If it was just me I wanted to say 100% no yesterday but the others were insisting Dublin would be fine today.

It's windy here and showery.

3luckystars · 06/04/2024 23:08

I went to Dublin anyway, and it was lovely and sunny, a few gusts and few trees on the train track but totally grand.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 08/04/2024 18:34

Glad you got on ok @3luckystars it can be hard to tell, sometimes the weather where I am is completely different to my sister who is only a few km away from me in the same county!

Really hoping for an improvement in the weather now, so much for Springtime!!

LadyEloise1 · 08/04/2024 19:14

It's not lovely and sunny in Dublin now. Relentless rain.

LadyEloise1 · 09/04/2024 13:53

Today is lovely
Windy, but the sun is shining and the sky is blue.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 09/04/2024 14:19

Yep, terrible windy where I am but at least I'm looking at blue sky for a change! I was talking to a farmer's wife earlier about just how bad it's been. So many of their livestock have got pneumonia and the ground is completely sodden so crops are a mess. All I could think was 'there's the shopping bill going up again so' !!

eggandonion · 20/04/2024 15:11

I did a small bit of gardening...it is solid mud still but I snipped some things.
The news from the Stardust is good for the families. What a long road...the photos are from another era like photos from the troubles. I thought Patrick Kielty was going to cry reading the names.

Taytocrisps · 20/04/2024 15:45

It's gorgeous out today. I was in Woodies and there was lots of plant buying going on. The butcher said he's been selling lots of burgers. I've the windows open and it's lovely hearing the sounds of summer coming in - the drone of a lawn mower and the sound of kids playing.

DeanElderberry · 20/04/2024 15:56

I have several wild cherry trees, and am enoying the gentle drift of white petals. Also enjoying the Merlin app on my phone telling me what all the lovely sounds in the garden are being sung by - songthrush, robin, blackcap, wren, starling . . . even a distant buzzard.

Very sad to see all those trees hacked down in Dodder Valley Park.
Cherry blossom and Apple blossom trees are so beautiful and lift the spirits after the dull and dreary wet winter we have had.

What kind of nutter does that Sad
