I'm not sure whether it's a bit early in the year for ebaying but I still have mountains of stuff to get rid of!!. Most of the over 99p stuff I had has sold but there is still a lot of things here that might be of interest to others.

After feeling a bit fed of ebay before Christmas I seem to have recovered a bit of enthusiasm for it again after receiving some lovely feedback on items that I didn't expect (I need to have more confidence in what I'm selling!!).

Anyone else want to join me?

EW Yes they are doing ok so far. Fingers crossed other bits sell.
Posted a coat today which sold for 99p in my last lot of listings (They only just paid by PO!) and it cost me £4.50 to post so they got it for 50p!

ElizabethWakefield · 05/05/2010 21:03

Oh that is really annoying! I also feel when things go for 99p, but the time you have paid ebay fees, then paypal fees there's not much of the 99p left!!!

Tortoise · 05/05/2010 21:09

That is very true but like i said to my friend this morning, you win some, you lose some. I had a charity shop dress bought in sale for 25p sell for £16! Now that was a good result!

ElizabethWakefield · 05/05/2010 21:34

That was a great result!

notcitrus · 07/05/2010 07:39

Free listings this weekend apparently.
Will try to get a couple mobile phones listed.

Tortoise · 07/05/2010 19:12

My items end tonight. So far 5 out of 12 have a bid or more.
Not sure if i have anything ready to list this weekend so probably won't worry about it being free listing weekend.

HellBent · 07/05/2010 21:44

How is everyone doing? I have added a few, we managed to get the central heating system money as a loan of PIL so I am hoping to make a bit to put in a power shower, it makes sense if everything else is being done at the same time!

I have around £100, or did have until I bid on some things earlier!

HellBent · 07/05/2010 21:48

Stuff here

Tortoise · 07/05/2010 22:02

Need to add up tonights sales. Not done great apart from DD2's Fifi toys which sold for £30.10!!

Tortoise · 07/05/2010 22:05

Made £49 in total. Not too bad.

HellBent · 07/05/2010 22:17

I noticed those, at £16 when I looked but too high for me to bid. well done tortoise!

Tortoise · 11/05/2010 17:04

I have 999 feedbacks, just 1 more needed to get my 1000 red star.
Must get around to packaging and posting bits that ended the other day!

roosterroo · 11/05/2010 17:46

wow 1000, have £52 in the paypal account - I will not spend it, really I will not

need to do some listing but have Ds2 at home with tonsilitis needing lots of attention !!

ElizabethWakefield · 12/05/2010 19:03

1000 wow! That's good going!

Looks like everyone's sales are doing quite well

I sold about £50 worth over the weekend, and have relisted the things that didn't sell. Just about to add on a few more in the next hour or so. Just over 7 weeks til my holiday, so I really need to try and make as much as i can.

ElizabethWakefield · 12/05/2010 20:23

34 items listed, fingers crossed!!

Tortoise · 12/05/2010 21:06

EW I'm watching your boden flip flops. DD1 needs a new pair for this year.

I have my red star . 1000 feedbacks.

Only 4000 needed to get to my next star!!!!!

ElizabethWakefield · 13/05/2010 14:27

Hurrah on the star

The flip flops didn't sell last time I had them on, so you might well get them for 99p

Tortoise · 13/05/2010 20:47

I must have missed them last time, unless that was before these threads?
99p would be a nice bargain. Not so good for you though. Knowing my luck they will get masses of bids!

SpookyMadMummy · 13/05/2010 21:03

Can I join in this thread? We are de-junking and selling to hopefully move house.

Cheeky I know, but here is my stuff. I am trying to take advantage of the allowance of 100 free listings a month... and being part of this thread should help me be on track

Tortoise · 13/05/2010 21:29

Hi Spooky. Good luck with your items.

ElizabethWakefield · 14/05/2010 17:44

Good luck spooky

I had the flip flops listed last week, and no interest at all (as was the case for a lot of my items ) I am hopeful that this week will be better.

Just out of interest, do any of you get questions from sellers in Europe asking if you will post it to them, and then them telling you how much it will cost, but totally underestimating it, then being really rude when you give then a proper price? I have had this about 5 or 6 times in a row. It's so annoying, most recently a woman in France wanted 3 items and said postage should only be £1.20! I couldn't even send it within the UK for that!

Tortoise · 14/05/2010 17:47

EW I think i jsut looked at you girls clothes listing last time. Didn't think to look at shoes too! DD1 says they are lovely.

I have had international buyers ask to send to them and giving me a price but in general it has been accurate.

ElizabethWakefield · 14/05/2010 20:21

I hope you are lucky then

I am getting a bit sick of ebay now, but still have loads of things to put on and need to make some more money, but feel like i am starting to force myself to do it now, whereas in the beginning I was quite excited by it all!

Tortoise · 14/05/2010 21:51

I know what you mean. I don't have much left to list, although i have to go through the cupboard and see whats left in there from last years unsold items!!!! Justs takes so long to list then Ebay charges and paypal charges nick loads of it then there is the packaging and trips to PO!
I do like money in paypal at the end of it though lol!

Tortoise · 16/05/2010 19:21

Yay! EW I won the flip flops. DD1 will be very happy (Hope they fit her, or DD2 will get them!!)
