Thanks all - I feel a bit better. I’m the same as you @Waiting2BAMummy I end up feeling bad so eat more.

@Waiting2BAMummy fingers crossed for this month.

@bitheby hopefully you won’t get a high temperature now.

@KLO0224 your weight loss is really good. Annoying about your donor but who knows it could still be ok.

Overlyanxious · 26/03/2021 21:13

I ended up doing some cleaning and that seems to have shaken a lot of the negativity. I don’t feel positive, but don’t feel quite so bad. I also finally managed to text two of my ex colleagues who are currently pregnant. I’ve been avoiding them for ages as couldn’t deal with it. I feel a lot better for messaging and sharing in their happy news.

Waiting2BAMummy · 26/03/2021 21:49

Glad you’re feeling a little better @Overlyanxious you can always vent here, we get it!

Hope your arm feels better soon @bitheby And I hope you don’t get a fever.

I hope you manage to see your donor this month @KLO0224. I got to see mine this month but he’s away next month. Massive congratulations on your weight loss that’s a great achievement. You should be super proud of yourself, especially keeping going when it would have been so easy to give up after your losses. You got this! 💪

Right well I am officially confused. For the last few days I’ve had sore boobs, so regular groping has recommenced. This morning my temperature has risen. So I thought why not just do a cheap ovulation test, I have like a million so... and there was a second line. I put it in Premom and it said high! What do I do? Do I inseminate? I’m only CD9 I don’t usually ovulate until CD15 at the very earliest!? Help!

KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 08:15

@Waiting2BAMummy sorry I’ve just seen your precious post, I am super proud of myself and to be honest I think it’s the losses that have kept me motivated, I know that fertility is affected by overall health so I wanted to get as fit as possible after the first miscarriage. Don’t get me wrong there are weeks where I have fell off the wagon. But I see the baby box at the bottom of my wardrobe and it spurs me on again!

Waiting2BAMummy · 28/03/2021 08:52

You have nothing to lose by trying @KLO0224 and if your donor won’t be around when you usually ovulate getting in before hand you’re still in with a chance.
It’s great that you’ve managed to turn your losses into motivation, it shows true strength of character. As for stepping off the wagon, it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, what matters is that you get back up again and you have. I also think that if this is to last it has to be real and you’re never going to not have a treat again so having something every now and then is fine and it clearly isn’t hindering you’re progress. You’re doing great.

Even more confused now 🤷‍♀️

Um well, congrats! I don't think there's much doubt about those!

I did wonder whether AF was really AF when it came before. Could have been an early pregnancy bleed. What are you going to do now? Might you be able to get an early scan to check dates?

KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 12:05

But AF was very AF like with a lot of pain! And it lasted for the usual 5 days? Il ring the doctors tomorrow and see if they can help? Xx

bitheby · 28/03/2021 12:24

Maybe they can do blood tests to see whether HCG is rising or falling? I hope I haven't jumped the gun. Fingers crossed for good news.

Waiting2BAMummy · 28/03/2021 14:41

Oh wow @KLO0224 I was not expecting to see that.

Maybe your ‘period’ was actually implantation bleeding. I’ve read posts from a number of women who have had what they thought was their period, same length etc, and then go on to find out they’re actually pregnant.

I hope this is it for you, definitely contact your GP hopefully they’ll do bloods to check your HCG levels and then again 48 hours later to make sure they’re rising. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

OP posts:
KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 15:48

@Waiting2BAMummy I’m not holding out much hope. I think the bleeding I had with AF would seriously compromise any implantation. It was very heavy and painful. I just don’t understand the pregnancy test being positive!
I only did a test because I am way too early for ovulation and had read that OPK can pick up HCG. I don’t know, il ring the doctors tomorrow and see if they will do anything. If not il just test again in a week and if still positive then go from there!

bitheby · 28/03/2021 15:55

Your temps were looking brilliant before AF so it could be an early loss which is still showing HCG. I hope it's not and it's a viable pregnancy.

I never made it to 2-3 weeks on a digital. My miscarriage was at 5 weeks and I was testing negative again a few days before I started bleeding but when it did start, I had contractions before an evening of intense pain and then the bleeding started. Wasn't any heavier or longer than a normal period. It was very obviously not just a normal period though.

2-3 would still fit with your dates wouldn't it? Got everything crossed.

KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 16:42

To be honest I think it is just another early loss, the bleeding was heavy during AF. Plus my temps dropped and the pregnancy test I did the day before /of AF arriving was a stark white negative. It was a FRER too so surely should have picked something up?
God it’s never straight forward is it 😂
If it is a loss, I shouldn’t expect more bleeding now should I? I should be waiting for ovulation now!

bitheby · 28/03/2021 17:16

But where have the positive tests come from if it was a BFN before the bleed? HCG must be coming from somewhere.

In your shoes I would still follow it up with the GP/ early pregnancy unit.

KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 17:34

Hmm, I don’t know! It’s all a mystery and it’s making me feel really anxious!
I will definitely phone the doctors first thing tomorrow!
I will keep you informed!

Waiting2BAMummy · 28/03/2021 17:34

Maybe you implanted late @KLO0224 if you had a stark negative just before AF then your HCG has risen since then to give you a positive on a clearblue digital.

Whatever is going on you need answers and I hope that your GP does your bloods though that too means at least a couple more days of waiting.

Bless you, why can these things never be simple?!

OP posts:
KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 17:52

Yep you are right @Waiting2BAMummy I need to know one way or another!
I can probably cope with a few days of waiting. We have a busy week with it been half term so il be occupied.
I feel sick at the minute though, that’s just nerves and anxiety though.
I’m worried that if it is positive and viable I may have done some damage with the painkillers I was taking during AF. I was alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen every 2 hours. I’ve also eaten pâté and probably other things I should not eat! I’m just spiralling I know but I’m worried!

bitheby · 28/03/2021 18:23

Don't worry about any of that. If you are pregnant then there's no direct link with the baby yet so anything you do in the first few days won't transfer across. The risk with pate I think is listeria and you would know by now if you had it. It will all be fine.

KLO0224 · 28/03/2021 18:49

Thank you @bitheby. Deep down I know all this! Just having a panic. Just about to get in the bath and try to relax.
What will be will be, I can’t do anything about any of it now so just need to be more calm about it 😂

Overlyanxious · 29/03/2021 06:09

@KLO0224 keeping my fingers crossed for you. Please don’t stress about what you’ve eaten etc - loads of women do lots worse and have massive benders when they don’t know they are pregnant.

I’m sorry you have to go through all this confusion right now x

KLO0224 · 29/03/2021 08:20

Well I phoned our EPAU and they said all I can do is wait it out. Recommended to wait 2 weeks and if still positive then to contact midwife. She said it could be an early miscarriage and in that case there would be nothing they could do anyway! So that’s that!

Overlyanxious · 29/03/2021 08:31

@KLO0224 that’s so frustrating. When I had an early miscarriage I felt really unwell and ended up going to the walk in centre at A&E. They sent me for an ultrasound and took my blood and said if the hcg was too high I would need to come back the next day and so on. The ultrasound showed that there was nothing there so the miscarriage was basically over and luckily my hcg levels were low. I wonder if you can push a bit and ask for the scan or at least for some blood tests over the next few days as if the hcg levels decrease will clearly show it is a miscarriage and if they increase you may need to wait a bit longer to get some clarity.

Overlyanxious · 29/03/2021 08:33

And they could tell you now if your hcg levels are high enough for a pregnancy or not.

KLO0224 · 29/03/2021 09:22

I’ve phoned my GP too and they also said wait it out. I can understand they are busy and it’s not a priority but it’s a long time to wait not knowing. They said as the test was negative before the bleed and the bleed was so heavy with clots that there probably is no viable pregnancy. They have made a note on my records of a potential third miscarriage.
