Last thread full so starting new one.
Still time to make a few quid before Christmas.
Could be good for those unwanted presents after Christmas! Grin

Good idea purple. After this batch I have a maclaren quest to sell then I'm bagging it all up for cash for clothes. I would prefer to give the clothes to people in need but my local charity shop sorts through the clothes then sells the rest on to rag trade people.

I'm
Clearing out in prep for house move. Do any of you have any tips for ebaying stuff before moving?

I did a quick relist of everything at about 10.45 tonight. Didn't really want it all ending so late buy forgot before then. I had a few bits to add to listings too, oh well.
I just read that EBay are changing fees to come out of combined item sale price and postage like paypal do. Won't be worth selling at all soon.

In the end, I just did re-lists and didn't get anything new on. I dropped the price of a few things and sorted a few typos. Now that all 12 photos are free I may do some extra photos this week and add to the existing listings.

With the change in the fees in September, I suppose I should try and list anything bulky and heavy later this month!

Bakingnovice - when are you moving? Do you have a date sorted out? If you don't it is probably better to wait until at least September to start listing. But you can do all the hard work now! Grin

I want to list before September before the fees increase. I have had bids on 2 of the 25 items I listed this weekend which I'm happy with as I've found it really quiet lately. I'm going to give Gumtree a try for selling off some furniture as I'm not sure if its worth putting it on eBay and waiting for local interest.

I guess I was wrong about eBay being slow just now - I also have 2 items with bids on, and just over 7 days to go! I wish I had made more effort this past weekend!

I suppose it depends on the density of the population in your area, but I would try Gumtree with larger items before eBay. The local paper can also be useful for advertising some things if you have a free 50-and-under column. I find that you reach a different set of buyers through that. And Netmums local boards can also be good. Then, if they haven't sold try eBay.

Thanks purple.

Postage is a nightmare! I feel silly putting something on for 99p then 4.20 postage. It seems ridiculous.

I'm planning on bundling up the clothes that don't sell but know postage will be a nightmare. I've also today out some really nice quality school coats on trying to get them on before school starts. I hope there's another free listing weekend soon.

Just got an email for free listing tomorrow on 10 day listings. I've got a few bits to list including a kids bmx bike.

I haven't got an e-mail but it is listed on eBay's General Announcements so it is open to everyone! Looks like I should try and get some stuff sorted out tonight.

I'm going to sort some this afternoon. Will be exercising the children in a game of badminton between 2&3 at the sports centre then will get on with it. Smile

I am happy - I already have 6 items with bids! Smile I have 12 listings finishing tomorrow evening and 2 on Sunday.

So much for it being slow - some of these things have been re-listed many times. Maybe it is because I don't have much competition at the moment?

When is the next free listing?

Hardly any baby clothes selling so I'm going to bundle them up and sell them. Feel better about doing this now I've used my Hermes. It's quite a good price for 0-2kg I think.

I imagine it will be free listing over bank holiday weekend.

I hope to get some "new" stuff on. I am feeling a bit more enthusiastic about eBay after selling 6 items on Tuesday evening, although one buyer has not paid yet Sad. I also have bids on one of my 2 items that finish on Sunday.

Good job I looked on here. I didn't get a free listing email.

The 10 day items I listed are going quite well. Good amount of watchers on some of it. And a boys Bhs t-shirt is up to £5 so far with 8 bids!

I looked at my account on the laptop and my seller performance is below standard on items description.
Yet I've had no complaints about items not being as described.
Got another neg thanks to Royal fucking mail! Item not received.

That's a pain Tortoise - can you work out which buyers gave you low stars?

Someone gave me a 1 for dispatch time earlier in the year. I am still fuming. Angry I worked out which item it was - I had posted it 2 days after payment was received. It wasn't my fault there was a Monday holiday the next week!

I am still waiting for payment for an item I sold last Tuesday - I thought they might have been on holiday for the week as the bid was made a few days before the item finished. But no, no word from them, so I opened a case on Sunday evening.

I have 11 things on at the moment, 7 relists and 4 new items. My de-cluttering has ground to a halt - I really need to get back into it and get some more piles and boxes of stuff sorted out.
