Well done on your pb Sirzy!

Yay for 10miles karatekimmi!

Mine struggled with battery when it's memory was full devilinmyshoes, is it worth trying to clear yours? Mine is only a 110 though.

Well done 0ellenbrody0, feels great to do first evers!

Welcome back LaughingM and yes miles Smile

I still haven't posted my parkrun Saturday as we went pretty much straight off on holiday, also ran with the dogs tonight and I've got a race tomorrow evening, sounds like a lovely course but I'll report back then! 823.32

4 to finish the month to round it up to 130 miles for me 827.32

stilllearnin · 31/08/2016 09:51

3.2 from me this morning. What a load of fantastic firsts and PBs on the thread at the moment. I am hoping to make double figures this week - it's been a while!!

Hi everyone :) de lurking with caution here because I'm not really a proper runner and I don't want to bring your totals down, but can I join you? I did my first 5k on the 21st and have another tonight, with a 10k booked in October. I am quite slow, taking just under 9 minutes per mile, and I use a stopwatch from 2001 but I enjoy my little runs and would love to "join" you all.

stilllearnin · 31/08/2016 13:59

Ha! cecilede sub 9 minute miles are not slow in my book. I like to keep it around 10 minutes if not slower and that way I can enjoy myself. Plus you can only bring our totals up!! So...welcome Grin

CeciledeVolanges · 31/08/2016 20:29

Well then, a very slow 3 to add from me :) very slow because I got lost on the way and had about a mile sprint right before starting, which rather hindered my negative splits... Thanks for the welcome.

CeciledeVolanges · 31/08/2016 20:30

Sorry, 833.52 :)

standingonlego · 31/08/2016 21:02

Fell off the thread but now rejoining in prep for a September "back to school" refocus on trying to locate my fitness and running mojo :)

cinnamongreyhound · 31/08/2016 22:35

Welcome CeciledeVolanges, I aim for 9.30's but don't always make it!

Lovely 5k race by the sea this evening so last miles to add to August from me 836.62

Easy paced run this morning, recovery after vicious bootcamp yesterday! Slightly cooler so pleasant forest run

lastqueenofscotland · 01/09/2016 22:28

6.7 plod round.
12.9

stilllearnin · 02/09/2016 09:24

Bit ploddy in places but 10 miles from me (and a tiny bit). I am finally enjoying new routes and just seeing where I fancy going. And the best bit? I can do the maths: 22.9

emummy · 02/09/2016 11:49

Well done stilllearnin!

Interval session this morning on usual hilly route. Think I need a new route, getting a bit bored! So didn't feel very enthusiastic but got it done. Planning horribly early run tomorrow as weekend taken up by ds's birthday party and dd's athletics club champs. Fingers crossed for dry weather!

Sirzy · 02/09/2016 12:01

First 10 miler done.

41.4

KeyserSophie · 03/09/2016 07:59

15k trail race- massively technical route with 900m of climbing and some quite tricky gully descents. Fortunately the country park dudes had been round and cut it back last week but it was still quite "bush whacky" in places. Came 2nd but not much competition- most of the good runners did the 30k.

50.4

emummy · 03/09/2016 09:07

Great result keyser, well done!
Lovely long run this morning, got to see the sunrise and then lovely run along quiet country roads. Very relaxing!

lastqueenofscotland · 03/09/2016 14:05

Steady parkrun from me

6.33, jog, sprint session, jog home.

Sirzy · 04/09/2016 13:18

Very tough 3.5 miles done. Cider is not good fuel it seems

77.35

devilinmyshoes · 04/09/2016 15:13

Huge congrats Keyser Flowers

I owe some dog jog miles but no Garmin so no idea. Borrowed a Fenix for today and am a bit enamoured of it. Has anyone ever got lost on an Out And Back? It seemed the perfect solution to long run route angst but I went wrong somewhere.

Anyway I think 17 should make 94.35

0ellenbrody0 · 04/09/2016 21:51

2 runs to add, Friday and today. Just round my estate, nothing exciting. 7.35 to add.
101.7

Anglaise1 · 05/09/2016 06:56

Congratulations Keyser you must be very pleased, a great start to the season for you!
28 miles to add from last week including a disastrous HM yesterday. I nearly gave up at the 6th km as I had so much pain in the back of my left thigh but managed to finish it at a jogging speed. It took 2 hours, 20 mins longer than I usually do and I hated every moment of it, especially being overtaken by everyone. Back to the doctor again but I'm tempted to stop running competitions for good now. My body is falling to pieces Sad

devilinmyshoes · 05/09/2016 09:08

:( good luck at the Drs Anglaise, sorry you had such a miserable race. Is it possible a little time off running might repair things?

Anglaise1 · 05/09/2016 19:45

Devil the doctor thinks I've just pulled a muscle so a couple of weeks off plus some physio should be OK. But my legs haven't been right for a few months, maybe the muscles are full of toxins - my neighbour, ex running trainer thinks this may be the reason?

devilinmyshoes · 05/09/2016 19:53

Like lactic acid or something? I hope the rest helps, I think resting is very underrated considering what wonders it can do!
