Anyone fancy joining me for a quick 30 day shred before Christmas?

I've never done it before but am feeling pretty bleugh at the moment and could do with a pick-up. I think it will help me to watch what I'm eating a bit in the run-up to Christmas too.

I've no idea if I will actually manage a whole 30 days but probably more likely to if someone else is spurring me on! Anyone up for it?

Killer Abs (L1) today plus some hula hooping. I am planning to step it up a gear this week and try some higher levels of various DVDs...

MissWillaCather · 04/12/2016 19:31

Reporting in again- see, fully accountable!

Day 11 done before family lunch 😇

Did the kickboxing one again, maybe back to classic shred tomorrow... still looking for those elusive abs...

Someone told me I'd have to low carb, but there is absolutely no way I'm giving up bread!

So will settled for being ripped under my wine/bread belly...

busyrascal · 04/12/2016 20:21

Just done day 9.

With only one more Level 1 left, I decided to try and push myself a bit more today. Tried to follow Natalie (except for the push-ups - obvs!) and feel like a got a proper sweat on for the first time.

I think I'm ready for Level 2 she says Grin

Miss Willa I have done absolutely nothing to my diet purely so I can see the impact of this alone and because who wants to give up all the good stuff during advent??

Inspired by this thread but had to wait until I had thrown off the worst of a cold. Just done day 3. My arms are dead - I clearly have no upper body strength. Push ups - on the knees - I can manage a couple of proper ish knee ones before I do rubbishy ones getting nowhere near the floor.

Might need to get more exercise DVDs - getting out for runs is complicated by 16mo and not doing a class in public - In my living room it doesn't matter if I pick the wrong left!

BrassicaBabe · 04/12/2016 20:48

Ooh busy going for the scientific approach. Like it!

Grin MissWilla I'll join you for the wine/bread belly.

I was really good yesterday except for 1.5 home made pizza and put on 1.5lbs. My metabolism is proper fecked after 25ish years of dieting Sad

Day 12 done. Arse there is a lot in the plant position! (With not much explanation on doing it properly). But already one or two moves were easier than yesterday!

busyrascal · 04/12/2016 20:49

random I'm already starting to plan what I'm going to do in the New Year after this is finished.

I have some Davina dvds which I've done sporadically in the past but I think having a 'program' is what helps me to actually DO it. I was a complete non-runner until I discovered the c25k app. I like being able to see my progress and know how long I've got until I've completed my goal.

I have no idea what the plant position is so that should be fun! Grin

As long as dh doesn't come in and start taking photos wouldn't put it past him

busy like your theiry, now I'd feel,I was letting the side down by dieting as well: would mess with the scientific process.

brassica I don't even own scales, but have lost weight this year on the cunt diet, combined with running and classes, and am so keen to keep fitting in my size twelves after years of sixteens.

MissWillaCather · 04/12/2016 20:57

*theory

BrassicaBabe · 04/12/2016 20:59

Hahahahahaha "this cunt diet" way gazumps my plant position!!

MissWillaCather · 04/12/2016 21:01

I'd be happy to go with the plant! 😀😀

randomsabreuse · 04/12/2016 21:07

I have got quite into running and really need to see progress - better splits and overall times - after I did c210k earlier in the year.

So I thought indoor stuff I can do while baby points and laughs might be a good plan but there definitely needs to be a programme. Also doing 30 day squats, plank and abs challenges but not very well having been stymied by cold of doom. Am definitely avoiding the abs - must at least try the plank challenge again after total fail yesterday!

randomsabreuse · 04/12/2016 21:08

Plant would be a good description of my attempt at a full push up!

BrassicaBabe · 04/12/2016 21:15

I'm with you random on the plank/plant front!

No scales?! So brave! 5 yo DD recently asked "mummy, why do you keep weighting your feet". Love it!

MissWillaCather · 04/12/2016 21:17

Think I'd have to,kill myself if I knew how much I weigh....

DeliciousIrony · 04/12/2016 21:49

What is the cunt diet??

MissWillaCather · 04/12/2016 22:03

H is such a cunt that you can't eat. Not recommended but very effective

MissWillaCather · 05/12/2016 09:38

Day 12 done!

DeliciousIrony · 05/12/2016 19:38

Willa Wine Hope your day has been less cunty.

Yoga Inferno L1 today + 10 minutes hooping. Still not sure I like that one very much, but I feel pretty good now.

BrassicaBabe · 05/12/2016 20:02

Day 13 done. Killing me a tad less!

busyrascal · 05/12/2016 22:01

I was supposed to do day 10 this evening but have been in bed since 8:30 feeling rotten. Booooo.

MissWillaCather · 05/12/2016 22:38

Oh, busy that's no good. Get well soon.

I did workout 2; it was hard!

Ripped,,I shall be.....😀

BrassicaBabe · 06/12/2016 20:51

Day 14 done. Now got wine!!

I'm not sure about all those L2 plank exercises! They hurt my shoulders I'm not sure I'm getting the benefit where I should...Hmm

Day 15 tomorrow and half way!

Anyone got any plans after day 30? (Ignoring the xmas thing!). I was wondering about 6 week 6 pack. But that's 30 mins!! I'm doing ok on the 20 mins I think.

I've got so many eating events over the next fortnight I'm not sure how I'm going to manage not to pile on the weight Sad. Sorry, but I'm not mentally strong enough to go out for a curry and order boiled rice and a dry chicken dish!

MissWillaCather · 06/12/2016 21:04

Wine here too 🍷

I think I'm going to stick with 20 minutes a day from now on...until I can face running outside again.

The kickboxing one is 20 minutes too, and more fun than shred: entertaining to pretend you're actually kicking the daylights out of Bad People 😀
