I'm not sure whether it's a bit early in the year for ebaying but I still have mountains of stuff to get rid of!!. Most of the over 99p stuff I had has sold but there is still a lot of things here that might be of interest to others.

After feeling a bit fed of ebay before Christmas I seem to have recovered a bit of enthusiasm for it again after receiving some lovely feedback on items that I didn't expect (I need to have more confidence in what I'm selling!!).

Anyone else want to join me?

Hope I'm not too late How is everyone doing?

I have to make some money for DS's birthday in a few weeks. Got some girls mini boden and some vintage toys.

Oh and if anyone wants to sell a cheap Nintendo DS I'll take it!

HellBent · 08/03/2010 21:56

Items listed here

ElizabethWakefield · 09/03/2010 16:58

Don't have a DS for sale, but I think DD was going to sell a few of her DS games, if you are looking for games too, HB? If so I'll let you know the names of the ones she no longer wants, I think she has completed them.

All my stuff ends in a few hours, my Brownie top has 18 watchers so hoping for a few last minute bids!

Tortoise · 09/03/2010 18:28

EW that coat is doing well. Might get more than i can pay. Shame as i like it.

I really should re-list bits tonight!

Tortoise · 09/03/2010 18:55

Went to bid in the last 20 secs and my laptop went really slow. Think i would have got it otherwise.

ElizabethWakefield · 09/03/2010 21:02

Oh no tortoise, that's a shame

Done not too badly tonight, made about £40 from 10 items. The Brownie top went for £5.50, thought I might have got a little more as there was 21 watchers by the end. Will re-list some things tomorrow and try to get some more on.

HellBent · 09/03/2010 21:09

Oh that would be great EW, I wouldn't need them for a couple of weeks. Don't go to any trouble!

ElizabethWakefield · 09/03/2010 21:33

It's no problem, DD was asking me the other day if I could sell them for her, so she'll know which ones it is. She's in bed now, but I will ask her tomorrow and let you know

ElizabethWakefield · 11/03/2010 19:08

Sorry forgot to come back and tell you the games!

They are kim possible this one and Zack and Cody this one

May not be what you were after, but thought I'd let you know anyway

HellBent · 13/03/2010 11:37

Sorry Elizabeth he will be 6 on his birthday and prefers the lego games and mario kart like we have on the wii. Thanks anyway

roosterroo · 13/03/2010 16:45

BethAndHerBrood · 14/03/2010 15:38

I've just put some stuff on ebay, how do I get the page that you link to on here?

BethAndHerBrood · 14/03/2010 15:40

I think I've got it! Fingers crossed.

try this

BethAndHerBrood · 14/03/2010 18:50

I can't believe it - I've got 4 watchers already!! And I've had an email about collection rather than posting. Looking good!

Tortoise · 14/03/2010 18:51

Great stuff Beth Good luck.

HellBent · 14/03/2010 20:38

Well done Beth, I am sooo impatient with people that watch items, just bid!

Do you think the amount of days an item lasts for has any bearing on the end value? Or is it more to do with the day it ends on?

MumGoneCrazy · 15/03/2010 02:58

People dont seem to like watching items for too long...i only put things on for 3 or 5 days

Also its best to time your item to end in the evening sunday to thursday mostly sunday if poss, as thats when most people are home, people go out on friday and saturday nights and during the day people are at work.

BethAndHerBrood · 16/03/2010 20:39

I have 25 watchers at the moment, and bids on 2 things. I'm very pleased with the interest.

HellBent · 16/03/2010 20:46

I have a bidding war going on at the moment I am so excited! I have a vintage star wars figure and thought I would get about £10 for it and put the weapons on as an after thought, DS plays with them and his wee lego men, but some of them are up at £12 now!

BethAndHerBrood · 18/03/2010 09:35

OMG! I have 18 watchers on one item! I realise I am going to be bitterly disappointed when it finishes at 99p, but it's exciting for now!

PurpleFrog · 18/03/2010 13:30

Hellbent - I am also wondering about the number of days an item lasts for having a bearing on end value and number of bids. I have tried out a number of different strategies recently. I sold a lot of doll's clothes and accessories earlier in the year and experimented with listing some as 30 day Buy it Now or Best Offer. That brought in a flurry of interest over the first few days then very little until the last week, even though my normal auction items were encouraging buyers to look at my other items as I combine postage etc. etc.. I think I would only use that again for something unusual and unique that I wanted maximum exposure for.

I also think that people forget about items if they have to watch them for too long, and I am getting fed up listing for 10 days as the auctions seem to last forever. I think I shall stick mainly to 7 days in future but I might try some at 5 days finishing on a Sunday, as Tuesday is usually a free evening for me.

HellBent · 19/03/2010 16:35

Figures and weapons went for £52! I am in shock and wish I had listed them earlier! I am still aiming for £250 so will be listing all tomorrow, I am at £97(-£13 for some new converse I treated myself too ) just now

BethAndHerBrood · 19/03/2010 19:48

I have £56 in PP, with 2 items still to be paid for. That includes p&p, Which I didn't think through because now I have to pay for posting myself, IYSWIM?!

Tortoise · 20/03/2010 18:31

Free listing this weekend.

I will re-list some bits tonight and maybe a few extras. Not that i have much left to list!

HellBent · 20/03/2010 22:24

I'll be doing that this weekend as well tortoise, meant to put some on today but couldn't be bothered. Made £6 on a mini boden dress and £1.31 (woohoo!) for a pair of trousers.
