Bloody hell - that 7 min Davina exercise DVD

It works!

I've been at it a week. Before that, did fuck all exercise for YEARS. Ended up with a bad knee every time I tried running etc so gave up.

This was a last ditch attempt to stop my body basically falling off, and I was attracted by the fact it would all be done in seven minutes and at least I could tell myself I'd done something.

It actually frigging works.

(Promise I don't work for Davina. Booble plate, river of sweetcorn, cube of poo, pombears, elderly Korean lady.)

But if there is anyone who was like me, who hates exercise and just generally CBA with gyms etc, this is cracking.

Amazon - no! No feeling bad! You're allowed a day off. This is meant to be fun!

Ten - you're putting me to shame Grin

You're right Stevie, tomorrow will be a good day to do two lots, will need to burn off my takeaway and wine Grin

stevienickstophat · 21/02/2015 19:17

I've just eaten two brownies, so I'll be doing two lots tomorrow too.

And in other news, DP is joining me Grin

I have been doing it in some old pj's and bare feet. Bought some new trainers today and I will need to get some gym type clothes to wear, all my old stuff is too big now.
If anyone is looking to diet too I can recommend the 5:2, I lost 1 stone in 1 month.

temporarilyjerry · 22/02/2015 07:33

I bought this on ebay last night so hopefully will be joining in soon.

SweepTheHalls · 22/02/2015 08:11

Warm up, fat burner and abs today, the back of my thighs are killing me today though! Day 2 here on the inspiration of this thread. I will stick to it!!!

McSmoke · 22/02/2015 08:59

Confession time...

I lied yesterday about the two bags of crisps...it was four, oh the shame! My name is McSmoke and I am a crispaholic.

Anyway, new day today. I have done the warm up, ultimate legs (wobblier than a jelly on a trampoline), abs and a short cooldown. I can't do the full cooldown as the cobra move will put my back into spasms and my wrists are weaker than a kitten (so no downward dog either).

I feel stronger and my tummy doesn't stick out quite as much as it did a week ago.

Tomorrow I am back in work after a week off, and I hope to get up at 6am to fit in my workouts. That will be the test, as I will need to fit in workout, shower, dry hair, make up, breakfast, kids' lunchboxes,my lunchbox, push kids out the door for the bus, walk to work and a cuppa before 8:30am. I shall report back...

StillaChocoholic · 22/02/2015 09:48

I downloaded it after reading this thread a couple of days ago and have finally motivated myself to do it. It was quite good actually, I like that the exercises are short and you can do what you want to basically. Fingers crossed I can motivate myself again tomorrow morning, although I should have spinning tomorrow evening.

AmazonGrace · 22/02/2015 11:25

Mcsmoke, I ate so much rubbish yesterday all washed down with too much wine Blush

Will get back onto it today and attempt two yes TWO sessions. This will 'out' me to both Dp & Ds and tbh I didn't want either of them to know. Can't have it all ways though.

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 12:33

Afternoon all!

I've just done warm up, fat burner, abs and total stretch. DP joined me for the first three sessions and I was pleased to see he looked a bit knackered. Not in a bad way, just in a 'it must be quite hard so it's not just me that's unfit' way.

I love the total stretch but I'm shockingly stiff.

Amazon, get them to join in! It made me work harder, funnily enough.

I've been following this thread and am about to download the DVD. I must be able to fit 7 mins into my life! I'm interested in starting the 5-2 diet too but am trying to pluck up the courage, maybe tomorrow will be the day...

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 13:00

I have to say, I haven't dieted, but doing the exercise has kind of made me want to eat better.

Baby steps...

don I can also recommend 5:2 I've lost 20lb in 7 weeks. Come over to the 5:2 thread - lots of support, encouragement and advice there.

Not done any work out since Thursday. Friday I was shopping all day for new shoes. Wore new shoes on Saturday and they've also made me find muscles I didn't know I had!

So back to it today. I can definitely feel a difference so can totally recommend the DVD combined with a new pair of shoes Grin

Ledkr · 22/02/2015 13:12

Id like to try the 5 2 but it scares the life out of me.
Did u do it on workdays or days off?

PeaceOfWildThings · 22/02/2015 13:30

If it scares you, then you can just try it for one day a week for a while, if that helps. I do it on the days when I'm not eating with other people as much.

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 13:31

New shoes??

I'm in! Grin

todays exercise, walked to work and back, 35 mins, Davina, warm up, ultimate fat burner, box fit, ultimate abs, stretches

Looking forward to my roast lamb dinner tonight:)

Has anyone found anything they don't like on the dvd? I don't like the stretch where you roll back with one leg crossed over the other, my body doesn't seem to want to do that:)

bryonyelf · 22/02/2015 17:21

Have ordered it.

Re the. 5:2, I have lost a stone since 5th January. Been off it last week as was on holiday but back to it tomorrow. You can actually eat quite a lot in 500 cals if you pick the right foods and drink a lot of water.

HRH008isback · 22/02/2015 17:27

Sooooo, i bought it, and i am starting tomorrow, also doing 4 hour body (protein and veg 6 days per week, 1 day off) stevienickstopthat thankyou for giving me a kick up the backside Grin

zippyandbungle · 22/02/2015 17:54

Anyone have back problems and doing this. I walk and do pilates but need to start cardio and this looks ideal but I'm a bit worried to start. You are all doing so well.

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 18:01

No kicks - I just wanted to marvel over the DVD! I'm chuffed to bits with the way everyone has embraced this.

I really struggle with one of the stretches where you have to kneel arch your body upwards with your hands on the floor behind you. I can barely get my bum off my heels. Gives me something to aim for though! Grin

I am waiting for my sister to go home tomorrow before I try it for the first time.

Will I wake up in agony as I haven't moved for ages?

Sallystyle · 22/02/2015 18:20

I used to be very into weight lifting, very heavy weights.

I kinda got depressed and gave it all up so have not exercised for a ages. I hate going back to square one :(

stevienickstophat · 22/02/2015 18:23

Just take it steady. Start slow and build yourself up. Good luck!
