I thought Th was 52 - so yes clearly the dye is paying off ;) . Oooh I am jealous Roman, I am a year younger than ST and pretty grey, it is ageing and although some people look fantastic with grey hair I think people would guess they were older than if their hair wasn't grey. I hope I will be ok to be grey in 20 years time though!

TheBusThatCouldntSlowDown · 18/06/2017 19:58

Forgive me beachbodiers for I have sinned. I didn't do my T25 on Friday because I got up too late, then was out for drinks at night and wasn't in a fit state to do it yesterday. So I'm just going to start week 2 tomorrow as though I'm not a lazy shirker. I do feel firmer, and I lost an inch off my waist just in the first week, and only doing it 4 times though.

How do you do chair burpees? They are literally my nemesis so any way to make them easier would be a godsend!

I love that Shaun T gave the struggling girl a pep talk. He seems so lovely.

Theromanempire · 18/06/2017 20:44

bus no need to confess, I think we all have those weekends where exercise just isn't going to happen. Tomorrow is a new day Smile

Chair burpees...

Purpleraindeer · 18/06/2017 21:05

I think chair burpees sound worse than actual burpees. There are so many hard edges to bump on or the chair could move or you could miss the chair..... my mind is boggled! I actually dont mind burpees now despite thinking they were the devils work when I first did t25.

Friday fight 2 today. Had a fan blowing in my face which helped but omg it was hot. Didn't dare check but must have been 26c in our living room.

Father's Day here involved a lot of cake. Had it at lunch and dinner Blush. It was yummy though.

Good advice from poppy, bus - tomorrow is a new week! I try to never have more than 2 days off in a row as I worry that habits are hard to create but easy to give up.

Have a good evening all. It is roasting here still. Lovely.

yumyumpoppycat · 19/06/2017 08:11

Bus Roman is right - keep going , and fantastic that you are already seeing results! Exercising is less off the wagoney than dieting because so long as you do some each week it doesn't feel like all is lost.

Purple yum double cake Grin you earned that after Friday fight in this heat Shock

22 hc cardio 2 ...that was ghastly! I am blaming the heat - I struggled, gorilla crawls...frog burpees, water bugs ...don't think I got to the end on anything Blush that surely counts as a HIIT workout?

RiversDisguise · 19/06/2017 10:37

Thanks for the breakdown, Roman.

Theromanempire · 19/06/2017 19:32

God it is so hot! Well done to everyone for continuing working out in this heat - think we all deserve a gold star Star

Just done Insane Weights...I really enjoyed it but DH not that keen. I was melting though Grin

Had a bit of a fat day today Sad tried on a couple of swimsuits and other holiday stuff and it wasn't pretty Sad only got 5 weeks to go!

Reastie · 19/06/2017 20:40

Thermo I'm Envy about your lack of greyage. I am 35 and already dying my hair in desperation from the grey. Btw I don't think anyone ever looks good in shop changing rooms when trying on swimming costumes. Try not to feel down and instead use it as positive energy to go for it over the next 5 weeks.

Bus I hope you did a workout today or I may have to get my wagging finger out!

No workout here today. Had a lot of boring errands needing to be run and tbh I was just too darn hot. Unfortunately tomorrow will be another enforced rest day as helping dm after work with something but already planning a swim for Wednesday afternoon (I'll need it to cool off the rate we're going!) and if the weather is a bit better a run on Thursday or failing that I'll do p90x3 lower.

Ps I'm miserable, my boobs have shrunk. The ONE part of me I don't mind not losing weight on and in the past year I reckon I've lost a cup size. Old bras are looking ridiculously big.

yumyumpoppycat · 19/06/2017 22:31

Reastie great to have swimming as an option during this heat wave. I was in despair with my boobage but it all seemed to level out and the rest of me caught up so they seem bigger although actually still smaller iyswim Confused

Roman it could be bloating or tootm - don't worry, and 5 weeks is lots of time to have enough of a loss that waistbands are looser again. Insane weights sounds great!

TheBusThatCouldntSlowDown · 20/06/2017 07:59

Roman don't feel bad - I'm convinced that shops light their changing rooms with the most unflattering light ever.

No need to scold me Reastie I am back on the wagon! Did T25 day 2 this morning. Current face situation: tomato.

Well done everyone for working out, especially in this heat.

Theromanempire · 20/06/2017 09:34

Thanks for the encouragement ladies but I was trying them on in my bedroom so can't blame changing room lights/mirrors Blush

Did Insane Abs at 5am today...still too hot then Grin bus I was rather tomatoey too!

Purpleraindeer · 20/06/2017 20:37

Hello. My face is this Angry colour. But I did work out. Thank you all for posting your workouts. It definitely encouraged me to do mine.

Swimsuit trying on is the worst Roman. It never makes anyone feel good. I bet you feel totally different about it when you put it on on holiday in the sunshine.

Reastie - I have the same boob problem. Although mine are now so small I dont think you could actually call them boobs

Purpleraindeer · 21/06/2017 11:26

Did max out power this am to beat the heat. It turns out that doing 2 work outs within 12hrs of each other is a bad idea! Legs knackered now.

The press ups section in max out power is awful. If it were not for the fact that the people on the DVD do it I'd swear it was impossible! Honestly I'm not normally so defeatist but I cannot see I'll ever be able to do it all Sad.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/06/2017 11:37

Purple you always amaze me with what you can do re pushups etc, I genuinely have thought well Purple can do it so it must be possible - you can do WAY more than most of the home dvders out there I would bet. Some of those people on max 30 are prob dancers/ fitness instructors etc?

I think the heat is getting me down ironically. I wussed out on exercise yest, but planning to exercise today will report back!

Theromanempire · 21/06/2017 14:53

Ok, so I am still doing push ups on knees so you are all much better than me Grin I quite often watch what the people on the video are doing and wonder how the hell it is even physically possible Blush

Confession time - I didn't exercise today as I couldn't be bothered getting out of bed at 5am and we are out tonight so no chance of rectifying the situation later. I promise to make it up for the rest of the week.

In mitigation, I did do a workout yesterday morning and then walked 30 minutes to a Clubbercise class and walked 30 minutes back last night so I did kind of do double workouts yesterday Wink

Still too hot....

Reastie · 21/06/2017 17:54

I've never managed to do anything close to a plyo push up but would love to one day but pre injury I was doing full proper normal push-ups after taking months to get there from knees.

Thermo if you're going to get an excuse card that will pass you out of a workout I'll take the hottest day of the year as giving you that. It was unbearable today. I'm not good in the heat and for my job I had to spent four hours in a room with half a dozen ovens on for four hours sweltering with just two measly fans. I went outside on full sun at midday and it was comparably cool to where I had been all morning. Gah.

In good news I went for a swim this afternoon but only 20 lengths the gym pool is small so it sounds more impressive than it is . I purposefully held back as I'm so dehydrated and didn't want to make myself ill.

Hoping for a run tomorrow assuming it's cooler .

We've got one of those giant paddling pool things in the garden that's 8 foot and dh, dd, and I have just been cooling off in it.

Theromanempire · 22/06/2017 13:18

Well it is cooler and wetter here today so life is back to normal Grin

Upper Fix done this morning - following on from the discussion about push-ups, I did 2 x 12 pushups - still on my knees but with my weight all the way forward rather than in a box position (if that makes sense) Smile Baby steps but maybe a full push up will be achievable Wink

Also accidentally came across a 10 minute Cize abs workout which looked good so might start adding that onto some workouts.

yumyumpoppycat · 23/06/2017 10:06

Reastie 6 ovens Shock that sounds awful!

I am working on pushups - I think I am doing them but not sure anyone watching would agree ;) If I am doing proper tricep pushups with hands close together I usually go on knees pretty quick, but try and do shallow bog standard ones.

22 hard corps today ..I like that they are hard and quick but starting to get a bit boring though.

yumyumpoppycat · 23/06/2017 10:09

PS good idea roman re cize, that might be good to add in

Purpleraindeer · 23/06/2017 18:29

....and the heatwave is over..... Sad

I'd like to say it has made exercise easier, but no such luck! Was supposed to be out last night so wasn't going to be able to exercise but got cancelled at the last minute. Felt knackered so reasoned I wasn't planning to exercise so I didn't and I sat on my bum all evening. Managed max out sweat today, my goodness my legs are still tired now 6hrs later!

Well done on the press ups roman and poppy. I think what I find so frustrating is that progress seems to come so slowly with them. Especially tricep push ups. And pop push ups. They're my nemesis. I've decided it's better to do fewer shallower ones but on my toes than just going straight to knees. Don't know whether that is actually right though.

Have a good evening all.

Purpleraindeer · 23/06/2017 18:31

Ps - I found the opposite about 22hc poppy. I really liked them. I did them as doubles and skipped stretch/warm up in between so was c40mins.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/06/2017 08:52

My god Purple I don't think I could cope with 40 minutes of Hard corps - the only attraction for me is the 22 minutes not the hard coreness grin]

toilet in middle floor has flooded here this morning so dealing with that instead of a day out we had planned. Luckily my mum has taken the kids out.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/06/2017 08:52

Grin Blush

Theromanempire · 24/06/2017 10:23

purple I am not sure about 22 minute workouts..I don't think I could be bothered getting changed for that. 30 minutes is pushing it Grin

yumy hope you get your toilet sorted. I hate it when unexpected stuff happens and disrupts all your plans! Hope you get time for a workout at some point Confused

I did 21df plyo fix yesterday - it has always been one of the harder cardio workouts that I do but randomly it wasn't that hard yesterday Hmm maybe I am getting fitter or maybe all those crazy Shaun T workouts that I did last week helped??
