Last thread full so starting new one.
Still time to make a few quid before Christmas.
Could be good for those unwanted presents after Christmas! Grin

Oooh.. now I've had a reply along the lines that I am doing it all wrong.
I should go with a low starting price and let the item rise to its "natural" sale price.
That's me Told, then.
Not that I'll pay any attention, mind. Wink

lljkk Some people are really trying are't they! Hope it sells.

I'm finished now until first free listing after Christmas. Then will relist the lot, again!

Got £15 yesterday for a last minute one day listing of a dog's reindeer coat/jumper! Think that may be more than I paid for it new! Grin

I've just been checking feedback to check my annoying seller's FB hasn't been removed and ended up checking through my own received FB as a seller and it has motivated me to get listing as soon as Christmas is out of the way Grin. I hadn't realised I'd been selling throughout the whole of this year, except for August. So, why does my house look as cluttered as ever...surely, with all the things I've sold over the last year or so, it should be a clutter-free palace!!

it's amazing how many people will be bored on boxing day and spending xmas money online as well as listing the unwanted gifts i bet it will be free listing from 25th-27th as well

I've still got 3 non paying bidders. Finally got a reply from one today who said they hadn't been paid and could the pay on the 30th!

I've got a few bits I could relist. I won't hold out much hope though, and am unlikely to get time to prepare any new lstings.

We'll see! My ebaying will definitely continue in 2013!

I've got a few days off over the next couple of weeks so am going to try and get a few things listed...mostly to clear clutter rather than make big bucks!

My goal for 2013 is to hit 1,000 FB (I'm at 803 at the moment!) ... better get listing!

Free listing 26th Dec to 1st Jan Smile
Will at least re-list my unsold stuff. Wondering whether to put some unsold business stock on my normal account. Need to clear it out to re-stock!

I've got maybe 80 relists plus 33 new listings. None of the new stuff is unwanted Xmas gifts, either. It's never ending. Shock

I've been meaning to say, I used a courier for the first time just before Christmas! MyHermes (used the drop-off shop nearest to me, which happily is on my route to work).

The buyer seems happy enough (touch wood). So much cheaper than Royal Mail would have been!

Sold a Wii game yesterday on one of the fixed price listings I started nearly 3 weeks ago!

LineRunner · 27/12/2012 22:53

Oh lord I'd forgotten about the Wii stuff. It's in a box somewhere.

lljkk · 28/12/2012 09:53

Something I had strong sense would never sell at all got the first bid! And several others are going or look likely to.

Just as well because I forgot about the 100 listing limit, so only put things on for 5 days thinking I'd relist again before 1 Jan (oops).

PurpleFrog · 29/12/2012 18:25

I couldn't get motivated until yesterday. I re-listed 8 items yesterday evening, putting most of them on for 3 days so I can re-list again on Monday, if necessary. I was flabbergasted this morning to find that one (sealed) DVD that has been re-listed at least 10 times has got a bid! OK - I did drop the starting price from £1.99 to £1.50, but I am still shocked!

Today, I have scheduled another listing that I intend to make live later, and I have put 2 adverts on Gumtree. Tomorrow, I have a few more things to photograph - assuming we get any proper daylight, that is!

Over the next week I really need to do some serious de-cluttering upstairs. The downstairs is fine as I did it before visitors arrived for Christmas Day. However, the problem piles have just moved and our bedroom and the landing is a disaster zone - with minor avalanches if anything is touched!

LineRunner · 29/12/2012 18:32

I did finally get an enquiry about the Wii bundle but I'm too poorly to have someone come to the house to collect it.

Bah.

Report
Tortoise · 29/12/2012 19:13

I think I will only get relists done. Everything is piled in the cupboard and I don't want to pull it all out.

Hi there, I haven't been on MN for a while but I am working myself up to another clear out and ebay session so thought I would pop in and say hello. I recognise some of the names here. Waves!

Hi carrotsandcelery! Waves back!

Linerunner - I hope you are feeling better now!

I posted another package today. That takes my total selling profits for the year to £982.32! So, I haven't quite make the round £1000... but almost! Xmas Grin Although, something finishing tonight has a bid (of £1.50!), and there are 7 others without bids, so I suppose there is still time Xmas Wink.

2013 is going to be the year of the BIG de-clutter, although I'm not sure how much of that will produce saleable stuff for eBay! Considering the volume of stuff that I know has gone out of the house this year, there is still too much stuff everywhere! This year I have managed to get rid of most of the things that are obviously worth something. I have some stuff that still needs attention before it can be sold, and a whole lot of electronic stuff to sell for spares or repair if I can collect together all the chargers, manuals, boxes etc.. I also have to do something about my stash of fabric and yarn which is threatening to take over the place! I think I should have a look in the online sales for some more large stackable storage boxes with lids for the loft!

Carrots - I was thinking about you the other day and wondering if you'd NC'd (it's me, mogs0!).

I don't think I'll get anything listed this time afterall...unless I find some enthusiasm to do any tomorrow.

Purplefrog - so close and I will keep my fingers crossed for £12 worth of bids this evening! Grin

I sent off a parcel today, too. I feel a bit bad because it's taken me since Boxing Day to get it to the post office (4 doors away!) but I'm hoping the buyer won't mind too much and appreciate the hecticness of this time of year!

Hi everyone, I'm going to be ebaying etc. too - I don't have a target in mind for how much to make (I managed £100 in December but I don't think I'm going to be able to do that every month!) but I don't want to hold on to things unless they're being used, so my target is not to end up with random bags of stuff 'to ebay' all over the house - if it's for ebay and not for a season (I have some summer clothes waiting) then it should be on ebay!
