Anyone planning to do Juneathon this year? Run, or do some other form of exercise every day during June and then blog, tweet or post to the Juneathon Facebook group about it.

juneathon.com/rules.html

I'm hoping to give it a go to give me a kick up the back-side exercise wise and maybe combine it with making a few more healthy choices to streamline a bit for summer! I'm hoping to do 3/4x running, 1x swimming and 2/3x yoga/DVD/weights/floor work at home.

I did 30DS L1D8 yesterday (not enough time for an extra circuit£ and D9 today (too tired for an extra circuit). I'm travelling tomorrow, so will probably have a rest day.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 26/07/2015 14:11

Having had a rest day yesterday I really went for it this morning:
30DS L1D10
6W6P L1D2
KB&T L1D1

I'm now resting until tomorrow evening Grin

KanyesVest · 26/07/2015 20:00

Wowza Harry, have your arms and legs fallen off yet?!? Well done.

I got out for a run yesterday morning, just 5km, but good to get away from the madness for a little bit. Poor DS was really sick last night and today, so it wasn't a great birthday for him, poor little thing, and needless to say, I didn't get to do any sort of exercise. I've eaten a lot of cake though!

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 27/07/2015 19:24

Arms and legs OK - although my bum is aching a bit today (and I definitely felt a bit stiff when I got up this morning).

Warm-up today was 30DS L2D1, followed by Ri30 L1D3 as a main circuit.

KanyesVest · 28/07/2015 10:05

I'm in complete awe Harry, well done.

I didn't run to my class last night . The weather was absolutely brutal (we lit the fire on Sunday it was so wintery here) and I just couldn't face being cold and damp. It was a kettlebells class, which was less strenuous than I feared, but I'm feeling it today. Hoping to get out for a run later today. I have my 10km on Monday (bank holiday here) so I might have an easy enough week this week and try some of the stretching dvds/you tubers instead.

AnnPerkins · 28/07/2015 10:10

Sorry to hear your son was ill on his birthday, Kanye Sad.

Harry, you've really been going for it. You're both putting me to shame. I didn't do any videos over the weekend, although I did run 5 miles on Saturday night - my furthest distance for years.

I was going to go out again tonight but DH has to go out until quite late so won't get a chance. Have been awake since 4.30am because DS appeared in our bed and promptly went back to sleep again with a loudly whistling nostril Angry

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 28/07/2015 21:24

Today I did 30DS L2D2 and 6W6P L1D3. I had a break of a couple of hours in between - I think it hurts more this way than doing the circuits back to back Confused

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 29/07/2015 18:57

I felt really stressed when I got home this evening - I'm feeling much better now though.

Tonight's circuits were 30DS L2D3 & Ri30 L1D4.

KanyesVest · 29/07/2015 21:03

Well done Harry, you're really flying the flag for us this week! I'm afraid I got nothing done yesterday and between work and DH being away, I'm not going to do anything today. I feel a bit twitchy about it actually! Looking forward to run tomorrow after I drop the children to nursery.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 29/07/2015 21:07

I have more time to exercise than usual at the moment. DH is very busy at work (he's home before I've gone to bed for the first time this week), and both DC are away on a PGL holiday. I suspect I'll manage less next week (by which time we'll be on to Augustathon).

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 30/07/2015 18:36

Day 4 on both of the circuits I did this evening (30DS L2D4 + 6W6P L1D4).

Going to grab a quick shower, and then hopefully head out for dinner with DH.

AnnPerkins · 31/07/2015 13:34

Harry, you are the undisputed champion of Julyathon. I have managed precisely no exercise this week. Have been so busy. I'm hoping to get out for a run tomorrow morning.

Here's hoping for a better August.

Have a nice weekend Harry and Kanye.

KanyesVest · 31/07/2015 20:55

Fair play, Harry, you're doing great. I managed a 30min run yesterday and a really tough circuits class this morning - I feel sick from all the ab work!

Hope you get your run tomorrow, Ann. I'm doing my 10km on Monday (bank holiday here) so I'm going to do some stretching for the next couple of days, I think and pretend I need to conserve my energies Wink

We're going on holiday next week and the week after, so I will have a slow start to Augustathon. Then again, a run might be a good excuse to avoid the in-laws Hope you both have a lovely weekend.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 31/07/2015 22:57

I did 30DS L2D5 and Ri30 L1D5 today. And then drove 3 hours to Shrewsbury (have to pock the DC up tomorrow).

I'm planning a rest day tomorrow before (hopefully) launching into Augustathon on Sunday.

KanyesVest · 01/08/2015 18:55

Hope you enjoy the family reunion Harry Smile

I am in a hideous amount of pain after yesterday's circuits...Definitely a rest day today. I can hardly brush my hair, so I hope I can lift a wine glass after the monsters are in bed!!

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 02/08/2015 14:02

They're back - I've just hung out the 7th load of washing, and put the 8th in the machine.

This morning I did:
30DS L2D6
30DS L3D1
6W6P L1D5
I can really feel my abs! I'm going to rest until tomorrow evening, and enjoy the sun by hanging out yet more laundry

AnnPerkins · 03/08/2015 14:29

How did your 10k go Kanye?

You've both put me to shame with your recent efforts. I ran 5 miles on Saturday but did nothing else. I'm very conscious of my impending holiday at the end of the month so will try to get back into Juneathon ways.

KanyesVest · 03/08/2015 17:20

The run went well! I managed the whole thing without stopping other than for water at 5km, which is a first. I also did it in 4 min quicker than my June 10k, putting me under 74mins, which I was really thrilled about. I managed to get blisters though, which hasn't happened before, so I need to figure that out for next time. You're great doing 5miles just for a run, Ann. I need to get up to that kind of distance on a regular basis.

Harry have you emerged from the laundry yet?!? Hope you have the great drying we have here at the moment Smile

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 03/08/2015 19:27

I'm impressed with all the running - I doubt I could manage more than 2 or 3 miles these days.

I've caught up on the laundry (the warm, sunny & windy weather yesterday was perfect). I did 10 loads in 24 hours.

I did two of the shorter circuits this evening as I was pushed for time: 30DS L2D7 & L3D2.

KanyesVest · 04/08/2015 18:35

Wow, Harry, that's an impressive amount of washing! I did three loads the other day and thought I was great.

Got out for a short run this morning, only 25mins. I don't know how much I'll get to do over the next 10 days while we're away, but I'll check in when I can.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 04/08/2015 20:11

Today I did 30DS L2D8, followed by 6W6P L1D6 (at least I think those are the correct days for each level - I'm starting to lose track).

DH is having a go at 30DS L1 - I think he's finding it harder than he anticipated even with my v.light weights Grin

AnnPerkins · 05/08/2015 10:39

Well done on your 10k, Kanye. A PB too!

And ten loads of washing must be some kind of PB as well Harry! You're doing so well with 30DS. And now your DH as well!

I ran 5 miles again last night but I've done nothing inbetween runs. Very pleased with the way my running is going though. I've just entered a 10k in early October so will start a 10k training plan this week. A core/flex workout would be beneficial as well so there's even more incentive for me to get off my arse every night.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 05/08/2015 20:40

Tonight I did 30DS L2D9 & L3D2.

I also made rice pudding and experimental plum cake.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 06/08/2015 20:19

I can report that the experimental plum cake tastes very nice (even if it looks a bit of a mess). This is confirmed by both DC Wink

I had to force myself to exercise this evening (it would have been so easy not to bother). I did 30DS L2D10 and 6W6P L1D7.

I need to get back to Ri30 - I've been avoiding it this week. Maybe tomorrow...

AnnPerkins · 07/08/2015 09:46

Mmm experimental plum cake Envy

I'm avoiding cake at the moment due to aforementioned holiday, I had to watch Bake Off with a large glass of red wine instead.

I have done two evenings of Jessica. Due to reemergence of headaches I've had to shelve the running until the increased meds take effect.

We're off to the south west to visit our best friends this weekend and the weather forecast is fab. Can't wait.

I hope the forecast is the same for you two. Have fun.
