Bloody hell - that 7 min Davina exercise DVD

It works!

I've been at it a week. Before that, did fuck all exercise for YEARS. Ended up with a bad knee every time I tried running etc so gave up.

This was a last ditch attempt to stop my body basically falling off, and I was attracted by the fact it would all be done in seven minutes and at least I could tell myself I'd done something.

It actually frigging works.

(Promise I don't work for Davina. Booble plate, river of sweetcorn, cube of poo, pombears, elderly Korean lady.)

But if there is anyone who was like me, who hates exercise and just generally CBA with gyms etc, this is cracking.

If you're down it lifts your mood loads, I've found.

Well, did my legs earlier and have told the rest of the household I'm doing this. My plan to do two sessions didn't come off but I'll be up bright and early tomorrow to do my legs again and may double up by doing another session in the evening.

Whatever I'm doing now, it's more than I've done for a while so it's all good.

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 20:06

Well done, Amazon.

Another Little Difference:

My jaw is sharper.
My calves are rock hard.
I have the beginnings of biceps.

Jesus, I sound like Vin Diesel...

Stevie, you are now my inspiration. I too want to see these changes, especially the jaw Grin although I'm going to have to do much more than I'm doing now. Well done to you!

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 20:14

Thanks, Amazon. It's you lot that's keeping me looking out for the changes, so you lot inspire me too.

I honestly haven't done much at all. Today was the most I've ever done; warm up, fat burn, abs and stretch.

I haven't gone near legs or tone and sculpt yet. Daren't Grin

zippy - I have some whiplash from a car accident last year and can't do some of the stretches. There are points on some of the routines where Ed says not to do a certain move if you have back problems.

ItsaTenfromDen · 22/02/2015 20:32

I have one painful bum cheek, just the one! :)

Donthackmenow · 22/02/2015 20:53

Just done my first workout- the fat burner. I'm impressed, I was out of breath Blush! I think I will try and do one workout in the morning and one in the evening.

Ledkr · 22/02/2015 22:01

I keep getting outbid on ebay for the DVD and then thinking it's probably one of you lot Grin
Can't understand people going up to about a tenner when you can get it new for 12 Hmm

FairyPenguin · 22/02/2015 22:02

Zippyandbungle - I have lower back issues and am doing the 15 min fit DVD. Most is fine, I just have to be careful on the cardio where they jump from one side to the other. I have to step. Jogging on the spot or jumping straight is ok. I am doing it all barefoot though which might be where I'm going wrong. Not keen on having to buy new trainers though!

HelenaVagBasket · 22/02/2015 22:19

Just did box fit and fitness test.

Fairy I bought new trainers in Tesco, they were only £15 and do the job! I am finding it easier when I wear them.

WhenMarnieWasThere · 22/02/2015 23:20

Waah. .. i wanted to do a different combo, but the dvd controls are out of battery and the buttons on the machine only navigate up and down. I had to do the warm up from memory then the tone and whatever it was and the ultimate fat burner. Then stopped as I didn't have much time spare.

I am def liking the fact you can pick it up and fit it on easily to a few spare mins.

And I managed the press ups. ..go me!

Batteries def on shopping list for tomorrow.

AmazonGrace · 23/02/2015 07:10

7:10am warm up and fat burner done and dusted. Loved it!

FairyPenguin · 23/02/2015 07:48

Oh thanks Helena. I might have a look tomorrow. I didn't think it would make much difference but maybe it does!

StillaChocoholic · 23/02/2015 08:42

Just done fat burner, abs, box fit, tone and sculpt and total stretch.
Almost punched my nearly 2 year old during box fit, oops. Also had to pause when I could hear thud thud thud down the stairs, nearly 2 year old had gone to get more weights. Feeling good though. I could definitely feel it in my arms and core this morning when I got up.

LooseAtTheSeams · 23/02/2015 09:45

Hello, can I join in?
Just started the DVD today and did the fat burner. Couldn't believe it, but I could still feel it working after I collapsed on sofa with water! Mad hectic day tomorrow involving long walk up a steep hill so will come back to it on Wednesday and do fat burner again. Quite fancy the box fit as well but think I will add that next week!

stevienickstophat · 23/02/2015 10:20

Hello, Loose! Welcome to the thread!

Love the image of the two year old getting more weights. Sweet.

Well done Amazon - there's no way I'd be able to get out of bed earlier I the morning, so my exercises will have to happen in the evenings now I'm back at work.

I'm going to have a bash at warm up, fat burner, tone and sculpt and stretch tonight. Wish me luck!

Marnie - kudos for the press ups.

Sports bra came today, weights despatched, downloaded to iPad and alarm set for tomorrow morning.

What do people recommend to start with to ease me into it?

Jools I started with warm up and fat burner.

Abs is good.

The dynamic stretch one is lovely - lots of yoga and Pilates moves. You feel great afterwards.

Good luck and well done!

Marking my spot! DVD ordered. I just need a bra now!

winsomewitch · 23/02/2015 16:57

I'm another one who's on day 4 of Davina having seen this thread.

The front of my legs are killing, i cant even bend to sit on the loo without cringing so i'm refraining from the legs and bum section for a couple of days and concentrating on my flabby abs!

I love the 7 min bursts of exercise, just when i think i cant carry on it stops and Davina congratulates me so i dont feel i've failed Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 23/02/2015 17:42

Oh Lordy! I marked my place on here at the beginning of last week but have just done my first workout. I decided to get half term out of the way so I could get stuck in properly. So, I have done: the warm up and fat burner, box fit and tone and sculpt with some stretches at the end. The fat burner was brilliant. Harder than the shred, I thought. I shall definitely do it tomorrow. The tone and sculpt was good too. Not too sure about the box fit. I struggled to co ordinate and punch to the correct side so had a job keeping up Confused. I kept going though! I might try one of the abs or legs sections tomorrow.
