Still time to make a few quid before Christmas.
Could be good for those unwanted presents after Christmas!

I didn't list any new things - having a break for Christmas though feel a bit silly as sure I could have got rid of some stuff for presents etc.

I made over 500 in the month or so and I will get back to it after Christmas but it's a lot of work when you work full time and run a home too. The benefits are definitely worth it. I think i'll start again but for spending money at the holidays.

Boys got their Christmas tv early and it seems to have rekindled their interest in a lot of the wii and PS3 games that I thought I could flog!

I've never eBayed before I came on MN, and even then it took a year to pluck up the courage to actually do it.

It was hellishly slow when I started in the summer, and I thought, 'What's the fuss about?'

But December is something else.

Unless it all gets sent back for a refund in January.

And respect on selling a fork on a twirly stick for, well, anything, really.

my stars are now sitting at 5 for everything - the "as described" was stubbornly at 4.9 for ages but it's back up to 5 courtesy of the last jacket i sold which the lady came to collect - that felt a bit weird - I like to do my selling at a distance!!

Lol I checked completed listings first and saw they sell well .

Ah Nuts. Collect Plus & Myhermes (so probably all the couriers) are only promising delivery by 24 December if collection completed no later than X PM (?4pm) on Friday 14th. They only announced that TODAY (unhelpful).

I've amended some of my listings to say that extra postage will be required if items are desired by Christmas.

Yes I've got a big heavy thing finishing Thursday so I guess I can fart about all day Friday morning to get it into the MyHermes system.

Aarrgh - thanks for reminding me. I have just checked Royal Mail Standard Parcels and last recommended posting date is Thursday 13th. (I knew the dates for 1st and 2nd class.) I have one listing that I will have to amend to alert people to this!

I've just spent the last hour and a half packing up my sold buggy and organising couriers for it and the Wii fit board/game. The wrapped buggy looks like a body...it's going to be fun dropping that off at the depot tomorrow !!

He replied to my Ebay msg on .. 1 December? To ask me to be patient about slow Xmas post. Which I thought about since I know the post is in fact extra quick then; it's after that that post slows to a stall. But then as a mostly seller I know what it's like to be at mercy of delivery service.

Anyway, low value item & obviously I'm one of very many, so don't expect any trouble with Paypal refund.

NOW, i need to find some other cheap spicy sweets for DS stocking.

I was just in Debenhams at their big sweet jars. (I mean they are biiiiiig.) £17 with 20% off. Is that good value? £13.60 for a load of mixed boiled sugared sweets (think rhubarb and custard) in a glass jar. There must be a kilo.

I am having a last push this week and trying to add a few toys. I am still editing some that i got on for free and real life has got in the way.

I have seen a couple of these sell and it is brand new .....but wonder if £7 is too much with the high postage ?

You could courier it cheaper, SNOW? I'm looking a getting some things sent via MyHermes (drop off point in town). The woman there told me today that they are accepting items for Christmas right up until the morning of the 19th, which means buyers have until 9am of the morning of the 19th December to pay.

But you have to book through the website and I don't know if MyHermes will stop accepting orders earlier than that.

Otherwise you could try to sell them now and offer 1st class postage, and just be clear about the cost of the postage in the body of the listing as well as in the 'p&p' box.

With my generous Paypal Balance I've bought these boots for me. I wanted something for city walking.

All compliments accepted. Although if you hate them please just smile politely. I don't have courage to show them off on a S+B thread(!)
