Anyone planning to do Juneathon this year? Run, or do some other form of exercise every day during June and then blog, tweet or post to the Juneathon Facebook group about it.

juneathon.com/rules.html

I'm hoping to give it a go to give me a kick up the back-side exercise wise and maybe combine it with making a few more healthy choices to streamline a bit for summer! I'm hoping to do 3/4x running, 1x swimming and 2/3x yoga/DVD/weights/floor work at home.

I think I need to dig out my Shred to keep up with you all! I didn't manage anything other than a disco in the kitchen with DD yesterday, but I had a tough HIIT class this morning. Then I ate an entire packet of haribos that were supposed to be for DD's birthday party tomorrow Blush

AnnPerkins · 06/06/2015 16:57

You earned those Haribos Kanye. And you probably will again at the party tomorrow!

6.3 miles on my bike today. I cycled to the sports shop to look at running stuff.

Not bad on two hours' sleep. DH and I will be going to bed the same time as DS tonight Grin

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 06/06/2015 18:46

I had a rest day yesterday. Back to shredding today - 30DS L1D5 completed.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 07/06/2015 19:46

Just completed 30DS L1D6. I'm feeling quite pleased with myself - I've managed to exercise on 6 out of the past 7 days Smile

KatharineClifton · 07/06/2015 19:53

30DS L1D3&4 yesterday and today.

Does it really get easier on Day 6 Harry or is Gillian pulling my leg when she says that?

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 07/06/2015 20:11

I think it is getting easier (although personally I found D5 easier than D6 - but then I walked miles today before getting home and shredding).

AnnPerkins · 07/06/2015 20:31

Ran 4.48 miles today. Was tough in the heat.

KanyesVest · 07/06/2015 21:15

I was on my feet for 8 straight hours yesterday except a 25 second pee so I fell onto the couch after the party and couldn't move! So I just did a 5km plod. God I'm slow. Any suggestions from those who run a lot for how to get a bit faster?

AnnPerkins · 07/06/2015 22:32

Maybe try a training plan? Runners world.co.uk has some good ones.

KanyesVest · 08/06/2015 12:23

I'll have a look there, thanks Ann.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 08/06/2015 19:52

Just done 30DS L1D7. Feeling quite tired today (didn't sleep well - lots of weird dreams last night).

KanyesVest · 08/06/2015 20:44

I ran to and home from boot camp this evening, so 4km plus 40min circuits. I really pushed myself on the way done and did the 2km 2 mins quicker than my usual pace. Had to plod home though Blush. Must have been something in the air last light, Harry, I slept horribly too.

AnnPerkins · 09/06/2015 09:26

That's impressive kanyes, especially after boot camp.

Well done for carrying on through lack of sleep HarryLime. It's not easy to get moving when you're hanging with tiredness is it?

I have a sore ankle which I'm really hoping isn't due to my new running shoes. I only did some stretching and foam rollering (ouch!) and iced my ankle. It feels better today so will attempt a gentle run with my old shoes tonight.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 09/06/2015 20:20

30DS L1D8 done. I'll be having a rest day tomorrow, but I'm hoping to finish L1 before the weekend.

LaughingM · 09/06/2015 21:11

Oh dear I'm falling off the Juneathon bandwagon already. I was going great guns, then failed to do anything other than a a bit of gardening on saturday - so was counting it as a rest day and hoping to make it 6 out of 7. Ran for 1hr45mins on sunday so was supposed to do yoga last night... but didn't. AND was supposed to run after work today, but I didn't finish till late and was shattered and hungry. But could do some yoga before bed. Hope that posting here will give me a bit of a kick up the backside!

Laughing, I fell off a bit too. Didn't get to do anything yesterday as I was working so late, and I was too tired to go to bootcamp this morning. I'll definitely go to boxing tonight though - promise!

AnnPerkins · 10/06/2015 13:54

I managed a 20 minute run and 10 minutes of foam rollering. The rollering bit was by far the most painful Confused

KanyesVest · 10/06/2015 21:08

10 mins of rollering?? Ouchie! Well done getting through it.

I went to boxing and was the only person there so I couldn't hide! I'm not sure I'll be able to use my right arm tomorrow Confused

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 10/06/2015 22:06

Today I had a team building event. We hacked down 40 feet of tangled honeysuckle hedge between twelve of us. I'm knackered!

LaughingM · 10/06/2015 22:17

Blimey Kanyes I don't think I'd be able to cope being the only one at an exercise class! Well done.

Good work Ann and Harry too!

Did some weights/floor work last night, and went swimming this evening. Fingers crossed I'm back in the swing of things now, but I'm away over the weekend so that will be the next challenge!

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 11/06/2015 20:14

Just realised that yesterday's post should've read 40 metres of hedge (not 40 feet of hedge).

Back to 30DS today - L1D9.

AnnPerkins · 11/06/2015 22:06

Ran 4 miles tonight. It was tough in the heat. So shattered I fell asleep as soon as I sat on the sofa this evening.

KanyesVest · 11/06/2015 22:44

Good work both of you! DH ended up working late and my brother dropped in so I didn't get out for my planned run poor me.

Laughing, the one to one class was great actually. I wouldn't have been brave enough for a solo bootcamp class, but the boxing was fun.

KanyesVest · 12/06/2015 10:59

Just did 35mins at bootcamp - running, flipping and dragging tractor tyres and sumo squat deadlifts with a 20kg bar. I'm pooped.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 12/06/2015 19:33

30DS -L1D10. On to level 2 tomorrow Smile
