I'm not sure whether it's a bit early in the year for ebaying but I still have mountains of stuff to get rid of!!. Most of the over 99p stuff I had has sold but there is still a lot of things here that might be of interest to others.

After feeling a bit fed of ebay before Christmas I seem to have recovered a bit of enthusiasm for it again after receiving some lovely feedback on items that I didn't expect (I need to have more confidence in what I'm selling!!).

Anyone else want to join me?

Well done notcitrus.

Faulty video cam just sold for £18. Think i nearly have enough for laptop screen now as i haven't used paypal money for postage.

Have some of DD2's trousers to list all around 4-5 yrs.

Tortoise · 22/01/2010 10:17

My bits end later, 2 have a bid.
Laptop screen should be here today/tomorrow so i will list more at the weekend.

mygirllollipop · 25/01/2010 10:36

Having a bit of a problem with an ex-potential buyer

Tortoise · 25/01/2010 22:08

Latest listed items.

Have a couple of items to re-list too. Better do that now!

notcitrus · 29/01/2010 13:07

Sold a bunch of vintage school stories so total is over £150 and they were very easy to pack.
Less good is that fishtank light rig didn't include light bulbs or correct fittings, so that's pretty much the whole lot gone.

Have listed some computer bits, not sure what I've got left. Seeing as books can't charge p+p now I don't want to list heavy ones on the offchance.

Tortoise · 29/01/2010 13:18

Have a few bits with a bid and some with watchers. Hopefully they sell.

Not sure what i can list next, not much left to sell!

mogs0 · 30/01/2010 13:45

The last time I started one of these threads I ended up listing nothing at all! 3 weeks after starting this one, I still haven't listed anything .

Ds is happily glued to the Wii so I'm seizing the opportunity to get listing!! I wrote out a huge list of items the other day that need to go on and have photos of most of it already from before Christmas so there are no excuses!!

Well done to everyone whose sold so far!!

Tort - I just bid on one of your items!!

Mogs Get that listing done!!! and thanks for bid .

Have 23 items listed, at the moment 9 will sell, 2 have 2 bids so fingers crossed for more!

mogs0 · 30/01/2010 16:01

Finally, I have relisted something!!

I have just tried to check for updates on TL and it has disappeared and won't let me open it anymore . I might try re-starting to see if that helps. And I was so looking forward to spending the rest of the afternoon listing .

Made £23.95 tonight! Not as much as i had hoped for. Plenty went unsold, will re-list tomorrow night.

notcitrus · 01/02/2010 23:05

Have just broken the £200 barrier - but loads of things I haven't got feedback on so I always expect the worst until a month or so expires. And someone wants me to relist one of the computer parts.

Was tempted by a giraffe outfit tortoise but won't have child big enough for it for a good few years... anyone for my superbaby costume?

maduggar · 02/02/2010 07:19

I have listed lots of 12 - 18 months boys stuff (next, Timberland Molo, No Added Sugar), plus soem older girls bench & Monsoon

here

maduggar · 02/02/2010 07:19

For got to add, im saving for my wedding dress! All my proceeds are going towards that

MumGoneCrazy · 02/02/2010 12:51

Im on the look out for girls spring clothes in sizes 3-6 months, 2-3yrs and 3-4yrs and also boys 9-10yrs clothes if anyone has any.

Sister has invited us all on holiday with her as we are skint but cant afford brand new clothes as well as spending money

Tortoise · 03/02/2010 09:52

Ecko coat sold last night. Forgot it was ending! Didn't sell last time. This time it sold for £8.

MumGoneCrazy · 03/02/2010 17:37

I only started selling on ebay last week and so far ive made £39 and have another item that ends in 20hrs thats on £25 at the mo

Dumbledoresgirl · 03/02/2010 17:43

Wish I could join in with this thread with a serious expectation of making even half of £250. I have had a few items on ebay for 3 weeks now. I have sold maybe 2/3 of those items and I have made something in the region of...................£20.

I wish I knew the secret of making larger sums of money because even before Christmas when I was selling good second hand toys, I hardly made anything. What are you people selling and do you make it a mini business?

MumGoneCrazy · 03/02/2010 18:13

We're trying to sell our old ps2 games and dvd's and we had some xbox live points and a gold membership for xbox that went very quickly

Tortoise · 03/02/2010 22:01

Dumbledore Just selling mainly kids clothes at the moment. And a DS game which has ben re-listed tonight for the 3rd time! Think the £4.99 start is the problem but going to give it one last chance at that price then will lower it!
Really am running out of things to sell though. Planning on sorting DD's room this weekend but don't think there is much there i can sell!

Think i might sell my Babycham shoes/trainers which i love but they really are too small. I have tried quite a few times to wear them but my feet are so squashed they hurt after a little while. Doesn't look like they sell very well either!

BustleInYourHedgerow · 04/02/2010 09:56

Hi everyone, very new to this so be patient!

I'll be happy if I make E10 before Easter!
So far I'm just testing the water with some baby clothes,

here

I'm going to put some X-box games up tommorrow too!

Dumbledoresgirl · 04/02/2010 10:25

Am I right in thinking the free p&p on dvds is being abandoned soon? In which case, I might have some children's dvds to sell, and I have loads of books but I don't think books sell well on ebay. At the moment, the free p&p stops me from trying to sell the dvds.

Tortoise · 05/02/2010 12:32

\not sure about DVDs, i thought it was accessories which was going to stop having free postage. Will be a set postage limit though.
Also clothes will have a set postage limit. Not keen on that tbh, just hope it is a sensible limit!

I gave up listing books because of free postage.

notcitrus · 05/02/2010 13:05

Just listed some more computer bits, mini perfume, and a DVD set. And relisted most of what didn't go last time round. But other DVDs can go down the charity shop as no-one buys them (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Looked at the details of "we're stopping free postage" - some categories are OK but for some it still won't help as the limit is 1 or 2 quid which if you include 75p recorded delivery is almost nothing!

Will have a broken mobile phone to sell soon - they do a lot better on Ebay than Envirophone etc. Only MrNC thinks he can mix it with identical broken phone to make 1 working one and a broken one, which would be cool. Not a mini-business at all, just decluttering. Techy stuff seems to sell well, also perfume, and clothes of well-known brands especially in large sizes.

mogs0 · 05/02/2010 18:18

Well done everyone! I'm still struggling along with 3 my re-listed items - no bids yet either. I have another weekend with no plans this weekend so will try and list something tomorrow.

MumGoneCrazy · 05/02/2010 18:44
