Glad you had a sunny run cinnamon!
Cloudy here today but at least it's dry. Did intervals today; because of dog I now do most of my runs off road, which around here means uphill, so did intervals in a route with 200m of ascent. Madness, but I'm sure it will help in Glen Coe! Knackered now, thanks to 2 hard runs and a hard session at bootcamp yesterday. And kids finish school tomorrow, so early morning runs here we come!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/06/2016 12:46

My trainers are really starting to smell emummy because it's either raining when I run or has been so the ground/grass is wet! So glad for dry and sun it's not true! Our kids have still got 3 weeks left at school but I have to run evening or early mornings anyway. Struggled to wake up today but normally I love it, very quiet peaceful time with no one around and energised for the day Grin

Went techles today, it was glorious. I think going by a route planner it was roughly 4.7. I actually feel refreshed for going Grin

It's good to run "naked" sometimes!

4.5 hilly miles to add from me,

713.7

Anyone else have a target miles for the year? I'm hoping for 1000 miles and I'm on 497 halfway through! I was hoping to be a bit further ahead, as summer isn't good for me!

Last minute, but I'm doing a half marathon tomorrow! Any other weekend plans?

emummy · 01/07/2016 07:30

Good luck karate, hope the race goes well.
No racing for me but planning to go to our nearest running shop with my birthday money for a new pair of trail shoes, can't wait!

cinnamongreyhound · 01/07/2016 15:13

Good luck karatekimmi! My next race is Tuesday 12th in the evening Smile

I didn't run this morning as my friend was ill and ds3 was up from when I got in from babysitting until 2am so I couldn't be bothered to go on my own!

3.1 parkrun miles to add.

3.1

Can also add 21.7 miles from June 735.4. That includes a 18.7 mile long run / walk around Herts. You had to navigate yourself and we had lots of fun.

MyBlackCat · 02/07/2016 13:43

Another 3.1 parkrun miles to add - easy maths today Smile

emummy · 02/07/2016 15:25

Nice steady run through town this morning in the sunshine. And then a trip to the big smoke to buy trail shoes. Got a lovely pair of Innov-8 roclites, they're so soft and comfy while hopefully being very secure for running up and down hills.

cinnamongreyhound · 02/07/2016 17:34

I have innov-8's emummy, not sure the model though.

parkrun and there and back from me 16.2

4.5 to add

emummy · 03/07/2016 11:14

First run in the new shoes, 10 miles up Hill of Fare, haven't been up since April so it was quite hard work! Absolutely lovely though and not another soul in sight, except for dog who had a brilliant time jumping over heather and swimming in all the streams. Shoes were great, really comfy and def no slipping!

karatekimmi · 03/07/2016 18:29

anglaise how did the scan go?

Oh My God, I think I've found my calling! I did a trail half yesterday that was 4 laps and at the check point there was an amazing array of food!! Cake, flap jacks, cookies, Jaffa cakes, jelly beans, jelly babies, drinks, jammy dodgers, it was awesome!! I ran with a friend and we had a mini feast every lap!! Annoyingly her partner won the half marathon, but we definitely won the eating race!!

karatekimmi · 03/07/2016 18:30

Anglaise1 · 04/07/2016 20:42

Good running everyone - Envy Envy
Kimmi bone scan is this Friday, fingers crossed it won't be too serious. I don't like swimming much (boring) and haven't got time to do the amount of cycling required to compensate for not running ( 1 hour of running = 3 hours of cycling I think, not the same endorphin rush either!)

lastqueenofscotland · 04/07/2016 21:29

Doh my parkrun miles didn't add.
3.1 for that, hurt my back since so no running, finally feeling a bit less crippled, o will try to make club tomorrow. Excellent start to marathon training

Adding 18.4 from 3 runs in the UK. Lovely to be on the flat for once but my hip is bad again unfortunately.

May take a few days off as planning to do my first ever Parkrun on Saturday.

73.3

emummy · 05/07/2016 11:11

Hope your hip settles Keyser.
Nice sunny tempo run in the woods today, bit harder than last week as not sleeping well just now. Which is possibly why I managed to press the wrong button on my watch once, and forget to unpause it once too! Never mind, overall it felt good and because I had done it last week I knew roughly where to turn round and where to slow down.

81.6

cinnamongreyhound · 05/07/2016 20:36

Yay keyserSophie, a parkrun convert!!! Hope the hip eases!

Good luck with your scan Anglaise1!

Lovely run with two friends and the dogs along the river tonight 86
