Hello all and speedy recovery to those injured...what a pain.

I have only 3.8 to add from yesterday. However, I am gearing up for winter running and determined not to slack off.

212.5

cinnamongreyhound · 11/11/2016 09:38

Ran last night with my neighbour, to keep her company really and ended up being late due to other commitments and poorly organised dh! Dogs were a pain in the butt but we went anyway! 212

cinnamongreyhound · 11/11/2016 14:25

Yep Smile

DH took the DC to cricket this morning so I could get a long run in and break in my new Hoka's. Throat a bit scratchy (both DC are coughing like hags) so I aimed for an easy pace on a familiar route. I hit an oncoming race for 3k about half way in which meant I had to do a lot of stepping to one side as the trail is really narrow- and got a bit of "Hola toe" but otherwise all good Got a pretty good time given that I wasn't aiming for one and that this week has been the time that restraint and self-discipline forgot.

229.1

Sirzy · 12/11/2016 15:04

Parkrun this morning and a few miles yesterday so 7.5 miles to add

236.6

standingonlego · 12/11/2016 18:33

HM done (new PB, happy!) so with a couple of training runs that was 20.40

257.0

emummy · 12/11/2016 19:26

Brilliant standing well done!

karatekimmi · 12/11/2016 19:52

Well done on your new PB standinG

24.5 to add this week for me

281.5

stilllearnin · 13/11/2016 07:53

Snuck in 4.8 between showers yesterday. Glorious weather today but I fancied a beer last night (might have had one too many)

286.3

KeyserSophie · 13/11/2016 08:09

Adding 3 from running round the pitch while the DC had rugby training

391.3

emummy · 13/11/2016 14:24

Cross country done! So pleased, nearly talked myself out of it a few times, but I did it! 3 miles, lots of mud, 2 nasty hills, and a sprint for the line against a man I'd just passed - I won! Not sure of exact time, but under 28 minutes, so very pleased. Ds did kids race and loved it, dd2 did her first 2 mile race and was very proud of herself, so a good day all round.
Think the arithmetic went a bit awry; with my 3 and Keyser's 3 I make it 292.3

KeyserSophie · 14/11/2016 12:29

I hope you yelled "chicked!!" as you ran past emummy Grin. Great time on that sort of terrain.

Sorry about the maths- that was me adding 100 and also adding in km not miles!

Adding 9.5 from today- 2 way gym commute and then a gentle run with my friend who is rehabbing her ankle

301.8

emummy · 14/11/2016 12:40

😀

cinnamongreyhound · 14/11/2016 21:21

Well done standingonlego, brilliant!

Yay, emummy! Glad you went and well done on your time with those conditions.

Saturday's very coughy and slow parkrun and a lovely run this evening in the spooky mist 309.9

Well done on runners and racers!

Slightly injured but managed a top 10 finish at parkrun... Hobbled a bit yesterday and didn't chance it today

stilllearnin · 14/11/2016 22:55

Everyone's doing so well! I only have 3.8 to add - to the gym and then using 9 spare minutes on the dreadmill waiting for my class to start. I've just started gym classes - this was an ab thing - and my god I feel old and feeble!! Grin

309.8

emummy · 15/11/2016 10:12

I know the feeling still, lining up on Sunday with a bunch of people 30 years my junior was an experience! At least you're out there, all the really feeble people are at home!

Beautiful run in the autumn sunshine this morning, just relaxed and trotted along, very pleasant.

315.25

KeyserSophie · 15/11/2016 13:21

Adding an incredibly hilly 7.1 after work- +850m so more climbing than running really and made me realise that I need to do a lot more of that sort of terrain

322.35

cinnamongreyhound · 15/11/2016 21:32

Very wet run!! 325.65

I'm sticking with it come rain or shine!

Though I have hiking planned for the weekend so might skip Friday's run. I'm a bit worried that if I give myself permission to miss, I'm on a (metaphorical) slippery slope. So dithering. With one slightly sore calf.

348.54

stilllearnin · 16/11/2016 10:35

What do you have planned for Friday Stella? Could you compromise?

AuntieStella · 16/11/2016 11:32

There's quite a lot of Stuff that I need to get through on Friday, and I don't want to make calf worse immediately before what is likely to be quite a physically demanding weekend.

OTOH, I could run tomorrow instead (sometimes you just didn't see wood for trees!) It'll probably have to be gentle, but going out at all would mean I hadn't let myself off the hook.

stilllearnin · 16/11/2016 15:29

I see...tricky! If the weekend is proper hiking and not an amble through nice countryside then you have not let yourself off the hook really. You may benefit much more from a rest and then the weekend even if you miss a planned session?

I had a rubbish run today. Just 2 miles and I had to walk. I am on day 18 of my period (tmi I know) and I was hoping for some help from the doctor in coping emotionally and there really is none. Not the doctors fault but I am struggling to see what else I can do to help myself get through.

Anyway 350.54

AuntieStella · 17/11/2016 08:32

I'm expecting one day hard walking, good night in pub, second day more of an amble!

I've run today instead, what is now a fairly standard 5k ish after DC leave for school.
