

Purpleraindeer · 23/10/2017 11:03

Did you do your double poppy? You chose a hard combination!

Just did Tabata Power from max30. Has been a long time since I did it. My shoulders are sore now from the tricep stuff. Was quite tired yesterday too after doing 21df Power strength extreme.

I’ve been making myself cross thinking about B.B. ‘coaches’ who pretend they’re actually coaches but mostly are just trying to sell DVDs and massively expensive shakeology. Grr

Reastie · 24/10/2017 16:30

I'm also feeling cross about the salesmen coaches too.

Went to physio today and she's done some magic on my elbow. Sadly it doesn't last long but it's all going in the right direction.

Did 40 min run on Sunday and BA yesterday. Rest today and crossing fingers for A run tomorrow but my knees have been playing up again.

Purple, hope the triceps are not too sore today.

Thermo, are you back on track? I have my wagging finger ready!

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 25/10/2017 09:45

Triceps fine now but felt a bit achy yesterday so had a rest day. T25 lower focus today - am doing lots of random workouts as don’t have weights as am away at the moment. I will admit that I couldn’t face a max30 this morning so I went for the easier option....must do another max30 tomorrow though as I know it’s good for me

Theromanempire · 25/10/2017 12:15

reastie yes I am back on track so you can put your finger away Grin Have done a workout for the last 3 days so I just need to keep going!

purple well done on exercising whilst you are away - I am always so impressed with your commitment.

It is not half term here until next week and I always struggle if I am not at work - I have more time to exercise but less inclination (if that makes sense) I just procrastinate all day about doing it and then don't!

Purpleraindeer · 26/10/2017 09:22

Totally understand the procrastination when on hols roman. I find the same when I’m out of my normal routine. When I’m working I don’t even think about exercising - it just happens as it’s something I just do. It’s more of a mental effort on hols.

Was in a bit of a hurry this am so despite best intentions I did t25 again to save 5mins. I did choose TBC though Halo. That workout does NOT get any easier. My abs and quads feel like they got a proper work out. And I got to see dereks ‘amazing squats’. It was quite nostalgic.

Theromanempire · 26/10/2017 13:11

Purple I have such bad memories about TBC, I just cannot face putting it on my schedule Blush even though I know it is good for me!

Purpleraindeer · 27/10/2017 11:36

Speed 3.0 this am. Smile
How is your elbow reastie?

Reastie · 27/10/2017 12:37

Elbow same as ever purple Confused. I've discovered that reading and going on the computer/tablet is making it worse as the angle of my hands stretches the nerve to aggravate it. I'm too scared to tell my physio this for fear she'll tell me I can't use said items/have to limit it a lot.

Tf hiit 20 this morning and 7k run on Thursday. Not brilliant but better than nothing in half term.

I don't remember TBC workout but it sounds hardcore.

Purple speed 3 - one of my faves Grin

Thermo glad this week is going well workout wise. If it all goes to pot next week you'll get back on it the following week. I'm reading a book all about the philosophy of happiness ATM and it said the best way to look at things is if you fail or don't do something you had wanted or planned to don't get anxious or stressed or down with yourself, just tell yourself you'll be back on it next time and don't dwell on the negative, focus on the positive that you don't give up and you keep it up even if not at that point iykwim. This is one of the many tips for happiness I need to listen to my own comments

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 29/10/2017 17:29

Oh No reastie. If your elbow gets bad after using tablet how will you mumsnet?! Shock
That is a good philosophy in your book. I try to do that. My tip is to challenge your negative thinking - I have a weird self doubt thing where I decide that no one likes me. When I feel like this I then interpret everything as proof of this - this seems totally mental when I wrote it down! I’ve tried recently just to stop the thought pattern and it does work and stops a bit negative spiral.
Bit of an annoying few days. Was ds’ bday and didn’t go too well. He was tired and then a bit overwhelmed and ignored his presents etc etc. Made me feel really down. DH had to remind me that he was 3 and that 3yo just do things like that. I need a strategy for Xmas though as it will be present overload then too. I have bought some good stuff from your Xmas threads too so I don’t want it to all go to waste.

Anyway - finally did a max30 - cardio challenge. Yay. And even better - didn’t max out. Must be fitter than I thought. Post holiday weigh in tomorrow. I think I may have done a bit of damage - eek.
