Anyone planning to do Juneathon this year? Run, or do some other form of exercise every day during June and then blog, tweet or post to the Juneathon Facebook group about it.

juneathon.com/rules.html

I'm hoping to give it a go to give me a kick up the back-side exercise wise and maybe combine it with making a few more healthy choices to streamline a bit for summer! I'm hoping to do 3/4x running, 1x swimming and 2/3x yoga/DVD/weights/floor work at home.

Well done you two. I did the core and flex video again last night - helped by DS getting in the way shouting 'This is easy!' Hmm

Got slightly hurry ankles again today so my next outdoors workout will be a bike ride. But busy this morning and going to a beer festival this afternoon so not sure when I can fit it in.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

KanyesVest · 13/06/2015 10:41

Surely walking around a beer festival counts for today??

I'm going to champagne afternoon tea, so planning to get out for a run after I drop DD to a party.

Hope the sun is shining wherever you are!

AnnPerkins · 13/06/2015 22:55

Hmm well didn't make it to beer festival due to constant rain so did a 28 min HIIT video at home instead.

MY GOD they're tough aren't they?! It didn't help that it was so humid and airless this afternoon, thought I was going to expire there and then.

I'm expecting stiffness tomorrow but planning a bike ride for an hour or so.

Champagne afternoon tea sounds extremely civilised. Hope you enjoyed it.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 14/06/2015 10:11

I had a fairly lazy day yesterday (although I walked into town and back again twice in the rain ).

Just moved up to L2 of 30DS. It seems much tougher than L1. I'm hoping it will get better the more I do it (hate to think what L3 is like).

KanyesVest · 14/06/2015 18:25

The afternoon tea was lovely, although there was a sad lack of champers, with good news of 2 pregnancies and the other non pregnant friend driving! We had an obscene about of chocolate though...mousse, truffles, drinking and a melting choc caramel bomb thing. I easily lost a week's worth of workout effort just looking at them!

Anyway, I went swimming /splashing at the pool with the kids today, and planning a reasonably easy 5km after they go to bed later.

AnnPerkins · 15/06/2015 09:49

Well done Harry, good luck with L2!

Afternoon tea sounds nice - very chocolatey. Just think how guilty you would be feeling, Kanye, if you hadn't been doing Juneathon?

I did 9.4 miles on my bike. No idea how long it took because I accidentally pressed Pause Workout on MapMyRun seconds after pressing Start Workout Angry. Was a nice ride though, I'm going to do a bit more cycling I think.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 15/06/2015 19:56

30DS L2D2. Didn't seem so bad today (although I'm finding it tricky to keep my balance during a couple of the moves).

KanyesVest · 15/06/2015 21:02

I am.officially dead...5km jog and 40min circuit class. For maxi points, can I count the hour rambling round a country house/farm with the children??

Harry, I know I did the first level of 30ds but I'm not sure I got any further Blush must try it again some time in the distant future

AnnPerkins · 16/06/2015 12:14

I did the core/flex video again last night. I'm quite pleased because I'm doing the harder versions of some of the exercises now, so it must be making a difference.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 16/06/2015 18:46

Faced with horrible traffic and kids activities I've spent the evening crossing town on foot. So: brisk walk from home to football with DS (20 min); run from football to athletics track to collect DD (15 mins); walk from athletics track to home (10 mins); run from home to football to collect DS (10 mins); walk from football to home (20 mins). I think that might be enough for today...

AnnPerkins · 16/06/2015 20:00

Definitely! Way to make a busy day work for you Harry!

I ran 4 miles. Am knackered.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 16/06/2015 20:49

My motivation was high this evening - I did 30SD L2D3 anyway. It'll be interesting to see how much I ache tomorrow.

KanyesVest · 16/06/2015 22:06

Well done both of you! I love being able to work exercise into other things like you did Harry, it always takes the worst of the sting out of it.

DH is out this evening so I decided to try JM shred with weight and got through D1L1. Think my arms may fall off tomorrow, I decided to go big and use 10kg weights Confused

KanyesVest · 16/06/2015 22:11

Btw Ann, what's the core/flex workout you do?

AnnPerkins · 17/06/2015 11:14

I've been doing this one: There might be better ones, particularly from , but I'm enjoying seeing how much I've improved on this one.

KanyesVest · 17/06/2015 21:21

Thanks Ann, that looks good, I'll give it a go tomorrow. I got through boot camp this morning and a very easy boxing class tonight. Rest day tomorrow, I think.

AnnPerkins · 17/06/2015 21:59

Hope you like it. Boot camp and boxing is impressive.

I just did Jessica tonight. I'm definitely getting stronger and more flexible.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 18/06/2015 20:14

30DS L2D4 - finding it hard going. I think there are a couple of moves I need to change before I injure myself.

KanyesVest · 18/06/2015 21:13

Too tired and sore to do anything today, so having a chocfest rest day. Well done keeping up with the good fight, Harry!

AnnPerkins · 19/06/2015 09:34

Well done Harry. Hope you're feeling better Kanye.

I ran two miles in my new running shoes. It was very warm but a nice breeze so I quite enjoyed it actually.

KanyesVest · 19/06/2015 18:08

I ate everything that stayed still yesterday, so feeling great today, Ann, thanks Smile How were your new running shoes?

We had circuits at bootcamp this morning, not pretty.

AnnPerkins · 19/06/2015 23:20

Nice one Kanye Grin

My new shoes seem ok - nice and bouncy.

Did my Jessica workout tonight.

KanyesVest · 20/06/2015 11:52

I did parkrun this morning. I came last. LAST! I know I'm slow, but god, that's not good, is it? Is it too early for a consoling g&t? Going to spend a couple of hours in the garden today too, at least I know I gran beat weeds Hmm

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 21/06/2015 10:10

We'll done Kanyes - you were still ahead of everyone who intended to run, but wasn't motivated enough to get there arse along to the park (I'm definitely guilty of this).

I've not done terribly well in the last couple of days. Nothing to show for Friday or Saturday. However, I did manage to do 30DS L2D5 this morning, so hopefully back on track.

I also weighed myself - I've lost 4.5lb since the beginning of June, so the increases level of exercise is having some effect.

AnnPerkins · 22/06/2015 11:51

Well done Kanyes. It doesn't matter where you come, you went out and ran 3.1 miles on Saturday morning when half the country isn't even up and dressed yet.

It's nice to see that Juneathon is making a difference isn't it Harry? I don't weigh myself but I can see the weight has gone a little from my outer thighs and my core definitely feels stronger. I've wanted to eat more healthily too and have swapped sandwiches and crisps for Ryvita and salad at lunchtimes.

Sadly I've been struggling with pains in my shins when running. I did 3 miles on Saturday morning then spent the rest of the day at a local festival. Yesterday evening I felt like doing absolutely nothing but forced myself to do Jessica, then rewarded myself afterwards with strawberries and honey yogurt.

Only nine more days of Juneathon to go. Let's make them count people!
