I hope you find me

Thermo it's annoying they film it out of order isn't it. I just did the 45 minute class and the extra tracks afterwards make it up to the hour. The only thing I don't like about the videos is there isn't a countdown timer telling me how long until the end like in bb, although as it's fir instructors I can see why they don't bother.

Thermo onwards and upwards. Today is a new week

Got a sore throat today. Which of you gave me your lurgie?!

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 02/10/2017 06:40

reastie ah that makes sense that they show a 45-minute class all the way through. However, track 3 and track 8 (the ones they miss out) are always my faves as they tend to use more 'poppy' music and I love kick, flicks and knees!

Hope your sore throat passes by without too much bother!

Theromanempire · 02/10/2017 10:59

So I did BA98 and LOVED it!! The music is fab (apart from the abomination that is Pen-Pineapple Hmm) and I didn't have to modify as much as I thought I would. I did do the full 60 minutes and put track 3 and 8 in the right order (years of Body Attack classes will not let me do it any other way Grin).

yumyumpoppycat · 02/10/2017 19:48

Well done Roman Grin sounds like BA has reenergised you!

Reastie it was me sorry {passes lemsip, and tissues} still a bit lurgified although slightly using this as an excuse for not exercising

Purpleraindeer · 02/10/2017 20:57

Well done Roman! Star
I felt tired and lazy yesterday so skipped a workout. That's not like me so I must have been tired. Am doing t25 week this week. Core cardio tonight. Was v surprised at how hard I found it. No breaks makes a big difference.
Reastie - you asked about Barry's boot camp. I've no idea how you could actually spot a celeb - the lights are so low you can barely see anything. It is a bloody good workout and quite addictive but expensive - £20 per time!

Theromanempire · 03/10/2017 18:47

£20 per session Shock that is one expensive class!!

My inner thighs are hurting today - can't think of any moves in Body attack yesterday that would have used my inner thighs but there must have been!

Did Upper Focus this morning and managed about 5 full press ups...yay Grin I couldn't do any a couple of months ago so I think I've made progress!

Hope you are all feeling better soon Smile

Purpleraindeer · 03/10/2017 21:43

Fab on press ups roman. hope the mysterious inner thigh ache resolves by tomorrow.

Did ript circuit tonight. Really enjoyed the variety of it but it moves so fast I kept missing the start of each exercise. Omg my abs. They will hate me tomorrow.

Hope everyone is feeling better. I need to get a grip on my eating. I'm eating biscuits and am carb crazy - it's like a slippery slope - the more I eat the more I eat

Theromanempire · 03/10/2017 21:58

purple turns out it is probably squats! Just done a Clubbercise class and the same muscles screamed at me everytime I squatted Grin there were a lot of squats in body attack!

I'm with you on the bad eating- I'm really trying but eating far too much chocolate Blush

Reastie · 04/10/2017 06:34

Thermo thats brill progress with the push ups, just thing how much more progress you'll be up to by Christmas! Ps I'm with you on the pen pineapple thing!

My calves really hurt from body attack still from Sunday! No space (as yet) on body attack this morning so going to go to the gym or do a home workout quickly before work but I'm not sure what exercise I can do this morning that will be nothing to do with upper due to injury or make my calves tweak. Thinking about going to the gym and just going on the treadmill and if that makes calves worse go on another's machine and keep moving until I find something that doesn't ache! Or maybe I'll just do a quick cardio workout at home. Still got a sore throats and really tired and under the weather, getting fed up of this now!

Barry's is expensive for £20 but I guess that's London prices for you. If you did a few a week that would seriously mount up!

Hope you're feeling a bit better reastie. These colds really drag on don't they? It's miserable.

I did t25 dynamic core on weds and rest day yesterday. I thought my core was pretty good. Apparently not. Blush omg - who can do bicycle v sits. Surely they're actually impossible?! Might squeeze in a workout later but depends on kids being ok and everyone is a bit tired and high maintenance by Friday afternoon I find so might not work.

Theromanempire · 06/10/2017 18:10

purple nope, I absolutely cannot do bicycle v sits - not even the modified version Blush

Going to try a new workout shortly..'clean week' has 4 workouts - Cardio, strength, core and stretch. Quick glance seems to show they are for relative beginners but they have an intensifier (rather than a modifier Grin) so you can work harder than the coach! Going to do core in a bit Smile

Purpleraindeer · 07/10/2017 10:21

I can do the bicycle or the v sit but not one after the other!

How is clean week? I love the idea of working harder than the instructor. Let’s face it, that’s not generally possible with the beachbody workouts!

Did t25 beta upper and really enjoyed it. Normally I hate upper workouts as they really hurt and I feel like I didn’t work hard as you don’t end up out of breath if you do only half of what you’re supposed to. This one was great as it had cardio in between the weights bits. I’d forgotten how much I liked t25!

Have a good day all Smile

Theromanempire · 07/10/2017 16:16

Clean week Core function was not that great unfortunately - quite tame compared to other workouts. The format was good and the coach is lovely but I didn't feel it particularly worked me that hard. I ended up adding on the Shift Shop core workout Confused However, the Strength and Cardio ones do look much better so I think I'll do Cardio tonight along with Lower Fix.

Purple I do like Upper Focus aswell. RipT Up (Gamma) is also a good upper workout so maybe try that aswell?

Hope you are all having a good weekend Smile

Reastie · 08/10/2017 08:05

Bicycle v ups? I can't do them at all! I just modify with cross crawl.

Thermo that's a shame with those workouts, keep us updated with the others. Maybe it's for people who haven't exercised fir years and don't want to be put off by anything too hard. I do like the idea of an intensifier rattan than moderator though!

So, I haven't posted in a few days as pretty rubbish and disheartened from various aches and pains and feeling low. Did 4 workouts last week but nothing notable. Yesterday did a 40 minute run and today aiming for bodyattack DVD. Weigh in this morning and haven't weighed this much since February . I need to get back to running 1-1hr20 as that burned so many calories. In good news being banned from anything weights or arm related, not bending my arm much and wearing a horrible arm brace at night seems to be really helping arm injury.

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 08/10/2017 12:29

Roman have you read back what you wrote?! It sounds so hardcore. The workout was too easy so you tacked another on the end! I love it. And I do admire your resolve to do another workout. Am not sure I’d have done that.

Speed 2.0 for me today. Haven’t done it for ages. Was a bit tricky as the sound and picture are out of sync on the secret site so I was always a bit behind and flailing about a bit.

Sorry to hear you’re fed up reastie. That arm injury sounds bad again. I thought you thought before it was on the mend? I understand why you feel low. A run on a day like today might be just the thing. It’s lovrly here (not that I’ve actually been outside yet Blush)

Theromanempire · 08/10/2017 18:50

reastie sorry you are feeling down at the moment Sad I think we all go through phases of being up and down with our weight/fitness and you'll get your mojo back soon. Have I missed something... why have you stopped running? I'm fairly sure that a full Body Attack class would burn a similar amount of calories as a run.

Purple not sure if it really matters if the recording is out of sync for Speed 2.0 - most of the time Shaun is going too fast for me anyway and I am doing it at my own pace Grin

I'm really not hardcore at all compared to all you! Can't do a minute full of burpees and only just managed a full push up recently!

So Clean week cardio - was ok. You could intensify it and get a reasonable workout but nothing compared to the other cardio ones I do such as Cardio Fix/Speed 2.0. But I would recommend it if you want to do something a bit more low key on any days - I guess more of an active recovery kind of workout.

Clean week Strength - was fab! Very Dirty 30ish in that it is just weights (no cardio) and lots of moves where you do both legs and arms together. Have amended my schedule to accommodate it in the future Grin

Update on Project Winter Skirt - my size doesn't seem to have decreased over the last month or so. I dropped a bit quickly in the first couple of weeks but then it seems to have stalled Sad I have taken my eye off my diet so I need to sort that out but at the moment, the skirt is just a bit too tight still (can just about do it up but not sure I could breathe!) My aim is to be able to wear it in November...

Reastie · 09/10/2017 20:02

Thank you for the pep talks. I did a bonus run today of 40 minutes. I figure I was doing 1 hour 20 run on Saturdays but now I'm on 40 minutes so I'll do two to equate to the same and lose one of my rest days. Made me feel better about things. I haven't stopped running but I've just progressed backwards and not digging it ATM for some reason.

Thermo go project skirt, you'll get there. I like having something like that to aim for.

Purple I can imagine speed 2 without sound and picture syncing was interesting!

How is everyone doing? Weather here is nasty this afternoon, really autumnal.

Well, in great news I did body attack today and loved it. Have booked onto a bonus gym body attack class next week but the timing is rubbish (11:30) so not yet sure if I'll go but the option is there. So did I mention my body attack class is always over subscribed and people turn up without a place on the class and sneak in as it's always so popular? It's actually quite a h&s risk and today a woman from the gym came and did a register and threw people out who didn't have a space! The funniest thing was we had already started the warm up so gym lady was going up to each person and running forwards and backwards etc with them to get their names and tick them off, it was so funny! We did pen pineapple song and I liked that track more in class than on the DVD. Was going to ask the instructor about it I heart NZ man in the dvds to see if she knew who he was but chickened out Blush . I've also noticed that the class generally aren't very BA like. So the teacher tries to get everyone in the middle for parts of songs and people don't really go to the middle and hang back along the outside. When we run into the middle of the circle and back they don't really run that much into the middle. I'd love to go to a BA class with proper BA energy and high fives!

Oh, and my gym has put up a giant poster for combat with Rach as in Dan and Rach in the gym and I saw it and it was like seeing an old friend up there as I felt I knew her from the dvds rather than just being a random picture of a fit woman iykwim Blush

Amazing what a good class can do to your mood isn't it Grin . Hope you're all getting on well too.

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 11/10/2017 18:52

reastie you sound buzzing about your class today Smile that's how it should be! It really is amazing how awesome a good class can make you feel - I miss it Sad

My old gym had full-on proper high-five, whooping body attack classes - it really makes you happy Smile I hate people who just go through the motions, if you aren't enjoying it, don't bother going lol!

Purpleraindeer · 11/10/2017 21:06

Glad you’re less fed up today reastie! I’m doing another t25 week so core cardio yesterday and dynamic core today. There is a new workout on the secret site called a week of hard labour which I was a bit tempted by but then got scared and went back to lovely familiar t25. Must man up and try something new, but I never want to....

Purpleraindeer · 14/10/2017 17:09

More t25 here. Riot circuit (love that one) and speed 2.0 which seems to make the balls of my feet hurt.
I’ve been watching Tanya’s modifier routine. It seems to require unbelievable coordination - seems impossible for anyone but a contestant on strictly come dancing. I’d have thought it would be a lot easier just to do the normal version but then stop for breaks?

Purpleraindeer · 14/10/2017 17:11

Err I meant ript circuit! Riot circuit sounds like it might be a bit scary!

Reastie · 14/10/2017 20:43

Thank you, it was a great class!

Dd been ill past few days so not done much since Wednesday morning attack class but this morning finally managed to get out for a run and managed to keep going for 1 hour 10. Only I think 10.5k so pace wasn't amazing but it's the longest run I've managed for over 3 weeks so I'm happy with that.

Purple Grin to riot circuit! I'm tempted to do it now just to try Tanya's modifier moves! Infact, I want a quick workout for the morning so might do it and just modify even more from injuries when needed. Is it alpha, beta, or gamma?

Thermo I think the people in the class are enjoying it, just not in a high five way, more of a keep back type of way iykwim I was there early to get my front row spot. I'm booking into another one at a different time on Monday and assuming I go (timings awkward) I'll be really interested to see how a different instructor and different class changes the atmosphere.

Good work on the run reastie. If the weather was anything like it was with us you had a good day for it!

It’s speed 2.0 which has the absolutely ludicrous low impact option. Low impact jumping jacks in particular seem both hard to coordinate and pointless. But I guess I’ve been lucky and not needed a low impact option as I’ve never had that type of injury.

Have a good evening all. I can’t help being in countdown mode. Only 4 working days until our half term holiday. Thank goodness! Smile

Theromanempire · 16/10/2017 07:29

Morning all Smile

purple Grin at Riot circuit. Am going to think of it as that all the time now! I hadn't really noticed Tania's low impact moves being particularly complicated - there are a couple of moves in Speed 2.0 that I modify.

Reastie let jus know how the Body Attack class is - hope there is more enthusiasm and high fives going on.

Had a bad end to the week food and exercise wise so today is yet another new start. Going to try and get back on the 16:8 diet properly and start logging my food on MFP again. Plyo fix tonight which I love Smile

2 bits of Beachbody information which you may or may not know. Shakeology is going to officially be on sale in the UK from Thursday (I think) - they are bringing the whole coaching system over and Tania posted a message on FB saying she is flying over this week to help launch it.

Secondly, not sure if anyone else saw it but Shaun T and Scott announced they are having twins Grin God help them!!
