Anyone fancy joining me for a quick 30 day shred before Christmas?

I've never done it before but am feeling pretty bleugh at the moment and could do with a pick-up. I think it will help me to watch what I'm eating a bit in the run-up to Christmas too.

I've no idea if I will actually manage a whole 30 days but probably more likely to if someone else is spurring me on! Anyone up for it?

Oh and post xmas I'm dropping to 5/7 days as a plan. Not sure how I mentally signed myself up for a flat 30 day 7/7 run on Shred.

Went for a run yesterday as DH's first day off in 9 days. 5k in 34 minutes - not bad given I've not been out for 2 weeks. Then did some abs and 30 day squats challenge on my return. Back to shred today as he's on call.

Definitely prefer running outside but having an indoor option is better than doing nothing in winter!

6 Week 6 Pack L2 done - going to try and sneak in another workout tomorrow after work before getting the train to my parents' house. Then a blissful week off...

Oh no, that's rubbish Brassica Sad Hope you recover for Christmas. I quite like 6W6P, it's fairly aerobic and definitely gets your heart racing while doing all those core type moves. It's a slightly different format as well (2 sets of one long circuit); I've never done it for the 6 weeks though, I think I would get bored of it.

I took measurements today...4 weeks and 22 Jillian workouts later, I've lost a solid inch basically everywhere (1.5 on waist), except for my thighs which don't appear to have shrunk at all. But I'm pretty happy with that, I'm fairly small anyway and my body doesn't change very easily...I've also not changed my diet at all, so I was never expecting mega inch loss.

My clothes hang better and I feel firmer, fitter and more confident, which I hope will motivate me to keep at it in the New Year Smile

Well done all and good to hear the plans work- need to stick with it better, though certainly haven't put weight on and have firmed up despite distractions!

Yesterday did some swimming with dcs but did manage some proper lengths while they played, in between the obligatory shivering and supervising 😀 Then dropped a log on my foot before planned JM workout- it was sweary sore and swelled up, but ok today- phew!

6w6p sounds good: I like to keep changing as I'm more likely to keep going.

Hope you feel better, brassica, that's rubbish.

Is anyone still doing Jillian? I have done a week of Shred it with Weights and a week of Shred level 1. I went for a run this morning and decided to go back to the kettlebell work out instead of shred L1 but will go back to shred tomorrow. I remember how tough level 2 is -worse than level 3, I think

Yes! I'm back on it, have done four days of Kick Box Fast fix.

Never mind ripped for Christmas, concerned blob after it, so determined to keep at it!

Painter coming to decorate kids' rooms this week though, so may be far too embarrassed to do it....😳

Oh heavens! Can we regroup?! (the thread fell off my "I'm on"). I've had "shred" on my weekly plan for 2 weeks now and I'm yet to get off my arse!

Well, the aches I had on the 23rd was full blown flu. I was flat on my back in bed for a whole week. Xmas dinner was dry crackers! Hey, at least no xmas eight gain!

But I'm better and need to get moving. I can't start today as I'm out for a curry until late. Oh the irony. My plan is, starting tomorrow, to refresh my 30 day shred. I'm going to do 3 days each of L1-3 before moving on to [cant remember the name of either of the other 2 DVDs I bought]

Hope someone comes back to join me Smile
