Did you marry your university boyfriend?

I have just been looking at the Oxbridge thread and noticed that a lot of relationships survived. Is this peculiar to these universities?
I'm thinking that on graduating they all stayed in the SE or London.

Dh and I were at Bristol together. I know quite a few other couples who met at university (lots of different ones)

not me, I did have a child with him though but we are no longer together.

Yes. DH and I were at Cambridge together - same college.

Yes...married..two children...sadly divorced..

I did - although it was in South Africa, not Oxbridge.

I'm not married but I began university in 2002. I met a very good male friend, dated him for a few months until he announced he was gay! Despite this, and me moving away, we maintained a good friendship over the phone.

Ten years later I've moved back to out old city and we've picked up the friendship like I never left and I know we'll be lifelong friends.

yes, married 14 years, 3dc. Still very happy, we moved away from uni for jobs.

He wasn't at university but I met him when I was. Very town meets gown.

Met dh at uni (didn't go out with him during the course), in Cardiff

DH Oxbridge, me London - although started going out during A-levels

DH and I. Imperial. Followed by Edinburgh, then Leeds, so didn't stay in SE. Have steadily moved further south though...

No, I met my husband 24 hours after completing my final uni exam

Technically, no, in that we didn't get together until the week after term ended.

And, yes, it was Oxbridge.

Yes I did - I met DH halfway through my first year at uni, at a pubquiz at the student bar. But it definitely wasn't Oxbridge though - it was uni in New Zealand!

We celebrated our ten year anniversary this week!

Met at uni... still together 14 years later, married for 10yrs and 4 DCs. Not Oxbridge though!

Not married but I met DP in Freshers Week at Leeds Uni.

11 years and 1xDd ago this month!

Met my DH in first lecture on our course at Cardiff, been together 17 years this year.

Durham - he dropped out.

Yes, and we got married in (his) college within weeks of his finals.

He wasn't my only university boyfriend though. The first one was, I realise now, a bit of a twat.

It weird actually to see that written down we were 18 when we started going out and now 35... I've been with him almost half my life!

Yes I did. Well very recently after six years together.
