Anyone planning to do Juneathon this year? Run, or do some other form of exercise every day during June and then blog, tweet or post to the Juneathon Facebook group about it.

juneathon.com/rules.html

I'm hoping to give it a go to give me a kick up the back-side exercise wise and maybe combine it with making a few more healthy choices to streamline a bit for summer! I'm hoping to do 3/4x running, 1x swimming and 2/3x yoga/DVD/weights/floor work at home.

I had a day off yesterday (death by PowerPoint courtesy of the PTA). Today I did 30DS L1D5 & 6W6P L1D5.

KanyesVest · 11/09/2015 21:12

Ugh, PowerPoint should be outlawed. After making my promise to get out for a plod, I didn't make it...it has rained solidly for two days and I've had a tonne of work to get through the last few evenings any more straws to clutch?? Tomorrow, for sure.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 17/09/2015 19:29

How are things going Kanyes and Ann?

Today I did 30DS L1D9 & 6W6P L1D9.

I'll be moving on to level 2 of 30DS after tomorrow, but I'm going to keep doing level 1 of 6W6P for another week before attempting level 2.

Trying to remember what level 2 of 30DS is like - i fear it is the one with chair squats/v-rise in circuit 3 hmm. At least rock stars aren't until level 3...

KanyesVest · 18/09/2015 18:23

Hi Harry, I'm still banjaxed. Sil has a "100day cough" which is suspiciously like mine, so I'm going to be very pissed off if I've 2 more months of this. I did try a 4km run at the weekend and thought I was going to die at the end. Work has been mental for the last while and dh away a lot (and more of both to come) but I've downloaded a 10km trainer app which will hopefully get me going again. I'm going back to boot camp on Monday though, even if I only take it easy.

I don't think I even want to ask what rock stars are??

KanyesVest · 22/09/2015 14:22

Well, I came back with a bang last night and went to bootcamp. It ended up being a pretty severe kettle bell class, but I managed most of it. I was very glad I didn't run there though, I'd never have managed to get home again! Leg pains are starting to kick in, tomorrow morning should be interesting.

Hope you're both well!

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 22/09/2015 19:03

Wow Kanyes - that sounds like a tough session. I'm not surprised you ache today!

I didn't manage to do any exercise yesterday. I travelled into London for a course and I was tired and wet when I got home. Plus DS was feeling under the weather and was being unusually cuddly. So I sat on the sofa with him instead.

Back to it today: 30DS L2D2 (with lighter weights for the chair squats with 'v' rise) & 6W6P L1D12.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 23/09/2015 19:47

Just done 30DS L2D3 and 6W6P L1D13.

I'll probably have a rest day tomorrow - DD has a parents evening and it is my 40th birthday.

KanyesVest · 23/09/2015 19:55

Happy birthday for tomorrow! I hope you have a really lovely rest splurge day.

II was less hobbled than expected this morning although my inner thighs are killing me, so they must be getting skinnier! I went to boot camp this morning and it was more kettlebells. I was swinging a 32kg bell which is way more than I've managed before.

We're heading to the national ploughing champions tomorrow, so I'll be walking miles and eating my body weight in samples from the food village Wink

KanyesVest · 24/09/2015 18:51

8ish km wandering about today, about 2km if it with 17kg of DS on my shoulders or in my arms. I'm exhausted!

Hope you're being spoiled rotten today Harry.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 25/09/2015 21:02

I enjoyed yesterday - I'm a bit concerned that I may have eaten my normal daily calorie intake in cake thoughWink

I had a fairly intense day exercise wise not really deliberate

I did 30DS L2D4, and I was halfway through 6W6P L1D14 when DH rang to tell me he was going to be late. So I had to run across town to collect DS (10 min), then walk back home (20 min). At which point I re-started 6W6P L1D14, and did the entire thing plus the half I'd missed earlier - so I suppose I did 6W6P L1D15 too.

I've just had a well-earned shower, and I'm feeling a bit tired Grin

Rest day tomorrow - back Sunday if I can still move by then

KanyesVest · 25/09/2015 22:11

A whole lot of cake sounds fantastic, Harry. Hope you're able to move tomorrow.

I missed boot camp this morning, and went out for a lovely dinner with a couple of friends I haven't seen in an age. Going to try a 5km tomorrow, fingers crossed!

KanyesVest · 27/09/2015 18:22

I did a very slow 3.8km today and a trip to the pool with the children. Dh is away again from tomorrow and work is going to be bonkers so I'm not sure what I'll manage during the week, but hopefully it'll be something!

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 27/09/2015 19:02

This morning I started off with 30DS L2D5 - I even used the 1kg weights for the 1st set of chair squats.

Then I decided it was time to move on to level 2 of 6W6P Shock. It is insane - I definitely can't 'double-time' it on my second go round. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do this as a 2nd circuit every day.

That said, I can definitely feel that my abdominal muscles had a workout. So perhaps I'll stick with it...

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 28/09/2015 19:16

I've just done 30DS L2D6 & 6W6P L2D2.

I think this level of 6W6P is the toughest Jillian circuit I've done. It is all I can do to make it through the moves the second time around (double-time seems an impossible aspiration). I'm absolutely dripping with sweat once I'm finished...

KanyesVest · 29/09/2015 10:24

Wow, that sounds pretty savage Harry. I managed to get 3km in this morning after dropping the children. It was horrible, my legs feel like sandbags. I think I might go back to a 2c5k for the last couple of weeks of the programme to try to get into some sort of shape.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 30/09/2015 20:33

Exercising is tough if you've had a break. It takes me at least a couple of weeks for every week I miss. Don't be too hard on yourself Kanyes.

I did my DVDs in the opposite order this evening. So 6W6P L2D4 and then 30DS L2D8. I'm amazed at how much more difficult this made 30DS - I'm definitely reverting back to my usual order next time Grin

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 01/10/2015 19:22

Back to the usual order today: 30DS L2D9 and then 6W6P L2D5.

Nearly on to level 3 of the shred and only 10 more days of level 2 of 6W6P and counting - this level is my nemesis

On a slightly different note, today is October. So this thread has been running for 4 months Smile

Do you think it is worth starting a new one and seeing if we can attract some new people? Maybe Startober as opposed to Stoptober?

AnnPerkins · 05/10/2015 14:37

Hi Harry and Kanye. It's me.

I'm sorry I slipped from this thread. I have been on a mammoth sulk Grin

DH is still off work recovering from the surgery on his hand and life is busy at the moment. I'm still waiting for my summer holiday, which is now booked for half term.

So...no September/Octoberthoning BUT I did run a local 10k race yesterday. I registered a couple of months ago and after one thing and another decided I wouldn't be able to do it. But I had a trademark change of heart last weekend and decided I would go for it. I was very happy to finish, and in fact found it easier than the 5 mile runs I have been doing lately.

I'm so impressed that you're both still at it. The work you've both done since June must really be showing results now.

KanyesVest · 05/10/2015 19:13

Welcome back Ann! Well, I say welcome, I've been out if action for most of the last few weeks, leaving Harry carrying the torch for all of us.

I thought I replied to your last message Harry, a new thread sounds great. I'm very much looking forward to finishing a project tomorrow and getting my life back, so I'll be hitting whatever weights, classes or paving I can, come Wednesday

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 05/10/2015 21:08

Octoberthon thread here

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 05/10/2015 21:13

Hi Ann - nice to here from you. Well done on going for it with the 10k race.

I hope your DH is on the mend. Soon be time for your 'summer' holiday. Are you going somewhere exciting?

Today I did 30DS L3D3 & 6W6P L2D8. I'm definitely noticing the results - I've lost a dress size since this time last year (even my former 'thin' jeans are a bit loose at the moment).

AnnPerkins · 06/10/2015 12:52

Thanks for the welcome back. DH's hand will never be the same, sadly. Particularly unfortunate because he's a guitarist. It hasn't stopped him going to karate though Hmm

We're off to Majorca for half term. I'm hoping Autumn doesn't set in too early over there.

Huge well done for dropping a dress size, Harry. Good luck with Octoberthon.
