Following on from ErrolTheDragon's October Shred thread:

Another month, another chance to start/restart/continue the 30 Day Shred, or similar - ripped in 30, NMTZ, whatever your preferred form of torture exercise with Jillian you're welcome here for support, advice and motivation!

30 day shred - Level 3 day 3 done and a lot easier today! used a yoga mat which I think has made a world of difference and my elbows are very grateful for.

Well done SLD Smile

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 20/11/2013 22:45

L3 d9 this morning. Knees are a bit achy, think its from attempting rock star jumps! Well done all for your hard work. Cross with myself for eating like a hog again but constantly hungry, oh well sure the exercise is worth it anyway! Think when I'm done I'll go back to the start, now in in the habit I want to keep it up.

Oops sorry mad phone

ErrolTheDragon · 20/11/2013 22:55

Elle - best swap the rock stars for something with a bit less impact tomorrow if its buggering up your knees - you want to be fit to start your reboot!Wink Nearly there!

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 20/11/2013 23:17

Think I will Errol, what cardio do you recommend? (Not double jump rope my pelvic floor won't cope!)

ErrolTheDragon · 20/11/2013 23:28

Um, can't remember exactly what the shred had ... I haven't had knee problems so not sure which are bad or good. I suppose maybe the boxing as that keeps your feet on the ground?

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 21/11/2013 08:44

The skater move from L2 is a good one, and might help to strengthen up you knees

The rock star jumps are pretty brutal, I only managed 4 in one session

WillColbert · 21/11/2013 09:32

I couldn't do the rock star jumps either (Achilles problem) so I did jumping jacks instead.

L2D3 done!

ErrolTheDragon · 21/11/2013 10:26

L4D3 of Ri30 done - mostly not too bad - though I suspect if I had a wall mirror I'd think otherwise.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/11/2013 10:27

Typo - obv L4D1.

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 21/11/2013 10:29

Errol :-D

I can't look at myself at all when in such a hot sweaty mess exercising

You're doing so well, have you got a plan for when you've finished this one?

ErrolTheDragon · 21/11/2013 13:14

I wouldn't like to watch myself exercise either, but I sort of feel I should check what I'm actually doing when I'm supposed to be in a 'down dog'

Well, I may not do the full 10 days on L4 (its only meant to be a week on each level anyway) - and have a week off at the start of Dec - DD will be away on German exchange trip so I won't need to get up early, and we might possibly take a few days off work.

After that, might do the Ri30 again, or maybe brave one of the other DVDs that came with it (Killer Buns and Thighs, Extreme Shed and Shred).

FaithTheVampireSlayer · 21/11/2013 13:44

Sounds like people are going great guns!

I've just completed L1D6! Definitely getting easier, you were telling me the truth, you're right Errol. I'm even managing to do the exercises at a deeper level (somewhere between Anita and Natalie!). I'm still struggling to do the proper push ups but I did manage nearly 30 seconds today! :)

ErrolTheDragon · 21/11/2013 16:10

I'm still struggling to do the proper push ups
I still can't do them so I'm impressed!

deeplybaffled · 21/11/2013 21:15

L1D2 completed and have jelly leg syndrome to prove it!

ErrolTheDragon · 22/11/2013 08:58

L4D2 of Ri30 done. And under 60kg/9 and a half stone for the first time I can remember in ages!Smile Which given that a bit more of it is muscle than before I'm quite chuffed about.

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 22/11/2013 09:04

Well done, deeply

I've been doing L2, but since this is my 3rd time round, I'm out-Natalie-ing Natalie and have bum cheeks of concrete. They hurt so much yesterday, but not so much today.

It is so worth the effort though. I used to quietly shrug off Jillian's comments about going jeans shopping. I ditched the denim a couple of years ago, none would fit and they looked awful.

I found a pair at the back of the wardrobe in the week, bought them about 4 years ago and I remember putting them on but surviving half a day at most before changing into my comfy leggings. I got far too fat to do them up, but never binned them.

They are now loose, but look fantastic! Well, that's what DH says ;)

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 22/11/2013 09:05

Errol,

Well done!

ErrolTheDragon · 22/11/2013 09:08

Wow, result! Do we do high fives? Grin

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 22/11/2013 09:11

I think if a high5 was ever appropriate, it's here!

Good job! :-D

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 22/11/2013 09:19

Well done all and high fives! I did L3 D11 today (extra day cos only managed two circuits yesterday before DS woke up) so will be trying to keep up with Natalie a bit more when I start L1 again tomorrow. I've enjoyed shredding and feel so much better in mood when I've done it, wil definitely keep it up. I think I've lost about half a stone and still have jelly mummy tummy but there's some sort of abs starting to be visible underneath I think!

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 22/11/2013 09:37

High5 for Elle too!

deeplybaffled · 23/11/2013 12:21

Level 1, day 3 done...getting fractionally easier, but only fractionally! Still no fan of anterior raises with side lunges :(

FaithTheVampireSlayer · 23/11/2013 13:00

deeply I'm still no fan and I'm on day 8! :)

L1D8 done today. I am definitely finding it easier. I did have to be careful though because my knee is a bit sore on one side so I didn't push it too hard. I do think I'll be ready to move up to level 2 in 3 days. I'm pleased with my progress.
