It's a tiny bit of time for me Needastrongone, I've lost several running battles recently and I'm not prepared to give up 45mins with my friends twice a week. He's fine with daddy once he realises mummy isn't an option!

I was supposed to run this morning, messaged my friend that I wasn't feeling great and wasn't going but she didn't read it (or it wasn't showing as read). I was up for an hour with ds3 then Slept on his floor 3-6, when I woke up I panicked she was waiting for me so I got up and went but she wasn't there so I ran 3 miles on my own, quite proud of myself actually!! 550.1

da, da, da, daaaa....super-cinners!!

emummy · 21/10/2016 10:51

Well done cinnamon! Who needs sleep!
Nice steady forest run with dog this morning. She was at the vet this week, turns out she's overweight, so she's on a diet and exercise regime! Happy with my pace on the hills today especially the last nasty 90m climb at the very end which often defeats me. Maybe I will do cross country after all...

lastqueenofscotland · 21/10/2016 14:25

9 to add. 559.1

emummy · 21/10/2016 20:33

Forgot to add my miles! And dog had to go back to vet when she suddenly stopped weight bearing this afternoon. Looks like she may hav torn a ligament, so X-rays on Monday, sigh.

Nice social trail run with a couple of guys I know this morning. Did first 9k with them and then another 9k on my own as one of them is just getting back into running so wasn't up for the whole route. Saw the mother of all rat snakes but apart from that and a tonne of fallen branches and some flooded stretches from the typhoon yesterday it was uneventful. At one point we did all have to commando roll under a fallen tree, so came back a bit muddy Grin

Sounds fun Sophie!

Went on my first run in the dark last night, the chest light is great but I think night runs over winter will mainly be with running group!
I had done 2 5k runs this week so another 6.1 miles to add

581.4

cinnamongreyhound · 22/10/2016 16:10

parkrun to add from me 584.5

Always and adventure Sophie!

I have 11.4 to add, met a couple of guys from the club at 7.15 and ran 8.3, then did the Parkrun.

This is the longest run I have done in 5 years, The easy paced 8 was fine. I struggled with the Parkrun as it's a very hilly route and I was tired. Felt liked I crawled in places but managed to come in under 30 minutes, which is something to work on anyway. Smile

KeyserSophie · 23/10/2016 02:01

Sirzy · 23/10/2016 13:38

Did a social run with a run shop this morning. 7.1 miles was good fun

karatekimmi · 23/10/2016 21:32

17.7 this week from me!

635.6

Good for getting'out cinners. I've found since running to and from work once a week it. Ales my training much more consistent! I'm guarenteed 14 miles plus parkrun most weeks.

Anglaise1 · 23/10/2016 21:50

Super race last weekend Keyser!
no racing at the moment, just enjoying running with friends and my dog. 51.5 from last week, weather is so lovely it is hard not to go out....

Gym commute for me so 4.4ish- much faster on the way out than the way back- ha ha. Got a new trainer who thinks my hip problems were actually caused by doing a lot of heavy lifting despite having very poor mobility (I cant sit in the bottom of a squat, for example, as I would topple over backwards). So we're doing upper body on the rings and a tonne of lower body mobility work (bear crawl, frogger etc). I have to say, I think it's working. I feel a bit springier, for want of a better word.

This week: have to go to track tomorrow. I havent been for 9 weeks and I am all out of excuses. Then might do 1 gentle run before my race at the weekend. Doing a 70k as a team of 4 relay. My section is c. 20k but it's pretty runnable.

Threshold 10 yesterday and 5.5 junk miles today. Feeling like I regret the 5.

Needastrongone · 24/10/2016 20:58

Interesting about the mobility Sophie. Do you try to run most days? I hate a love/hate relationship with the track in my day.

You might feel better for the miles tomorrow queen.

Easy 4.5 tonight.

emummy · 25/10/2016 10:36

Brisk sunny run this morning, getting chilly out there! Managed a good pace despite disturbed sleep last night.

AuntieStella · 25/10/2016 11:09

I've taken running gear on holiday for the first time ever! We're having a few days on the coast during half term and I've been running down the beach - firm sand so pretty easy - and in the dunes - loose sand, and up and down twistiness, so not so easy!

cinnamongreyhound · 25/10/2016 21:44

Well done Needsastrongone!

Good news on the springiness KeyserSophie and good luck with the race!

Yay AuntieStella!!!

Usual Tuesday run from me, only 2 of us tonight. 742.93

Had people dropping like flies from our group this morning! Ended up just me and the fastest guy, he was very good but ran just in front of me the whole time so I was pushing and trying to talk through gasps!! 753.53
