I'm very guilty of overtraining/junk mileage so need to be sure not to kill myself!
6.5 post work hilly miles 85.68

Ran with my neighbour today, all going well big dog disappeared and came back eventually very slowly and then went off into the long grass and whimpered. He was walking like he was drunk, panting like crazy and I had to pull him along (35Kg so no way I could get him home otherwise!). Called dh in a panic and he eventually started walking more normally. I thought he may have been bitten by an added but it looks like he just massively over did it! Put a wet towel on him and he had a big drink then threw up he's been gone since but my goodness he's upped my stress levels today!!! 81.18

I just saw this on active threads and thought I would come and say hello. I have had lots going on in RL and although I have been running some weeks it hasn't been more than a parkrun. On holiday with my family just now and have managed to get out a few times, and am in training for the Royal Parks HM in October.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone and meeting newcomers Smile

emummy · 09/08/2016 14:14

Nice fartlek session in forest this morning with dog. Off down to visit dm with kids, leaving dog with dh so will be doing some solo urban running this week for a change.

Argh I'm jinxed! Ran again today and fell over after literally 30 seconds!!! Hurt my toe, arm and leg. Then about 2 miles in one from our group felt very dizzy and walked back so we carried on, got back to the cars and he wasn't there. Thankfully he turned up 5 mins later, panic over! No more running disasters please, rest day tomorrow and my 10yr anniversary! 91.7

Happy anniversary cinnamon, have a great day. Hope the falls are done now!

KeyserSophie · 10/08/2016 04:09

Happy anniversary Cinnamon

5.5 miles to add from yesterday. Did the hills, thinking that hike up, run down would be better for my hip. It wasnt. Back to physio on Friday.

MarbleFox · 10/08/2016 22:01

After running a 10K in under an hour in early March I stupidly let myself have a break for a few weeks, this quickly turned into a 4 month break Blush Kicking myself now as I feel like I'm back at square one!

Ran a small 2K tonight (a lousy 1.24 miles) as I want to ease myself back in, checking in here and hopefully it'll be motivation.

KeyserSophie · 11/08/2016 02:10

Hi marble. Welcome back.

I didnt exactly have a break over the summer, but I did no big hills for a month as I was staying at my parents in the UK. Back on it this week and frankly, it's miserable. I may have to foam roll continuously for 2 episodes of Orange is the New Black tonight.

A paltry 2 miles to add from my Crossfit commute - it was raining when I finished so my friend drove me home

105.69

cinnamongreyhound · 11/08/2016 07:52

1.24 miles is better than 0 miles MarbleFox!!

Drizzly run this morning without any falls or poorly dogs hurray!! 109.69

Result cinnamon!

Staying at dm's so tempo run in the drizzle round home town, lots of concrete! Where I live people always say hello so was weird being ignored by everyone! Good run though, pleased with pace

FiftyNineOhEight · 11/08/2016 10:05

Happy Anniversary cinnamon! And well done for your incident free run Smile

Enjoy your change of scene emummy Smile

Hello marble, fellow lapsed runner Smile

Keyser hope the hip improves. I am enjoying Hmm the undulating runs I have been doing on holiday. My usual routes are fairly flat.

parques · 11/08/2016 10:58

Another 9 from me - not all at once though! 6th, 7th and 11th August!

6.6 from me to add 134.29

stilllearnin · 12/08/2016 08:55

Morning. Thank you for all your lovely messages. We had a good couple of days.

Back on it and a very hot (even at 7am) and hard 3.09 from me. Scaring myself about HM all the way off in October.

cinnners congratulations on your anniversary - I have 10 months today! (nearly the same).
Hello again 5908 - good to see you again.
Keyser how's the rolling.
emummy sounds like you're flying at the moment - fantastic!

137.38 I make it...

KeyserSophie · 12/08/2016 09:04

well........so I saw the physio this morning and he now suspects that as my hips are now much more flexible and it's still a problem that it's probably a calf and foot issue. Had THE most painful foot and lower calf manipulation ever but it did seem to do the job so here's hoping.

Glad you had a good break with your DC

Adding 5 from this morning

142.38

parques · 12/08/2016 14:26

3.22 This morning. 145.6 new 'running' total!

MumboNumber5 · 12/08/2016 20:35

A very precise 4.97 from me (8K in training for an october half that feels unachievable right now).
Total 150.5

devilinmyshoes · 12/08/2016 21:02
