Anyone planning to do Juneathon this year? Run, or do some other form of exercise every day during June and then blog, tweet or post to the Juneathon Facebook group about it.

juneathon.com/rules.html

I'm hoping to give it a go to give me a kick up the back-side exercise wise and maybe combine it with making a few more healthy choices to streamline a bit for summer! I'm hoping to do 3/4x running, 1x swimming and 2/3x yoga/DVD/weights/floor work at home.

Enjoy your weekend away Ann - I think we're due some reasonable weather too.

Following a bit of recalculation and back checking, I've concluded that I've just done 30DS L3D4 and Ri30L1D6. I suppose I should think about moving up a level for Ri30 (I've heard L2 is fairly evil - someone described it to me as their nemesis, which is a bit worrying Confused)

I'm having a rest day tomorrow anyway. Aiming to exercise again on Sunday morning...

KanyesVest · 08/08/2015 22:30

Hi both, hope you're having a lovely weekend. I have managed 3 x hour splashing in the pool with the kids, a 5km and a good bit of walking so far. I am taking the hit on all the wine though, as DH has come over all teetotal on our holidays Confused Hoping to do 5k again tomorrow.

Harry, you must have a 6pack at this stage?!? Ann, hope the meds kick in quickly and effectively for you.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 09/08/2015 13:00

I'm enjoying the weekend - it is nice to see a bit of sun.

I'm really having to make myself exercise at the moment - I'm not feeling terribly motivated.

Today I did:
30DS L3D5
6W6P L1D8
Ri30 L1D7

I don't have a noticeable six pack - I can certainly feel that I have muscle around my abs though. I can't face trying to exist on 1200 calories per day, so I guess it will take a while to see any real definition (I've lost half a stone since the start of June, but my weight is now stable).

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 10/08/2015 21:10

I hope you both enjoyed your weekends.

Back to the circuits this evening. I've just done 30DS L3D6 & 6W6P L1D9.

KanyesVest · 10/08/2015 21:31

That's a great double whammy from the last couple of months, Harry, a few pounds down and killer abs! I need to get back on the 1200 cals wagon. I did it for just over 18 months but got a bit bored of it. One more week of holidays to enjoy before then though!

I was planning to go for a run today but my period has arrived a week early and I feel like I've been hit by a bus. Hopefully tomorrow might be better.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 11/08/2015 19:42

I'm not even going to attempt 1200 Calories - I know it would make me miserable. Besides, surely the whole point of exercising is that you can keep eating nice things without putting on weight...

I'm going on holiday next week (my flight should be taking off this time next week). I imagine I'll take a bit of a break from Augustathon and re-join Septemberthon.

In the meantime I'm cracking on with the circuits: 30DS L3D7 & Ri30 L1D8.

I think I might watch through L2 of Ri30 - I think I need to move on from L1.

AnnPerkins · 12/08/2015 13:14

Hi both. I had a great weekend, followed by a lovely day off on Monday with DS. I've managed 1 x Jessica and a five mile run this week. Another nasty headache after the run, though, the meds aren't working yet.

Harry, I think you've earned yourself a very indulgent holiday. I'm off on Sunday 23rd, Operation Stack permitting...

Sorry to hear you're suffering Kanye. At times like this a large Wine is allowed instead of a run.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 12/08/2015 20:09

The headaches sound horrible Ann - fingers crossed the meds start working soon.

I'm not sure how I feel about doing no exercise for 2 weeks. I suspect DH might start thinking about divorcing me if my Jillian DVDs come on holiday with us. Needless to say they'll be staying at home Wink

One more set of circuits down - 30DS L3D8 & 6W6P L1D10. I'm on track to finish my second round of 30DS this week Smile

KanyesVest · 12/08/2015 22:56

You'll be surprised how much you'll miss Jillian, Harry... DH sent me out for a run this evening, because I was apparently "twitchy" because I haven't been out running much Hmm. There isn't anywhere safe I could go for a reasonable run, there's approx 1km of footpath which disappears into very rural roads almost immediately, so instead of repeatedly running past the evening drinkers enjoying a pint in the beer garden, I ended up in the coach car park behind the local castle attraction doing spring drills! (Btw, did you know you can get all of JM's workouts on Youtube, so once you have wifi and a smart phone...)

Hope your meds kick in soon Ann, it must be very debilitating to suffer like that in the summer.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 13/08/2015 20:02

Today I started with 30DS L3D9, and then had a go at Ri30 L2D1. I found it challenging to say the least (plank jacks-mountain climbers-plank jacks-mountain climbers is an evil cardio circuit) - I'm lacking coordination for the unfamiliar moves. I hope it will get better if I persevere....

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 14/08/2015 19:16

Finished the week with 30DS L3D10 and 6W6P L1D11.

I've now completed 30DS for the second time. I've included 'before' (2 June), 'during' (17 July - 1st 30DS complete) and 'after' (today) photos. Smile

Wow, Harry, you look amazing! Once I put down my wine and crisps get home, I'm following your lead with Jillian.

Happy weekend to you both.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 16/08/2015 14:10

Happy Weekend!

I had a rest day yesterday. Today I did Ri30 L2D2 and 6W6P L1D12.

I'm not feeling much love for L2 of Ri30 - I'm hoping it will get better once I'm more used to the moves.

I also bought some new trousers for my holiday today - they are a size smaller than my 'usual' size Smile

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 17/08/2015 20:04

I think I'm finally getting the hang of the new level of Ri30. It didn't seem so bad this evening. I did Ri32D3 & 6W6P L1D13.

I'm taking a break for a couple of weeks now. We head off on holiday tomorrow - back on 3 September....

KanyesVest · 17/08/2015 20:53

Great that you're getting the hang of it in time for a brilliant break, Harry Grin Have a lovely holiday, enjoy the sunshine.

I am back on the horse today. I did my usual run to/ from boot camp. Bloody hell, it was tough. The run was definitely a plod, and the class was 30mins of HIIT intervals. I wasn't sure I'd make it home, but I managed not to stop, which was a happy surprise!

KanyesVest · 21/08/2015 12:57

Hope you're both enjoying your holidays! I didn't manage anything Tuesday or Thursday as work has been mental, but I had a really hard weights/circuits class on Wednesday and a heavy duty cardio circuits class today. I can feel the last two weeks of wine sweating out of me! Hopefully I'll get out for a run tomorow evening.

AnnPerkins · 21/08/2015 16:56

Hi. I'm back after an enforced absence due to password/site attack debacle.

We've had to cancel our holiday because DH has to have urgent surgery on a broken hand. Gutted is not the word Sad

As a result I'm sulking and any thought of exercise has gone out of the window for now. I'm hoping to be back pounding the pavements next week though. Got that 10k in October to train for!

Keep up the good work Kanye!

KanyesVest · 23/08/2015 13:44

Oh no, your poor DH. I hope he's not in too much pain. Will you be able to reschedule for later in the year?

I got out for a run last night. It was late and wet so I only did 5k and it was hard going, my slowest plod in a long time. Still bucketing rain so I might channel Harry and do some Jillian this evening.

AnnPerkins · 24/08/2015 10:51

Thanks. Not too much pain at the moment because it's started healing. Unfortunately they will have to re-break it so more pain and bruising to come. He's more worried about the general anaesthetic than the surgery itself though.

Well done for keeping up the running. I might go out tonight. We've booked a campsite on the south coast for next week - DH will be happy to convalesce on a deckchair with a seaview - and the forecast is not too good. Should be ok for running though, so I'm going to take my kit and do my training in a change of scenery.

KanyesVest · 27/08/2015 21:54

Sounds like he's really been in the wars, Ann, I hope the recovery isn't too bad. Are you heading off this weekend? Enjoy the break.

We're a bit house o'plague here, dh and the kids have all been sick and work has been completely mental for me, so I've done nothing for the last few days. I got out for a very short run this afternoon, but it was such hard going I cut it short and only did 20mins. Think I'm going to download a 5-10k app to get me going again, its all feeling very hard at the moment. Roll on September...

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 29/08/2015 15:52

Hello - just checking in briefly (I'm back in the country for 24 hours or so). I'll be back properly later this week (hopefully Thursday).

Sorry to hear about your DH Ann - I hope he recovers soon. Enjoy your break.

Hope things calm down for you soon Kanyes

KanyesVest · 29/08/2015 16:27

Hope phase one of the holiday was lovely Harry. Enjoy the rest.

I'm in bed, having been struck down by DH's lurgy. At least it explains why my run was so awful during the week.

Ann, hope you're having a nice break and your dh isn't in pain.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 04/09/2015 18:18

I enjoyed the holiday - phase 1 and phase 2 Smile My first day back doing circuits not so much Wink

I did 30DS L1D1 (which wasn't pleasant) and 6W6P L1D1 (which was OK) yesterday.

Just trying to motivate myself to put my kit on and do some exercise.

KanyesVest · 09/09/2015 21:31

Hi Harry, hope your holiday glow hasn't worn off! How are you finding getting back into your circuits?

I have been really sick for the last two weeks with croup so I haven't been able to do a thing. Now that I can breath again with a hacking cough, I'm going to gently ease myself back, and try a short run tomorrow evening, I'll be happy with 3k. And now that I've posted about it, I'll have to do it!

Ann, hope all is well and you had a great holiday too.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 09/09/2015 22:05

Hi Kanyes - it sounds like you've had a tough couple of weeks. Take it easy and make sure you get better properly.

I'm slowly getting back into exercising (hindered somewhat by trying to fit in exercise around back-to-school meetings).

Today I did 30DS L1D4 & 6W6P L1D4. I moved back up to my 1kg weights too Smile

I'm aiming to finish 30DS & 6W6P before I go on my next holiday on 18 October. I'm not sure how this will go (my motivation drops as the weather gets colder).
