I'm not sure whether it's a bit early in the year for ebaying but I still have mountains of stuff to get rid of!!. Most of the over 99p stuff I had has sold but there is still a lot of things here that might be of interest to others.

After feeling a bit fed of ebay before Christmas I seem to have recovered a bit of enthusiasm for it again after receiving some lovely feedback on items that I didn't expect (I need to have more confidence in what I'm selling!!).

Anyone else want to join me?

Hmm, I thought I posted a message earlier, but since it is not here I obviously didn't press post!!

Well done Tort, I'll post them out tomorrow, I have some stuff ending tonight too, so i will get everything all off in a oner tomorrow.

I had someone win shoes last night that they need for their wedding on Sat, but as they don't have paypal they are going to send the cash recorded delivery! I have warned them that i work during the week, so may not be in to sign for it and it will hold things up if i need to find time to get to the sorting office to collect it!

Although, I am actually off sick today, have a cough, cold and temp, so if i still feel like this tomorrow, I will take a day off, so i might be in to get the recorded delivery....

ElizabethWakefield · 18/05/2010 11:34

Grrr I have just received payment from the shoe women, well when i say payment she has sent me an envelope with 75p in it which doesn't even cover what she paid for the shoes never mind postage!

I will email her, but not really sure what I should do, as she now wont get them by Saturday, but I don't really want to make a complete loss on them either.

Tortoise · 18/05/2010 12:46

EW How strange. How much were they? Maybe she forgot to put the £note in?

I really need to get around to pulling out the stuff in the cupboard and do some listing! Could do with raising a good few £100 for a holiday this summer. Can't stand the thought of being here for the whole of the holidays!

ElizabethWakefield · 18/05/2010 13:57

I think she has forgotten to put in the notes (should have been another £3 in there) She has emailed back really apologetic and says she will send the rest of the money on.

To be honest, I think I will just post them out to her today, if she is getting married on Sat and has a young baby too, she is bound to be a bit stressed and if i don't get the £3 then I'm sure I'll live

I know what you mean Tort, if you could raise enough for a holiday, that would be great, I do sometimes think even when you can't be bothered with the whole thing the thought of the money keeps you going!! Well it does in my case anyway!

Tortoise · 18/05/2010 16:12

I think i would risk it too. I'm sure she will appreciate it.
It is such a faff to keep listing but, yes, it is worth it when you see the money in Paypal. I just spend nearly £30 on flip flops though They are the skechers tone ups. Ended up paying nearly new price! Oops!

ElizabethWakefield · 18/05/2010 16:44

I have just been to the post office and posted everything out (so your flip flops are on their way) I posted 14 parcels, it was empty when I went in, but there was only one person serving, so there was a big queue by the time I left

It's so easy to get carried away with bidding and end up spending more than you intended. I really fancy an ipod touch and have been watching a few but am worried about getting carried away and spending too much, when the money is meant for my holidays!

Tortoise · 18/05/2010 17:12

I know i will get a lot of use out of the flip flops (assuming they fit and are comfy!!) so not too worried. I was hoping to get some cheaper than that!!

Still have loads of V-smile stuff to list. Should get a good amount for it all. Games tend to go for around £5 each.

Tortoise · 18/05/2010 17:13

Meant to add, will let you know when DD's flip flops arrive. She will be thrilled.

ElizabethWakefield · 18/05/2010 20:27

Thanks, I hope she likes them

That's good about the V-smile, we have quite a lot of leapster/leap pad stuff, I might see how that sells.

In the mean time I have relisted and added a few more new things 33 items in total

I might take a break after this lot as I've now reached £600 which I set out to make for my holidays, but I still have fees to pay and lots more stuff to list, so will probably just keep on going!!

Tortoise · 20/05/2010 16:19

EW Flip flops arrived this morning. DD1 is thrilled with them .They are a perfect fit. Thank you.

ElizabethWakefield · 20/05/2010 17:59

Oh that's good, I'm pleased

Tortoise · 21/05/2010 16:53

Shame my Skechers flip flops don't fit as well as DD's do! Think i am going to sell them back on Ebay. Have now bought a pair a size smaller for less! Hope they fit!

I will have a pile of Peppa Pig toys to sell for a friend next week! And have sorted out DD2's summer clothes from the loft and will have a few bits to list from them.

ElizabethWakefield · 24/05/2010 20:41

Oh that's a shame about your own flip flops. Hope the smaller size are better.

I have been having computer problems, I seem to have loads of viruses, and need to get my PC fixed, so i think I might need to take an ebay break. I sold about £40 worth last night tho, so was quite happy with that

Tortoise · 26/05/2010 19:55

Size 7 flip flops fit perfectly. Now need to list the size 8's! Think i may just do a BIN so that i don't lose money.
I seem to have spent nearly all the money i had in paypal. Have some stuff to list this weekend though so must get on and do it this time!

ElizabethWakefield · 27/05/2010 15:06

That's good the other flip flops fit, BIn might be the best idea so you don't lose out, but you will have to pay more fees

My paypal account has also taken a bit of a hit as i bought myself an ipod touch

Tortoise · 06/06/2010 12:47

Going to start a new thread . Am thinking £400 by summer hols? May be a bit optimistic but would need at least that much to try and book a last minute break in the summer hols!
Will link to new thread once done.
