Following on from ErrolTheDragon's October Shred thread:

Another month, another chance to start/restart/continue the 30 Day Shred, or similar - ripped in 30, NMTZ, whatever your preferred form of torture exercise with Jillian you're welcome here for support, advice and motivation!

30 day shred - Level 3 day 3 done and a lot easier today! used a yoga mat which I think has made a world of difference and my elbows are very grateful for.

Thanks Errol

L1D3 and L1D4 completed, high fives all round!

but I have noticed that my tummy looks a bit like a bum, not sure if it's the line of stretch marks going down from my belly button or if it resembles two cheeks iyswim (noticed it in my reflection when getting changed last night and too scared to have a proper look!)

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2013 09:18

L4D3 of Ri30 done.

FaithTheVampireSlayer · 25/11/2013 09:59

Ok, confession. We were out all day yesterday (DH did a half marathon) and I failed to shred. I've done L1D9 today but it was tougher to motivate myself! I'll avoid skipping a day again.

WillColbert · 25/11/2013 10:11

I don't think there's any harm in having rest days Faith. I usually take the weekends off and I see it as recovery time.

L2D4 done. I'm sticking with Natalie (except for plank moves!).

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 25/11/2013 10:28

Aargh I had weekend off and failed to shred this morning due to early rising munchkins! Feel a bit anxious having had three days off (and pizza) but will be on it tomorrow I hope.Well done everyone else.

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 25/11/2013 10:57

Faith, I also take rest days

I found trying to do it every day too much, but skipping the odd day or two made me eager to get back on it

Will, plank moves are only doable now for me on my 3rd time around, they are killers!

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 25/11/2013 11:00

Elle, shredding 4 days out of 7 puts you into the high end of moderate exercise bracket when calculating your BMI etc, keep it up :-D

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2013 11:23

The Ri30 says you should take a rest day or two per week. I never do it on the weekends, and I had half-term off - no problem! I may have a break next week too. I think motivation-wise its best if you can plan days (or weeks) off so that you don't feel guilty about not doing it. Just so long as you also plan starting again and do it!

deeplybaffled · 25/11/2013 21:03

Level one, day four done. Last effort for a few days as badminton matches tomorrow and Wednesday and a night off and meal out Thursday, which may undo all the good work!

conquita · 25/11/2013 22:04

I did it! I am back, level 3 but not sure which day as I have taken a fair amount of time off, but I am back and will do level 3 all this week and next week start back at level 1. I don't know what has happened to me but last night I could not wait to wake up and shred! well done everyone, and thanks for the encouragement.

Yay Conquita! Welcome back.
I did L1D1 this morning, it felt okay surprisingly. Wonder whether I'll be John Wayne walking this time round!

ErrolTheDragon · 26/11/2013 10:04

L4D4 of Ri30 done.

I don't remember having those awful legs the second time around, Elle - one motivator to keep doing these things!

SecretLimonadeDrinker · 26/11/2013 10:49

L1D5 complete!

giraffeseatpineapples · 26/11/2013 12:17

can I join in, trying to get 30 day shred done by christmas. L1 d6 done today. Hoping that posting on here will help me to stick with it and keep motivated!

ErrolTheDragon · 26/11/2013 12:23

Welcome Giraffes - you should be able to get it done if you stick with it.

conquita · 26/11/2013 22:48

Level 3 day something done!

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 27/11/2013 07:11

L1D2 done. I think L1 is quite tough on the legs, but don't seem to be staggering about this time like I did last time (when sitting down on the toilet was a mission!) Determined to get it done again by Xmas but that might be a but optimistic.

ErrolTheDragon · 27/11/2013 09:02

L4D5 of Ri30 done.

Elle - I don't think there's quite 30 days left before xmas, and you do need to factor in a few rest days - maybe as its your second time through you should count up how many days you can realistically fit in and divide them up between the levels?

WillColbert · 27/11/2013 09:26

L2D5 done.

Welcome Giraffes - I have found posting on this thread to be a great motivator!

FaithTheVampireSlayer · 27/11/2013 11:45

Hello giraffes, welcome on board!

Well this morning marks L1 D10 completed. Yay me! Guess I'll be moving on to L2 tomorrow. Only issue is I do it while DD naps and she's cut this nap to 45 minutes so I'm a bit tight for time! Ah well I will persevere because I can't believe how much progress I made from day 1 to 10! I didn't even think I was going to die today Grin

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 27/11/2013 12:03

Welcome giraffes :)
Yes you're right Errol (maths obviously not my strong point this morning) will get there when I get there. Maybe by new year then, then can tie it in with whatever resolutions i make!

YoucancallmeQueenBee · 27/11/2013 13:10

Hello there. I'm a real newbie. Have done L1 for two days now. Am so delighted to find something I can do in 20 mins.

I not bothered about weight loss but I'm really keen to see a change in body tone & definition as well as a general improvement in fitness - those of you who've done it before, do you really notice a difference?

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 27/11/2013 13:22

H

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 27/11/2013 13:25

Oops mad phone.
Hi Queen Bee :) I'm fairly new too, just started my second round of the Shred. I feel fitter and healthier and more importantly (for me) mentally happier too. I've lost half a stone ish but toning is more important for me too, and will focus on losing my extra pounds when I've finished breastfeeding. I think my bum looks firmer (slightly) and my arms a bit more defined. Wish I'd taken pics so could be more objective.
Good luck :)

ErrolTheDragon · 27/11/2013 14:55

Well done faith, and hello Queen Bee .
I noticed a real difference in the tone and strength esp of legs and arms quite quickly. Jeans and trousers that were tight aren't any more. Generally fitter and stronger. Smile
