Sounds like a plan 0ellenbrody0, I know what you mean about walking, sometimes I find it hard to get running again!
Another lovely early morning holiday run, went a bit farther today and really enjoyed the views.

Could you do the c210k but with slow running in the walks and just up the one in the runs 0ellenbrody0? I know 28mins is good for many but when my pb is under 25mins it's a bit disappointing.

Dd1 surprised us all with a request to do a 5k run in the morning, so she & I went out this morning, walked & ran for 5k. It was lovely, such a nice setting in the highlands. Don't know how long this fitness plan will last but it was good fun!

Parkrun. 3 secs slower than last week but at least I proved the PB wasn't a fluke :-)

0ellenbrody0 · 16/07/2016 17:58

cinnamon That's a good idea. Once I stop, I can't go again!

Parkrun to add (1:30 off my pb - hurrah)

Back home, nice easy run along quiet country roads. Saw a peacock and a red squirrel, unusual combo!

9.7 from last two runs. was meant to do 14 yesterday but it's hotter than Lagos here at the moment and I wasn't up to it.

Finally back to running, well it's not really been 4 days but I missed parkrun on Saturday Shock because I was very sick Friday night and felt awful at the weekend. Very hot run with several breaks due to dogs and running buddy but still it's a run 271.55

Glad you are feeling better cinnamon. I don't know if I could run in the heat you are having! Out with dog this morning to the woods, was 16 degrees at start and 21 at the end, that felt pretty hot to me! Will be sticking to shady forest trails this week I think. Dh is off to the US on Saturday so I probably won't run next week. I have a race next Sunday so I am looking at it as an extreme taper!

Was 28 when I left my house at 6.15pm yesterday emummy! There is a bit of a breeze. Not running until 7.30 today so might be slightly better. What's your race?

Doing the Ballater 10mile race cinnamon; Ballater is a lovely wee town on Royal Deeside, near Balmoral and the scenery is lovely. Looking at previous results it's a small field and I will be near the back, but should be fun.

karatekimmi · 19/07/2016 17:29

It's too hot to run!! I'm waiting til it rains tomorrow!

cinnamongreyhound · 19/07/2016 22:13

Kept the dogs on and went an hour later today but still warm! 283.55

13.5 managing to crack on with marathon training 310.2

emummy · 22/07/2016 10:09

Glad the training is going ok lastqueen
Ditto on the wet feet here cinnamon; ran up big hill this morning and had fun searching for dry bits to put my feet. Was doing ok till dog ran joyously past me through the stream masquerading as a path and soaked me from head to toe! When I got home and took off my wet socks my toes were muddy! It was a beautiful run though, such a lovely sunny morning and so peaceful at the top with only the birds for company.

321.2

karatekimmi · 22/07/2016 18:08

31.1 to add from me! That's sounds like a lot when you add it up!! 352.3

I've ran to work a couple of times which will be very useful for training when school starts again! Now it's a case of trying to shoehorn runs in around the kids for the next six weeks!!

0ellenbrody0 · 22/07/2016 20:59

Early morning run to beat the heat, still plodding along and getting no faster! 4.5 to add.

356.8

karatekimmi · 23/07/2016 00:01

I wouldn't worry about getting faster in this heat!
