Lovely long run this morning, well, lovely once I got past the big hill at the start! 500m ascent, pleased with that, I need lots of hill!

18 miles to add. Honestly felt so easy, had to hold myself back for most of it then took the handbrake off for the last 5k. Was great

Your poor neighbor cinners although I recognize the feeling of wanting to kill everyone

Back from holiday, so I have read the whole thread now and caught up. Some really awe inspiring running from all of you.

parkrun yesterday and a very slow and hot 6 miles from me tonight. That, plus my holiday running means I have 25.04 miles to offer Smile

My first canicross run in a looooong time! I'm going to hurt tomorrow! Forgot how exhilarating it is running with the dogs going full pelt after other dogs, averaged 8m29 which is the fastest I've run for ages, good to know it's in there still!

Ran another 2K yesterday, not great but feels good to be getting back into the swing of things! I normally do 3 runs a week (three runs in concession running the same distance with one day between each, not necessarily over a week) so the ritualistic side of me wants to run another 2K tomorrow but I'm pretty desperate to up the amp. Don't want to risk injury though.

Not a good run this morning. Too hot, poor sleep last night, up early this morning cos Dd2 starting high school and high as a kite, time of the month, dog decided to misbehave, aargh! Should have done 2 mile jog, 7 mile temp, 1 mile jog. Managed the 2 mile jog, then 6 miles mostly tempo, then walked home!

MarbleFox · 16/08/2016 14:26

It's bloody boiling outside where I live, I'm enjoying the sun but it's far too hot to be running any sort of distance so I only managed 2K (well done, emummy!).
Came him with sweat pouring off of my and a beetroot face haha.

MarbleFox · 16/08/2016 14:27

Off of me, not my. I also forgot to add my miles onto the overall mileage, we really do need an edit button.

Where are you people with your hot weather? Envy it's kind of chilly in Suffolk today.

emummy · 16/08/2016 20:19

Well I'm in Aberdeenshire so my definition of hot might be different! It was 24 today and very sunny.

0ellenbrody0 · 16/08/2016 20:33

A hot and sweaty run this morning. I'm finding I need short walking breaks atm, then I get cross with myself for not pushing enough - oh well.
3.72 to add.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2016 21:26

Short walking breaks are better than not going 0ellenbrody0 well down for getting out in the heat.

Still 8 miles emummy!!!!

We had 20C top today, ran at 6 but one friend wanted to run at one point and other friend decided we should run there and back so ended up doing 10 miles!!! Furthest I've run since February, I won't be able to walk tomorrow! We also had a wade across the river and back which was an experience! 298

Well done cinnamon!

6 to add from me from yesterday 304

KeyserSophie · 17/08/2016 12:08

6.3 treadmill to add. Been a lazy arse this week. Working in Singapore with a 2 minute commute and cannot drag myself out of bed to run before work. I am a disgrace to the MN running thread.

Also did a 10k hike/run with DH on Saturday but there wasn't that much running other than downhill so I'll ignore that.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/08/2016 07:55

It was only weds when you wrote that keysersophie and you'd already done 12 miles thats not a lazy arse in my book!

Usual Thursday morning run from me, found it tough this morning. Could be the long run Tuesday night or the fact I have only had 4 full nights sleep in 4 weeks or perhaps I'm just really ready for my holidays! Was very muggy out this morning. 314.3

stilllearnin · 18/08/2016 09:52

keyser you are a legend so no lazy arse at all! Grin

3.75 from me today. It was cooler here and I at last enjoyed it - my feet are nearly fixed so I can hopefully start to up the mileage a bit.

emummy · 18/08/2016 11:23

Pyramid session today, good fun but hard, thankfully cooler and cloudy today. Forestry commission doing work, so usual route was closed, got to explore a new path which was nice.

lastqueenofscotland · 18/08/2016 21:27

Keyser if you're lazy I dread to think what that makes the rest of us! 13.5 to add from today. Marathon training is in a good place, but I'm on holiday tomorrow

devilinmyshoes · 19/08/2016 13:44

13 from me, technically 16.5 but I definitely mostly walked the final 3.5

KeyserSophie · 19/08/2016 14:26

Thanks guys but I'm woefully short of my 30k weekly targets at the moment and about 7lbs overweight with the start of the season 2 weeks away- argghh. Managed 4.5 this afternoon though as managed to get DD's party admin done earlier than I expected. Pinatas are the work of the devil.

354.9

Anglaise1 · 19/08/2016 16:09

Keyser you'll be fine, I bet with the start of the season the 7lbs will fly off pretty quickly. Do you have some races lined up already? I've got a HM start of September then some 30ish km trail races to prepare for the big race end of October. I don't feel fit at all, foot (arthritis), knee and arse (tendonitis) all seem to be hurting a lot more than this time last year, especially after intervals. I haven't added any mileage for a while so 127 to add for August so far.
481.9

MarbleFox · 19/08/2016 18:14

Managed a 3K today, I felt pretty good at the end of it so I might go for 4K next time. Well done to all those running circles around me Grin

emummy · 20/08/2016 08:43

Hill repeats this morning, chose a steeper hill so that was fun! Off to take ds to swimming lessons now.

487.2

stilllearnin · 20/08/2016 20:03

keyser yes I think pinatas are close to pass the parcel in terms of prep - is it today? hope it went well if so.
marble go for the 4k (but maybe don't increase too much too soon - which I do all the time! - ie stick at 4k for a couple of weeks mucking about with pace is a good motivator and you don't need to do miles for that)

I did 5.1 today and much better - suddenly remembered that I feel ok at mile 5/6 so hopefully increase this week again.
